"Oh great," Tasuki groaned, "rain! How much longer do I have to hang around this place? Damnit Kouji where are you? Just what's going on here?! Why did those guards chase me? Humph!"

Her eyes grew startled at Nakago's words and she slightly shifted her gaze down towards her plate. Like expected, Nakago had indeed pinpointed the exact thing that were bothering her. He not only took care of her physically but emotionally as well.Yui didn't have much of a chance to let Nakago know that she'll be fine since by the time she was about to open her mouth he was already kneeled down next to her. Even if she did let those words escape her mouth, she knew that he would know better.

Her gaze slowly met his as he reached out and took one of her hands in a comforting way in which she returned back by giving him that soft look of hers and her eyes seemed to be thanking him for his concern.

"Perhaps it would be best for you to tend to our guest before we begin speaking about other matters. After all, there is a saying in my world that it is better to keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Yui lightly suggested, knowing that the more time they gave their guest some alone time the more trouble was likely to stir up.

She had completely lost any small trust that she held for the Byakko seishi and knew she couldn't risk giving the seishi's a second chance since the fate of Kutou rested in her hands.

*He smirked inwardly, though his outward expressions remained unchanged, and his hand still held hers in that same tender fashion.*

"A very interesting proverb...Priestess. Stay here...try to relax and eat something. Very few unfriendlies are capable of breaching the barrier around this room...so you should be safe while I deal with our visitors. Those of the palace will be able to enter and exit like normally...as would you..but it will be safer to be under the protection of the barrier. Even the little accuser of theirs will not be able to torment you for much longer..."

*He was of course assuming..and a touch ahead of himself..he did not yet know what the scholars of the Palace and the texts would reveal about the creature, but it was an overconfidence he could risk. He would pass the library on the way to the room where Subaru would be quartered and see what he could find out then. If that was not enough...he would attempt to get the information from Subaru herself.*

"I will return to your side as soon as I have dealt with her"

*There was a cold tone to his words...In his mind, he was dealing with her..and her..and her...Subaru..the little girl..and the Priestess of Suzaku...His hand finally left hers as he rose to leave, his soldiers stature returning as he stood full height. He turned and walked slowly to the door and it opened before him. It was only a short walk to the library, and then...to Subaru!*

::A slight breeze fluttered in the window that had been left open, clouds could be seen moving in, the weather in Kutou would soon again match the mood.::
//No worries, things should pick up now that Yui managed to get back. ^_^

Both beings glanced towards the window as the weather began to pick up - Subaru had rarely been affected by such things but for Keiko it was an Omen that she was not content to sit by and watch the progress. In fact, the wraith became somewhat agitated and her actions became erratic - she began to tug at Subaru's hair somewhat harsher than previously and the seishi could only grimace.

"Would you desist?!" she snapped in a disgruntled manner, reaching up to pat her hair and the roots of her hair that were beginning to throb with pain, "I don't want an unnecessary headache!"

"High alert? Foreigners? Well that's just great, I bet I stick out like a sore thumb," Tasuki mused to himself. "Oh well, the sooner I can leave the better." He was still curious about the brunette girl though, she didn't look too good but what could he do?

*Nakago decided not to take his time, a full pace walk brought him to the doors of the library and the servant he had sent came running to the front bowing repectfully as Nakago took the materials he brought. He parused the first parchment as he went trying to make a connection between the information it contained and his own experience from before. Tim escaped him as he read, and before he knew it, he was at the end of the hall on which the room containing Subaru lay. The guards stood at full attention as they caught sight of him, and the servant outside waited respectfully. His boots echoed through the halls as he walked towards the room. He tucked the first scroll away and pulled out another one as he stopped in the middle of the hallway, between the door oand the opposite wall...where he waited in silence, taking a quick look at this one before he would enter.*

*Even a sore thumb can be missed by obliviousness, and a pair of guards, laughing and hollering about "the other night" passed just down the way on a cross street missing the strangers completely. The clouds thickened and the beginnings of the rain began over the city*

Both women glanced up at the familiar footsteps, Keiko recognised them as the footsteps she had often intercepted when causing havoc whereas Subaru recognised them for a slightly more daunting reason. Her lips pursed and after a few moments she nodded to indicate her satisfaction in relation to the ribbons within her hair however that was not something she was concerned with - true, her presentation of herself was of import but the next interaction with the seishi that was soon to enter her room was of much more significance.

"Now or never," Keiko purred in her ear and calmly reformed into the small child that had become so familiar to those around the palace. Subaru simply continued to watch the door with an ever intensifying gaze.

*'Interesting...'Nakago thought to himself, reading a few key lines on the scroll. He turned, eyes on the scroll still, the guards in front of the door stiffened as he came closer. Unlike what might be expected of dignitaries or the like, Nakago didn't knock or request to enter, his chi pushed the door open, and his step didn't waver as he entered the room. He did however, begin rolling up the scroll and looked up. Taking everything in, he noted the small creature, of which he was possibly learning more about, the impending rain beginning out the window, and the newly apparelled Subaru. His expression did not waver yet, and he paused, finishing a diamond of Subaru kieko the window and himself, eyes on Subaru.*

"...Such a tactful waste of beauty."

Yui exchanged Nakago with a simply nod as her eyes followed him out the room. It seemed everytime they were about to discuss their plans, someone got in the way but it was better to deal with small problems before they got even bigger. Her gaze than fell upon her plate as she tried her best to eat something but had a very small appetite. She mainly poked at her food as she repeatedly assured herself that there was nothing to worry about because Nakago had never let her down before. He knew what he was doing and she was smarter than Miaka. Why couldn't everyone just stay out of their way and allow her to summon the beast god? She only wanted to do it for the good of Kutou and she highly doubted that Miaka would make any wise wishes. Her face scowled at the thought of her former best friend but it soon grew to that of hurt.

"Never were one to knock were you?" Subaru replied gently as she maintained her stoic expression. He had echoed a line that he had previously said on their first meeting and it simply reminded her of the ever increasing danger she was in yet surprisingly, she wasn't concerned about it.

Rather, after a few moments she did rise to her feet and approached the window where she could find some form of escape in staring out at those below her - she knew nothing of why she was here and nor was she aware of the actions that would come about of her existence in Kutou but she was no doubt find out eventually.

"What exactly do you desire that involved my presence here as being of such import?" She enquired at last, glancing round once more as she pursed her lips, "I was simply pulling a priestess out of trouble, I was hardly causing anymore of a stir than necessary to distract everyone - so what is it you want?"

During these words however, Keiko simply grimaced and waddled her way towards the large folds within Subaru's kimono, ducking beneath one and away from view...

Running, always running. "Why am I always running? Because you're a bandit and always stealing damnit! Oh yeah!" Kouji, a young bandit who had the special talent of being able to hold entire conversations with himself, raced along the streets of Kutou away from an angry merchant. "I can't help that I'm hungry and forgot money!" Kouji grumbled to himself. "It's not that you forgot money Kouji it's that you spent money," he then reminded himself as he continued to run with the bread clutched between his tanned hands.

*Even obliviousness can be beaten with flagrancy, and yet another foreigner, followed by an enraged merchant, would surely draw just the attention all these visitors were wishing to avoid. Not only did this little scene attract some gaurds attention, which left them to close in on the area, but also, the angry merchant had friends, another shop keeper darted out from his shop as they came running up the way, making all the commotion, and attempted to tackle the theif*

*Nakago didn't even crack a smirk this time. He remembered their last meeting, and was going to avoid falling into the same situation again.*

"I have gained the authority and stature that I have, under the circumstances, that formailty can be done away with."

*He now tucked this scroll securely away, and was giving his complete attention to the situation at hand. He walked very slowly towards the two of them as he spoke*

"So very interesting...Sairou is apparently safe from Kutou invasion...and even celestial warriors of the other beast gods, and yet you still insist on meddling in the affairs of the competing factions who have not attained that state...why? Why would you come back and cause more trouble for somone who has nothing to do with you?"

*He chuckled slightly*

"Though I suppose I should thank you...with every action on your behalf, the Lady Yui distrusts all other celestial warriors more and more."

*By this time he was very close, and he addressed the hiding Kieko, glancing down where she had dissapeared into the robes.*

"I will deal with you soon enough little one...there are very few who can perform such feats as you have...and you have become quite a bother."

*Then back to Subaru, and the window*

"You however, make things interesting. And though the Lady Yui would probably not hold it against me if I destroyed you now...Nor would the Kutou Emperor care...You may actually be of more use alive."

"That girl could have been hurt!" Subaru retorted, her eyes narrowing briefly before she tok a step back - she soon found her back against the wall and simply released a sigh, "Believe it or not I would do the same for your seishi if I noticed her in a similar predicament," she continued and released a somewhat heavy sigh, "And yes, I know Sairou is safe...one of the seishi ensured as much but it isn't my fault that I got lost and have to walk around Kutou's borders to get home!"

She took a few breaths and simply glared towards her robes where the peculiar wraith remained hidden. It was the wraiths fault for getting her into this mess so why should she protect her? Then again, if it hadn't been for Miaka she wouldn't have reentered the forbidden city in the first place it just was not her week.

"And some use to you alive?" She narrowed her eyes before shaking her head and giving another sigh, her expression relaxing as she almost took on a persona of defeat, "I fail to see how." She finished darkly and reached down with her left hand to tug her robe up - beneath it, the wraith remained huddled with wide eyes, it knew of what was about to occur.

"Out." She ordered coolly, "It's your fault I'm in this mess...you could have just left me in the caccoon."

"And then you would have died!" The tiny child shrieked in retaliation.

"And I'll die anyway in this God-forsaken place!" Subaru roared in return, "This is enemy territory you sorry excuse for a wraith, did you really expect I would be invited to dinner and handed a boquet of flowers while I was serenaded by welcoming songs?!"

At that, the ghost girl faltered and Subaru raised her eyes heavenwards.

"I guess dying young grants that type of naivity on occasions," She mumbled and turned her back to Nakago, keeping her gaze trained upon the activities outside.

"Ouch!" Kouji wailed as he was tackled by a merchant. "Ah crap!" He spotted the guards. "How am I supposed to get outta this huh? Yeah, not like you're a celestial warrior Kouji!" He tried to escape.
