Darius flenched at her touch and immediately pulled away some. He kept his eyes on the talking wolf mainly. "He's just so big. He looks like something that'd hurt." So that is why treasures are lying around, and a woman can live here secure, she owns a freaking wolf. He made himself relax, even though the mansion started to seem like a bad place to hide out.

"I can when I want to." If his wings had been visible, he would of flared them, but he snorted and let out a mock growl all the same.
"Oh quit it you. Stop being a bully." She studied him for a moment. He looked human enough. No cold skin, no extra appendages like a tail or wings or anything, no aura about him that seemed strange. Figuring it safe she laid a palm to the wound on his leg. "Nife-en-Ankh." She figured a healing spell was fine. If not, well then she would find out the hard way it wasn't now wouldn't she?
((ugh...forgive the pun...ick...I punned myself gonk ))

Darius watched as his wound healed a little, but at the same time another pain shot through him as he stiffened in the chair. His eyes went wide and he shrunk away some more, "Ah! What the hell did you just do? Who are you?" The pain subsided and his wound remained only partially healed.

Phasing himself to the kitchen Khenu ran a hand through messy bed hair and yawned. He felt like crap. Not only had he cried half a dozen times but he hadn't slept well either.
Sighing he opened the fridge and grabbed something random. Presumably something that Saradin had made at one point in time. Lucky for him, it was still good.
Chewing lazily he made his way from the kitchen into the great hall only to see Aura and also someone new. Also a rather unfamiliar wolf. "Aura?"

Aura had pulled her hand back as he had stiffened and shrunk away slightly. "Damn it. I should save myself the trouble and just ask." She shook her head then looked to him again. "I'm sorry, it was just a healing spell...usually causes no problem in humans, but I guess you're not human. As for me, just call me Aura. And believe me, I'm no threat to you." Noise in the kitchen then the calling of her name drew her attention for a moment. "Khenu, nice to see you, you've been so quiet."
"Isn't he always quiet? And hey can I get this spell off? I look like a stray."

Kehnu's blue eyes went wide at the voice and then he laughed. "Eclipse? You look silly." He walked over and gave the wolf a scratch between the ears.
He then wandered over to where Aura and the stranger were. Giving a tug to Aura's wrist he tried to get her attention. "So who's he?"

Darius looked confused, "What do you mean? I'm human." He watched the younger boy called Khenu and Aura, putting on a tough face he tried to gather his ground, "The names Darius small fry, and you Aura, are the one that's not human. Are you sure that spell or whatever has never messed up on humans?"

"Daruis...well Darius, I am human too. No that spell has never back fired. It's holy light based, meaning it only causes pain to those of darkness, evil, and shadows. So..." She left the statement open, sure he knew what she was getting at. It wasn't hard to tell what she was getting at. In mock distraction she looked down to Khenu and ran a hand through his hair. "Did you brush this today?"

Khenu drew back slightly and then frowned at Darius and put on his own tough look. "I'm not a small fry. And you should mind you manners Aura tried to help you."
Feeling next the hand in his hair with the following question his look melted away and he gave her a lopsided grin. "No."

Darius watched the cuteness in the obviously younger boy. They seemed like mother and son, except the fact that Khenu called Aura by her name.
Darius quickly covered up his leg with his muddy coat protectively as he stood up and looked at Khenu, "Well shorty, you weren't here." Then he reflected back to what happened before he left, and as he backed down some he looked to Aura to ask the question that had been burning on his mind, "Can a person become a demon? I mean, hypothetically?"

Khenu frowned again and pouted slightly as his fingers messed with the claw from Bastet that hung around his neck. Darius unnerved him. He had that demeanor that the older boys in his village used to have towards him.
Naturally he shrank back to hide behind Aura slightly. "You shouldn't sit around in wet muddy clothes." His two cents.

Darius looked at himself and realized how dirty he looked, the boy was right about that. Khenu shrunk away a lot, even though Darius was the one in unfamiliar territory. Had he scared him already? His toen softened some as he saw a younger him in Khenu, "Well, I don't own anything else, and now my bloody shirt is well, bloody." But I'm sure there is something expensive enough in this big mansion that I can steal.

Aura let her head slip to the side slightly as she looked back to Darius. "Most certainly. It's entirely possible for one to become a demon. I've seen my share."
"Don't pry Aurahkah..it's none of your business, you've badgered enough people in your life time. If the boy's going dark then best of luck to him." Eclipse padded over and stood all three and a half feet next to Aurahkah and exposed his neck to her. "Take it off."
She sighed and turned her full attention temporarily to Eclipse, removing the collar around his neck while she let her answer to Darius sink in. "Give it a few moments to wear off Eclipse."

Khenu nodded and without being asked he phased away from the two and into one of the rooms on the archaic wing. He went into a random unoccupied room, remembering that there were extra clothes and grabbed a shirt and a pair of jeans that looked like would fit Darius.
Task accomplished he phased back to them still behind Aura slightly as he held out the folded clothes to Darius. "Here."

Aura looked down at Khenu and smiled at his gesture. A little peacemaker. Then again he would be considering how timid he usually was. The quiet ones were either peacemakers or killers.
Eclipse stretched his front legs as if stretching his shoulders and he glowed a soft blue color. His fur grew slightly and then shaded into the familiar midnight blue and ebony feathered wings sprouted from his shoulder blades. He gave them a good flap to stretch them out and then laid down in the floor. "Much better."
