"I actually never knew that the axe could do that." Ace shrugged, glaring at Bultair, while walking backwards.
"Well then, that was new." Butlair said, watching Ace curiously, the arrow flew past his head harmlessly. "Can you do it again?" He grinned, extending his arm.

Lee knew her aim was off, her mind wasn't on the target. She didn't want to switch weapons either, so she wasn't really helping the situation much. Do it! Do it now! Her mind screamed at her. She pulled back aiming roughtly lower her mind stilled somewhere else as she fired. She grabbed another one trying to pull herself back on track. "Kai escaped you, which means your not as good as you seem! We can beat you, and we will." She fired again, not having aimed knowing her string was lose, making her shots off a bit.

Ace charged as Lee fired. Bultair was taken off guard by the crotch shot, so he didn't see Ace coming until the axe stuck his forearm.

Lee smiled, it was working, slightly. Her shots sucked, she tension was on in the string, which was why the last shot went short. She switched over again, position the lance and bringing the reins down on Kari, she needed the jump start to sit deep in the saddle. Kari lunged and Lee slipped into place. "Ace move!" She didn't want him backing into the path of Kari or the lance. She held her breath as they barreled down upon the two of them. Four, three...

Instead of Ace moving himself, Bultair, still with an arrow stuck in his crotch, blasted Ace away. "Pitiful. Just stabbing at me won't kill me, you know. But by all means, try." Bultair mocked, ripping the arrow out with a shudder from Ace.

She and Kari had missed, Kari had shied at the blast. She swung around aiming for his back, trying to work a way out. "No, but someone has to try. If Kai got away then magic must have not worked. Or worked so well you couldn't stop him and Kuria, either way, you still didn't get him. So you can't be that almighty!"

"Have you yet to realize that maybe i wanted him to escape? That a witness would spread a tale of how i couldn't be stopped, how i could feed off of this newfound fear?" Bultair pivoted, grabbing the lance and flinging both it and Lee over his head. "I don't know why i waste my time." He growled, stepping forward, his hand in the air. "Now die." He brought his hand down, only to have it removed by Ace's axe.
"You were saying?"
"Impossible! my Hand!"

Lee was stunned again, sure she'd been thrown off a horse several dozen times but that never happened before. Kari was now standing between Bultair and Lee only to have Ace save the day. Considering Lee's helm had blocked her vision she missed most of it. But at Bultair's yell and Ace's probable saving her life. She fought to stand and remount, all while pushing her helm out of the way.

"So you can't grow back your body parts after they have been copped off?" Ace grinned maliciously, while raising his axe.
"You fool... You think that a wound such as this will hinder me? You underestimate me gravely..." Bultair stepped back, and with his left hand, he cast another spell. "We'll see if that axe can block the vampire spell, Nosferatu!" He roared, the white mist surrounding Ace.
"Oh crap..."

Lee was still slow, something was wrong. "Kari now!" Lee shifted back to the bow. Slipping the string off as Kari charged at Bultair with full intention of running him over. Lee whipped the string over and slip knotted it. Good for maybe a shot or two if that. She pulled back and fired at him as Kari came down upon him. She pulled out a second one and prayed something would happen soon.

Bultair saw the trampling coming, so he backed out of the way. He didn't, however, see the arrow. It distracted him long enough for Ace to escape the spell with minor injuries. "You think those arrows will stop me?" Bultair roared, one again ripping an arrow from his body.
"No, but this axe will." Ace brought the ace down on Bultair's left shoulder, cleaving off his arm. He then whipped the axe around and beheaded him, shaking off the blood to end the process. "Whew. I'm so going to visit that Tavern again."

"LEANNA!!"
"EEP!" Lee whipped around as fast she could to see a man roughly about 24, dismounting a red roan horse and rushing over.
"Leanna what are doing here?! Your SUPPOSED to be on the farm with Claire! Not tramping about nearly getting yourself killed!" The man looked angry, yet relived.
"I-I... was looking for you. That's Ace just so you know."
"Your both damn lucky to be alive." The next thing Lee knew she was being hugged by him.
"Uh... Kai, not now, bad time." She struggled out, but leaned on him. "Ace Kai, Kai Ace. There are we all good?"
Kai only nodded to Ace, looking past him the what remained of Bultair. He can't be dead. No he can't be. "We should leave, now."

"Uh... Hi." Ace quickly waved. "No, i ain't leavin'. I'm gonna go kill some soldiers. See ya!" Off he ran, running outside the crumbling arena, axe in hand.

"Is he always that thick?"
"Kai shut up now before he hears you, he saved my life like a dozen times before you showed up, and did a bunch of other important stuff."
Kai sighed and looked at her. "You've grown quite a bit Leanna, it's nice to see Mother trained you to fight. I can't wait to see her again, after father's death I need to get stronger before I came home. I wasn't good enough that day, but now I am, I'll keep you both safe."
"Kai, she's dead, been about three years..."
"Leanna I'm sorry I should have been there, how?"
Lee backed away. "Illness, overworked herself to death." Lee walked over to examine Kari.
"Lee your back is out slightly, your not walking right, stop hiding it."
"It's nothing just sore, bad landing the second time." She was happy Kari was okay and went over to Kuria. "Hey girl, been keeping Kai safe for me haven't ya?" She hugged the horse's neck.
"Leanna!" Kai sighed, she'd always been horse obsessed. "I didn't become a Mage Knight for nothing! Stop moving!"
Lee only rolled her eyes.
Meanwhile: Soal had seen Kai run by and followed so when Ace came out , guess who had put up with Soal attempting to lick them to death. Yep Poor Ace.
