Aww. I dunno. The Japanese teachers at my school don't speak English. EVER. I think it helps a lot that we only communicate in Japanese.

I dont think that any of my language teachers (with the exception of the Classical Japanese prof) can even speak english marginally. Not that it matters-- none of them need to use it to explain what is going on. Thank god for high listening comprehension, if nothing else. gonk

Kinda surprising, hearing her speak English for the first time.

Edit: Okay, time for other stuff. So, I'm kinda sorta maybe in an unofficial band now. Or something. They got me playing bass because they already have two guitarists, despite the fact that I know absolutely jack about bass. Oh well. Sid Vicious could pull it off, I should be fine, right? I've had multiple assurances that bass is much easier to learn than guitar, so I got that going for me.
The only thing I'm leary about is that the guy writing most of the songs leans torward the emo persuasion, a genre I'm not the greatest fan of. Not that I hate all emo music, I like the rare good stuff like Pinkerton, but most of it is just not that great.
What he's written thus far is not bad at all, though. And I'm kinda glad I'm not on guitar, now, because he's using some seriously ******** up chords. If we ever get our s**t together to the point where we might could record some stuff, I may upload a few songs for you guys so you can say how horrible they are.

I play bass for an imaginary Back Horn cover band. We have Nalfein on vocals and a guitarist who can teach himself drums, but probably won't.
We wanna make a cover video with Nalfein's spastic jumping ala Yamada Masashi and the guitar and drums covering for my utter inability to play bass, except we don't have drums.
And I'm not sure the guitarist knows he's in the band.

The indecisive bastards FINALLY figured out what date we are goign to kyoto/osaka to chill. THANK GOD. Now I just have to figure out how to ration my money to get my concert tix (<3 P'EZ, The Stand Up, etc.) and purchase live goods at the Gelugugu live..... and have enough for Kyoto fun.
Damn. THis si goign to be hard.
