Rai quickly puts her whip back into her hands, as it had fallen when the giant picked her up.
Rai quickly from ledge to ledge, getting closer and closer to the giants gigantic eyebrows.
Rai used her whip to slash his right ear, then the other. clearly given a distraction, she jumps beside the scroll, which had conviently rolled away from the giant under a boulder.
the giant, picked up the scroll and seemed to use it as a warm pad ((you know, things that make pain feel less excruciating))
sighing ever so slightly, Rai went back up to a ledge, which was quite close to the giant's eardrum.
Rai swipped it away from the giant's hold, which seemed to give him even more pain.
"Roar!!!! God blimey, why in the world 'id yeh hav' to hurt meh ever more? i may seem stupid, but am not!!! i don' mind youse humans, but now you make me mad!!!"
"you speak? well, ive seen, and heard stranger things. anyways, sorry for hurting you. only trying to get that scroll i just knocked out of your grasp. very important to me, as you see, er....hear"
"well, since youse like it so much, ima gonna keep it!"
he seemed very glad with his decision, but i wasnt, and he clearly was going to regret it.
"no hard feelings then, if i do this then, eh?"
using my slash, i whipped it acroos his face, many times. the giant roared with pain, but no monster could stop me. slashing his right wrist right off, i then asked him a question.
"may i now take the scroll? please"
"argg!!! yeh didnt hav' teh hurt me, yeh know!"
{i think i did} grabbing the scroll, then heading back up.
"dont even think of coming after me, unless you dont value your life"
coming back up to the grass, i breathed heavily. almost done.

Slyrin took a step back. his face showed little emotion, and there was a cold look in his eyes. He then said in a flat voice "The first move could easily become the last. Very well then, I like easy prizes." He did seven seals and slammed his hand onto the ground and yelled "Earth release, split earth turn around palm!" and the ground under Conen began to spiral into itself. Slyrin had suddenly dissapeared. From the center of the whirlpool of mud his hand rose once more and grabbed Conen's ankle. The muffled sound of Slyrin voice beneath the earth said "Combination jutsu! Death's Patient Grip!".

Taking some wire, he attached it to some kunai, loosing some other wire-triggered kunai and directly to the side of the Chuunin. On the wire, he placed explosive notes. He was taking a leaf out of his experience from the cave. Only two of them were really explosive notes, but the Chuunin didn’t need to know that.
“You’re trapped.” Tossing a kunai to activate one of the real notes for effect, he knew he won when the Chuunin’s face fell.

((Haha, same technique Shikamaru used in the second Naruto movie..))

((Partially yes, partially no. I was doing the cave one kind of off the second movie, but I was waiting for my teammate so that we could RP to take out the Chuunin. In the end, I opted for something similar. Though... Akira ended up only using 3 wires for it instead of all of them. Thanks for your thoughts, though))

Conen vanished into the ground as he allowed his oponent to think he was attacking the real him. He swiftly appeared again from the behind and grabed his waist, "Really, even Tif can beat you and she's really terible at this stuff."
Before hisoponent had a chance to strick back he released his grip and revealed a gutar, "Tif, take it over." He said before he turned into Tifany.
"I'm assuming this is between you, Conen, and me. I don't want to fight you, but I have no choice in the matter." Tiffany said before she began to play her gutar.
The area betwix the two of them seemed to morph into a vally filled with pink cotten candy mist. The scent of honey and flowers antaganized the mind.
Atleast the other's won't get hurt. I just hope they don't know how to break this jitsu... Tiffany thought to herself before she turned back to Conen.
((Just to let you know, my character is an S-Rank. So you cannot be able to defeat them easily.))

"My, you're quite lucky you didn't completely dissolve the scroll as well. Of course you'll soon learn luck won't get you far in this world." Shaking his head he directed the clones to once more scatter. Slyrin then jumped up into a tree and seached from the branches. He then pointed down to the ground and said "There's one!" and jumped down near it. As he approached it he suddenly stopped. The scroll was laying on the ground, around it there were explosive note, and one of the notes was hung on a string just barely above it. He looked at Sayuri and said "This is where luck, won't help. Watch and learn." He sunk into the ground. a moment later a hand appeared from the ground and put its grip around the scroll. It slowly brought itself straight down into the ground, so as not to move any of the explosive notes. In a puff of smoke slyrin was standing next to Sayuri and said "Inner decapitation technique. It does more then leave your opponent nearly buried into the ground. I'd like to see you bash your way through that trap.".

Sayuri realease the water in her bowl so the ground would lose it up."Water Manipulation jutsu "Once lose she was lose she move the water out of the mud and use it as a rope and grab the rope to nearby tree and get out without hitting any of the explosives"Hey!!!lets do it again that was fun!!!!"Sayuri said xd

Not too long after his battle with the Chuunin, he heard a growl. It was low and menacing and came from far below him. Cautiously, he stayed still and peered down into the foliage. There, partially hidden under the leaves and tree branches, was a large saber-toothed cat. It was about the size of a house ((No, this is not from the third movie)) and didn't look too happy. It was colored in silver and black, mixing in with the shadows, making it hard to actually pick it out. But the thing that gave it away was its golden eyes. They were too bright, almost like flashlights. Which meant that something was reflecting off of it. Over to the other side, he saw nothing but a glimmer of a lake. While pondering this, he picked out something that was on the cat's neck. A collar. And on that collar, was a scroll.

Oh goody.

((Let's see. He has three scrolls and this would be his fourth. But, it's supposed to be hard, so it may take me a while to get around to actually doing it. I wonder if he'll even get five scrolls. Darn it! This is too little time on the completely wrong day. I have Finals tomorrow! But I'm not going to let Gaia take over my life, so I'll see how many scrolls he can get for today... Probably only this one.))

How was he supposed to do this? So far, he has three scrolls out of ten scrolls. That was definitely not enough to pass the Chuunin exams. Sure, he had beaten one, but he needed more. Sighing, he knew he had to get this one. Now the question was how? Did he want to get the predator’s attention first? Or did he want to try a different approach. Maybe a surprise attack would work. Smirking to himself, he readied a kunai and some other items that he had bought from the Rain Village. Oh, this would be fun.

One thing was for sure, he wasn’t bored anymore.

He tied a small glass bottle containing some blue liquid to the looped end of the kunai using wire. Then he wrapped the bottle with an explosive note. After this, he jumped down a few branches so that he was a few feet in front of the big cat were he to jump down. Steadying himself, willing his adrenaline to calm down a bit, he jumped toward the neck of the big cat and tossed his weapon in front of it.

As soon as the weapon hit the ground, the glass bottle hit the loop. As soon as the glass bottle hit the loop, the explosive note activated. There was a blinding flash and a near deafening bang, followed by what sounded to be a shattering of glass and ice. ((Imagine those special kunai that those of the Snow used that had those glass things on them. I just added to it.))

Operation Flash, Bang, Shatter: Success!

Jumping down on the roaring and bucking cat, he tried to keep a hold. But the cat retaliated by rolling over so that he would get squashed into the ground. His heart was pumping in his ears, the wind shrieking for him to do something before he died. Thinking quickly, he wrapped some wire around the scroll and jumped off.

Damn! It missed!

He’d have to try again.

The cat looked confused and not that happy. On its face were some shards of glass and ice that pierced it, where blood flowed easily. There were some that were also stuck on its front paws. Though, despite this, Akira didn’t think that it would slow it down too much. The cat looked like it was trying to paw a fly off of its face, looking almost comical that he felt tempted to laugh. Leaping to another branch, he prepared himself again.

He couldn’t use the same tactic. He knew that wouldn’t work. But... If he used some clones and a bit of Body Flicker... Yeah, he’d have to rely on an old trick to do the job. Oh well, at least he knew that the flash, bang, shatter thing worked. Creating some clones, he ordered them silently to surround the cat. The hard part would be tricking it. Animals could smell which one was the real one, but if he used some explosive notes to cover his scent, he may have a chance.

Here we go again...
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 10:40 pm

Now!

There were three explosions all at the same time, causing dust and debris to scatter. Akira moved as fast as he could without hurting the animal. Killing furry animals really wasn’t his thing. Kumiko made sure to that. Somehow, he managed to stay on the head of the cat and cut the collar off of it. Jumping off quickly, he threw a kunai at the animal’s hind quarters, causing it to run off somewhere. Dismissing his clones, he bent down to pick up the scroll.

Nope, that wasn’t easy at all. He had to waste chakra that didn’t need to be wasted, and the cat seemed to be going easy on him. Which meant that if it were actually taking him seriously, he’d probably have been dead by now. Not to mention, without a partner, things just naturally seemed harder. Maybe it was just him... Shrugging his shoulders, he put the scroll away and dashed off.

He was dashing through the forest on the middle branches. Time was running out and it wasn’t in his favor. So far, he only had four out of the ten scrolls that he needed to pass the test. Only one of them were actually easy. The other three were hard.

Oh why, Kami-sama, did you have to have such a twisted sense of humor?

Nearby, he heard a squeak. It was like that of a toy that you’d give to your dog to toss around and chase. Looking down, he finally noticed that he was stepping on a squeak toy. Blushing, he picked it up. It was attached to something: wire. Following the wire with his eyes, he saw a cage. It had a squirrel in it. Or used to. The brown blur was leaping and weaving its way away from him. Dropping the toy, he gave chase.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 10:57 pm

Oh he was tired of chasing now. Every time he got close to it, every time he thought he had it, it just slipped through his fingers like water. It was quick, and it was getting really dull, really fast. Growling as it managed to fake a turn and backtracked by jumping on his head, he gave up trying not to kill it and whipped out a kunai. He intended to hit right above the abominable brown thing of annoyance so that it would get scared and faint. That was the plan, anyway.

With a thunk, the kunai landed in the trunk alright, but it impaled the poor squirrel in the... head, effectively killing it.

Oh s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t, ********! Kumiko’s going to have my hide!

Though you couldn’t see it through his sunshades, you could tell that his eyes were wide by how high his eyebrows were reaching his hairline.

Needless to say, he nearly took off without getting his well-earned scroll.

Score: Forgotten.

Since he was high-tailing it out of there, it was a miracle that he’d notice anything at all. But Kami-sama was smiling upon him, for once, and decided to make something glimmer in the lake. Just enough to make Akira notice.

Damn! Are you trying to make me blind?!

Yes, he noticed it. It was like a laser beam was being pointed at his eyes so that he’d see it. Jumping down from the trees to the edge of the lake, he wondered if scrolls could really shine that much. Shaking his head at the thought, he just blessed his fortune for even recognizing it for what it was. Taking off his bag and some of his clothes, he took a deep breath and dove in.
