One of my favorite actors from the B&W period of film is Errol Flynn. whee House on Haunted Hill scared me to death too, still does at times. Vincent Price was a great actor. I don't know why but I love the line where he's aiming the bottle at his wife and says, "It'd make a great headline. Playboy kills wife with champagne cork." xd

Not quite one of the most ethical actors, but still quite lovely too look at in movies. It's been quite a long time since I've really watched B&W movies, and I can't really recall Vincent price, but that line just makes me wanna look at that movie. 4laugh So harsh yet hilarious.

I seen that House on Haunted Hill is on DVD with another movie, one of the double features. I've seen it in the bargain bin at places like Sam Goody's. Great movie. My VHS copy is still good so there's no point in getting the DVD.

Yuppers, I remember hearing something about Errol Flynn being something nasty... I can't remember if he was a womanizer or a drunk. Anyway, I must say he's awesome. I thoroughly love his version of Robin Hood!
Yuka-chan: Vincent Price is best known for his horror movies. Most notably, Dracula, I believe.

Yes, Vicent Price movies are wonderful to watch.
Well, as for the unethical behavior of celebrities, no one is perfect. Although he is very charming on screen. heart Why are there no dashing gentlemen like that to court ladies nowadays? gonk
Yes, I'm just an old-fashioned romantic at heart. *hides*

My VHS copy is still good so there's no point in getting the DVD. Errol Flyn is the actor who's been arrested the most, and with right. He was an alcoholic, I think he raped some girl too, but that could just be a rumor. I don't know all the stuff he did, but it sure was a whole bunch. He has quite a temper.
Ah, thanks for the info, Kitoku-chan and Harls-san. Now I -do- know who he is, thanks to you. And I'm afraid Errol Flyn was both a drunk and a womanizer, Kitoku-chan. Not quite a role-model, still a good actor though.

The last scene with the inventor always sends me to tears.

Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorite movies. [Grin, grin, grin.] Of course, when you have Burton, Elfman, Atwood, Depp, and Price all in one movie, that's just sort of a winning combination. It's so funny and the visual design is some of my favorite in any movie I've seen.
I hate the leading lady, though. She doesn't deserve Edward's love.

Was that Kim Bassinger or Diane Wiest? I tend to get them confused...

Nah, the girl played by Winona Ryder. For the life of me, I can't remember the character's name.
