Aura pushed herself off the floor grudgingly and straightened herself out trying to restore what dignity she had of the day. "I didn't sleep, I needed the coffee to be cheerful." Sh sighed and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear then righted the chair. Instantly she pointed to Nailah. "She did it."

Khenu hugged Bastet and laughed. "Salvation!" He clasped his hands around her neck for balance and then nodded furiously. "Yup, Niah said my hair was messy so she brushed it. Then I complained. Then she tickled me and it went from fun to horrible. So I ran. Then I found Aura and hit her chair. The Niah hit me hit the chair and then knocked us all down."

Bastet gently combed Khenu's hair some more with her claws, hugged him, then set the boy down. "Your hair probably needed it from what I saw yesterday, but serious tickling is no fun after a while. So Nailah, must I hurt you?"
"And why did you not sleep? I mean really Aura, just because you can stay up does not mean you should, cat's have always tried to teach Egyptians that sleep is good." She grinned still a little sleepy herself.

Niah glared at Khenu. "Tattletale." She looked at Bastet and laughed. "It was all fun. I swear. We were just messing around. And I tried to stop...really I did. But...I couldn't. And...and...well...it all went from there. But Khenu wasn't hurt, were you?" she asked looking at him.

She looked skeptically at Nailah, "I heard something about crushing something, but I was just playing anyway. Why is it that everyone always descends upon the kitchen? Kitchen out courtyard is where I always find people."

"Yeah...what about AUrahkah...no she's fine...she just got knocked into a pile with her coffee.." Her rambling quickly went Egyptian. She sighed and picked up the poor now cracked coffee mug then looked to Bastet. "Eclipse had me keeping tabs on that Darius boy...whihc was nothing eventful mind you."

Nailah shook her head. She took Aura's cracked mug and placed it gently in the sink. Opening the cabinet she took down a new one and filled it with teh brew Aura needed so badly. Walking toward her with the cup she said, "Here. You need this worse than anyone else. Drink it all and then talk to me." Looking at Bastet she said, "Darius?"

"Nothing happened at all? I thought I heard a few people walking around last night, but why were you keeping tabs on him? He is just a boy with secrets, which is, fairly normal around here as of late." She swished her tail under Khenu's nose, then walked innocently over to the fridge and poured some milk for herself and started drinking it.
She looked over to Nailah, "He seemed rather suspiscious and defensive, but he is a boy, tis the way of boys."

Khenu swatted at Bastet's tail and stuck his tongue out in Niah's direction. "See what torturing me gets you?" He laughed happily at several things. Nailah's nervousness towards Bastet, Bastet's threats to Niah and Aura's oh so wonderful attitude of the morning.

"For him protecting you so much, you really do not sound like you appreciate him sometimes." She shook her head and lapped at her milk some more. "So where was he anyway? And does anyone want anything?"

"Khenu mentioned something. I...felt something last night but I assumed it was nothing. It felt...strange and...evil. Is the boy a threat? Or is he just one more of us? We are a rather peculiar cast of characters after all. One more will certainly not harm us..or will he?" She was a little unsure of this new character she had heard a little about. SHe would do anything to protect those that had become so dear to her in such a short time. Anything. She looked at Bastet. "No, I'm fine. THanks."

"You know how over the top the creature can be. I don't see why he is being this way lately. Maybe it's the whole portal to hell thing or something. Or maybe just Coban's demands upon the poor thing..." She sighed. "Eclipse is off checking out whatever bothered his nose, I haven't seen him as of today. As for Darius..he spent all night in his room sleeping...."

Khenu took his own seat at the table across from Aura. "If you're not hogging the mil Bastet, can I have some?" He looked to her and blinked cutely accompanied by his lop sided almost famous grin.

"No, you can have some Khenu." She poured him a big glass and walked over to hand it to him, while sitting down beside him. "Something felt wrong about him, and the healing magic did not work, but he held a conversation with us, and was scared. Fear is a trait looked down upon, but shows a level humanity, even if he was rude." She sipped at her milk some more, and watched her friends.
