She started feeling warmer afterwards and she burrowed into the blankets and the pillows of the bed. It was much, much warmer than it was in the upper world, but she loved both worlds equally.

Kyo could feel her warming up and he breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly he senced someone behind him and he saw two nurses carrying Kina and Ryo,Kyo smiled broadly and took them both from their arms and cradled them in his arms smileing and doing baby talk to them, he sat bext to Rin on the bed and took one of her hands and put it on Ryo's head, so she could tell they were there,'Someone came to pay us a visit."he said smiling.

The Architect always found out. Not even his own clan members knew the source of his news. Some said that God himself told him in his sleep. Others said that his genius told him. Some say that he knew all along and he was pretending to be stupid. But he didn't care. As long as he found out, he would always revise his battle strategies and change plans. It didn't matter. Things always changed, and he would have to cope with that.

The Architect knew that Arrode and Rayne were together. Both forces were erased, and they were the only two survivors. There was his empty fortress, possibly occupied by the two generals. Something must have happened between them to cause them to want to isolate themselves. Then the light bulb blinked on his head. Love! Why else? Arrode found another person that loved to fight just as much as she did. That explained her feelings towards him and he to hers.

It wasn't wise to send reinforcements. They would cooperate to eliminate them and their attitudes towards war would change. He predicted that they would go into hiding, away from society and its conflicts. But what would happen if the Ico sent more troops? No, the Leader wouldn't. He too was wise like the Architect. The only thing to do was to wait.

The Architect looked at his battle map again and thought to himself, "Patience is a virtue."

Josh snapped to attention, "whatever happens is inevitable". There was nothing he could do and he saw that now, when the opertunity arose he would fight, but there was no point fretting over things beyond his power. The elf took an apple that was on a bowl on the table he was sat at. He took a big bite from it and set it down once again. A somber tone set over his face, he was remembering the elven glades he came from, and his foster family that had cared for him so much, with a small smile he perked up and took another bite from his apple.

((I’m joining in okay. J))

Akuma, one of the troops of Josh’s army, listened to their nervous chatter about whether Ico would strike them any minute or why they had not yet been attacked. As a demon, he wasn’t generally afraid of battle, but the weeks of waiting without word from Ico had left him feeling uneasy. He had only recently joined their cause, but had already run into trouble with a few fellow troops. Despite sharing the same goals, some did not enjoy the idea of fighting along side demons.

The Leader slammed his fist on the table. "He's escaped us! We're stuck in a stalemate! He's the only one who would turn the tide of battle! Where is that Manslayer? That battle took too long! It is unlike of him to do so. Where is he? Oooh crap." He realized that Rayne probably wouldn't come back or he had difficulty. Difficulty in combat. He was right. He couldn't kill the general. Something unusual must have happened. It is unlike him to face obstacles not overcome within thirty minutes. Unless...

The grin on his face grew wider. He struggled to contain a chuckle, which escalated into a frightful cackle. He had plans, and they did work accordingly. A servant came into the room and shivered. He had never seen the Leader with such a mirth. "Sir, you called?" The Leader peered at him. "Yes! Go to the prison and tell them...to launch it." The servant's eyes popped out of his head. He stammered, "But sir! It isn't time yet!" The Leader smiled. "Exactly."

(Flashback)
"Sir?" The timid voice called out to him. The Architect looked up at a student. The classroom was empty, and it was his last class of the day. "Sir?" Her call brought him back to reality. "Yes?" he answered. The Architect calmly strode toward her, passing the warm seats and tables. His architecture class was a success. Many prestigious students visited the renowned architect and bombarded him with questions about his inventions and designs. "Sir, I was wondering what your lastest project was." She blushed furiously. The Architect smiled. "Why I suppose I can tell you. But, if I may ask, why do you wish to know?" The student's face brightened up and she smiled. "Because I want to be just like you sir! I want to design fabulous buildings and be helpful to society!" "My, you are one bright child." The twenty-year-old's face turned red. "Here, come to my desk and I'll show you."

Together, they proceeded toward his massive desk, decorated with pens, pencils, blueprints...it was a mess. The Architect wasn't organized back then, but at least he knew where everything was. He sat down in his solid chair and pulled his drawers out, one by one. In his top drawer were more writing utensils than he would ever need in his lifetime. The student's eyes bulged from her head. He pushed it back and brought forth the second drawer, revealing all the paper he would ever need in a lifetime. The student blinked repeatedly. He closed that one and opened the third drawer. Drawings and sketches, rolled up into scrolls neatly lined the area. He pushed that one back. The last and bottom drawer he pulled out to reveal a single sheet of paper. He gently plucked it out and, pushing the junk that littered his desk around, placed it on his desk. He took the white band off and laid it near his drawers. "Sir, why do you have a white band?" He smiled and took off his glasses and laid them next to the band. "They were a gift from a friend. He muttered something about luck. But I never wore it. So I used it to wrap the paper together. I needed it anyway. That's what bands should be used for." He unrolled the paper to reveal the blueprint. "Wow! What is that?" her eyes lit up. "I've never seen anything like it!" "Of course, that's because I haven't told anyone." He winked. "But promise that you won't tell anyone, okay?" She nodded.

Sighing, she said "Sir, may I leave?" The Architect laughed. "You don't need my permission to leave class after it's over!" She blushed again. "Thank you sir, it was a pleasure to see your project! I won't tell anyone about it! Bye!" He waved back at her. He watched her skip off and close the door behind her. It slammed shut, echoing off the walls. He let out a sigh and looked at the blueprint. At the top was the title "Salvatio." It depicted a picture of a simple humanoid. It looked sort of grotesque with his ugly head and giant arms and legs, but to him it was a beauty. "Someday you'll save us all," he said aloud. He eyed the masterpiece again. The Architect paused. He reached out with his right hand to grab a pencil. He wrote at the corner, "Size not to scale. Think big." Smiling, he cleaned up his desk and put away the blueprint.

(/Flashback)

The earth trembled. Cries of disbelief swept through the crowd. "Release...it?" "Yes!" cried the Foreman, who was just as surprised as the rest of them. "Let it go!" The huge man cracked his knuckles. This is it. This is the end. The Leader has gone nuts. I've got to get out of here! The Foreman ordered the wizards and blacksmiths, "Open the gates! Run! Save yourselves before he gets you!" The slaves tugged at the chains, raising the gate inch by inch. The Foreman stood close to the gates, commanding them. Just then a mighty roar bounced off the walls. A tremor caused the men to lose their footing. The chain they were pulling slipped from their grip. It snaked its way backwards, allowing the gate to race back down. They cried in despair. They worked so hard to bring it up and have it ruined. The Foreman smoothly barrel rolled underneath as the iron slammed down behind him. He quickly took to his heels, ditching the angry slaves.

Everyone knew that whatever went into the prison never escaped it. What a load of crap, thought the Foreman. Deus ex machina would soon break free from the energy field -- the strongest magical barrier known -- and rampage towards the surface, aiming for revenge to whomever imprisoned it. Boy, is the Leader ever going to get it! What a f*****g retard! I'm going to kill him! His footsteps raced across the cold stone floor, dragging themselves through the maze of hallways and jail cells that he knew by heart. Angry inmates rushed to the fronts of their cells and shook the bars in protest of their innocence. "Let me go!" "I swear, I didn't do anything!" "Why won't you let me free?" "Some guy framed me!" "Please, let me go!" The Foreman ignored the pleas and flew on. He ran like a wimp for the first time in his life.

He saw the light at the end. He used all his energy and spent it into running. One could see a blur bashing through the invisible barrier at the entrance. Shards of magic littered the ground and evaporated into the air, into the ever flowing universe. The blur sped on toward the towering fortress ahead.

Sitting in his tower far away from the Ico's civil disputes, a figure remained in his castle, guarded by legions of the undead. There were bases on nearby islands, that were under his complete control now. A dead body lay nearby, completely drained of his blood. The figure was cloaked, for he hated sunlight, and detested the creature's which lived under the sun's reign. Those creatures were mere cattle, given some care, but not a great deal. However it was the humans, to which the figure had no wish of being associated with, that he relied on for substanance, or at least easy substanance.

The castle was surrounded by dark clouds, while the rest of the outlying country was sunny and bright.

Zersilo smiled at his brother's powers, although they were still weakened during the day, the cloud cover which followed the two of them, made the day feel a little more tolerable, instead of being an annoyance. It also provided a sense of foreboding and fear, which as Zersilo constantly said, pyschology was half the battle. Of course, the conquest of this land would be difficult, but not impossible. Taking a drink out of a golden goblet, he finished off his victim's blood, wiping off the blood on his mouth with a hankerchief.

Although she was still in her coma like sleep, she could hear Kyo and new that their son and daughter were there as well. As much as she wanted to awake, she couldnt and remained asleep until she was able to awaken again.

Kyo played with the children long intot he night before they fell asleep on his chest, he softly got up and put the in the crib, before climbing back into bed with Rin. He didnt sleep for some time, but presently he did fall into sleep. When he awoke he could see the light fill the room and could tell that it was late in the day, he looked down at Rin and shook her lightly,"Rin...can you hear me...its time to wake up." to emphasise his point he kissed her softly.

She was still bundled up in the covers and as he shook her, she moaned slightly, but didnt open her eyes. Rin had snuggled up to his chest during the night which had helped keep her warm, but her coma like sleep kept her like that and she was too tired to open her eyes.

Kyo heard her moan and he felt her snuggle closer to him, but she did not open her eyes. He put his arm around her, and began to rub her arms and legs to increase circulation. Presently there was a knock on the door, and a doctor came in,"the servants told me lady Rin was unwell. I am here to check up on her."kyo nodded and the doctor began to examine her,"hmmm...it appears that she has contracted a diseas eknown as hypothermia. Proably a response to the conditions you lwere under in that tent. here there is little i can do for her. just make sure she stays awake, and if she must sleep, give her these."he hande dout a bottle of a clear white liquid and a btool of wht looked like brandy,"This may look like brandy. because it is. it will keep her sufficently warm. The liquid is to keep her circulation going. It SHOULD do the trick. Do what you can to make her comfortable, and warm." he walked out and Kyo shook Rin,"Rin...wake up, cmon wake up!"

He shook her a bit harder than usual and her head fell back, causing her to open her eyes. She looked at him warily and stayed bundled up in the covers. Her lips had a bluish tint to them and her skin was still pale, she tried moving closer to him and into his arms, but she wasnt sure if he'd let her right now.

Kyo pulled Rin closer to him picking up the bottle of brandy,"Here drink this..itll...errr...help."He tipped the bottle into Rins mouth slowly so she wouldnt choke. Although shed never been exposed to alchoal this strong before he hoped it wouldnt hurt her too much.

When he poured the brandy in her mouth, the minute she tasted it she choked up. She had never had any form of alcohol before, and by far she didnt like the taste of this. Forcing herself to swallow it, she covered her mouth with her hands and coughed violently, gagging on the taste. However, she drank more as it was continued to be poured down, but she choked up again. In the end, she swallowed it all, but throat burned.

Kyo saw her cough, and suptter as she drank it but drink it she did, and he smiled to himself, as he saw colour return to her face, as it was very flushed. No matter how much she didnt like it, it was helping, next he reached for the other bottle, which was cooler and non alcoholic, and had the consistency of water,"Her you go Rin this will help the burning." he slowly tipped the second bottle into mouth, again so she didnt choke.
