IT WORKED!! After much fuss and general beating of the internets, it WORKED!!!

Angel, Garra, Punky and Me!

Yay Temi! I'm so glad you got it to work! blaugh

It sounds awesome! So pretty. heart heart I'm loving it so far. I'm trying to pick out your voice but I seriously can't tell it blends too nicely. Cant even find my own anymore.

Great so now all that's left is Kia and Pandy. We're almost done!!! *dances around*

It took a lot, believe me, but there it is!

Bizarrely I can still hear my voice, and yours, but everything is starting to blend so nicely now! I'm so excited for it!!

So you found a mic? smile

Lol well you have a good ear then. I think I can pick out Garra's voice but that's it.

I'm excited too!

Yeah, finally found one on my computer and then got it working and had to fiddle with it so much because apparently singing lessons are bad for this sort of thing. At least I know I can project well!!

Lol, not overly, at least I don't think so.

Ooh great. A built in mic?

Oh I didnt know you had taken singing lessons before. lol what happened your singing was to much for the mic?

I'm glad you got it to work though.

ha ok ok! xd

Yeah, I never even knew about it!!

The recording went all squealy and scratchy and odd. I had them years and years ago, didn't keep them up when my singing teacher went to france.

Ha wow. I think our laptop has a built in mic. I've never tested it out though.

Oh I see! They teach things like voice control and singing through your diaphragm , eh?

I'd never tested this one before either! Just glad it worked!!

Yeah, they teach breath control and singing with your diaphragm, one of the most important things is not to let the sound stay in your throat and try to project that way because you damage your vocal chords, you have to lift your soft palette like you're going to be sick and let the sound echo around there. It's hard to explain.

Yea I've never comprehended that singing from your diaphragm stuff anyways. lol . I guess I could get it better if I actually went to voice lessons. I know what you mean though, singing from your throat really takes the wear out of it.

I'm so glad I recorded already though. I can't sing to save my life now. I'm coughing every five seconds and my voice is hoarse with cold. gonk

Lol, it means that rather than filling your lungs so that your chest rises, you fill them so that the lower part of your ribs moves out first, most people don't breathe like that so they only use the top part of their lungs which is why they run out of breath halfway through long notes. It's as much about control as anything. Of course, singing this way (lifting the soft palette and from your diaphragm) means that it's easier to hit the higher notes too, just takes practice.

How are you feeling otherwise?

XD! Oh I can't wait to see it!

If you can't get it mixed in, I could always mix it in with GarageBand for you. Just send me the files and the time you want it mixed in. Of course, it would have to be after the final version is done . . . . .
Actually, no, I don't think it would . . . . . I think I could get it mixed in and people could keep adding voices over that. . . . . . Want me to try it out?
