I loved the hell out of that game. I would play it again if I could find it....

Right now I am playing Mercenaries Playground of Destruction. It's fairly fun, in that you have free reighn after the first mission or so, and you can put c-4 on buildings and level them. whee Alot of good old shoot the bad guy mixed with driving, and earning cash various ways. When not trying the cash challenges though, I like walking up to old ladies on the street and subduing them with a headbutt, karate chop and kick to the back , then I apply the handcu...... stare what...huh...what...they may be little old ladies but they are North Korean communist scream ....

Either way, it's worth playing...sucks it has no multi -player though.

I really don't play Fable much anymore. I mean after you beat it, it starts to just be a smash for experience game. I can still unlock some secrets, and the like, but what would I do with them? The main bad guy is dead. I suppose I could just see how many times I could get the little video game wife to be frisky, but.....I'm afraid I am a bad video game husband... whee

I actually attacked the Korean border on Mercenaries...and after 3 times I lived!

Maybe: Red Ninja. Kick a** kills with the Tetsugen, but the damn camera is uncooperative.

Def Jam Fight for NY kicks a**! I did'nt respect the first one as much because I thought the controls were a little poor. Playing this though, damn it makes a** kicking so much fun. The sounds are a thrill, the pain inflicted, just...damn. The story mode is a breeze to get through though even on easy I still lost, and fighter development really effects how you face off with heavy hitters. The pro for that is even without being maxed out you kick a**, the con is, you better play to your fighters strengths by the book or you may kiss canvas. Since I had no intention of upping the difficulty I stayed with the streetfighter style the whole time. You can choose from 5 I think. Streetfighter, Submissions, Wrestleing. Martial Arts, and Kickboxing. The style differences show. Submissions can finish you, though they use a wrestleing based energy rule. (They work faster though.) Still playing a streetfighter, the description for strategy fit...I tended to do really well if I layed the a** whuppin on early and went for the knock out after a severe series of thrashings. The KO system is great. You can wear your opponent down as much as you like but you have to deliver a knock out blow. Either by power shot, weapon, slamming them into something...submission move, etc. It has a red bar for such a thing. Having an empty green bar may make some lesser blows power shots, because I have KO'ed unintentionally....but damn, have to respect a game that lets you make your opponent suffer. twisted

It deserved the 4 out of 5 it got. I use a 10 scale, better breadth I think. I give it a 8 out of 10 purely for the fun factor. 3nodding

Halo 2 vs. Unreal Tournament 2:

Just rented UT2, and it's about as fun as the first one. Not as many cool battle types in my opinion, but the ones they do have are still staples. A death match, Team death match, A game where you plant a radioactive container in a -goal-, and I think there may be one other. The game on normal settings vs the bots it hard as hell. The old one was chaotic and took some time to get used to because of the fast pace, this one is way faster. As you target enemies they leap, bound, and flip like friggin astronauts on the moon to get away from you. Thats really the only thing that bothers me about the game.

The looks are fairly good for the feel of the game, the stages are massive. In fact you have several choices, small medium and large maps are available. I chose the large and it was expansive. I sometimes had to search for a minute of the match to find "bad guys". Now while that could get boring after awhile, there are two ways you are satisfied by wandering. You get to mutilate an opponent in a horrific way, or you get to be mauled by a quicker better weapon wielding opponent. The sheer brutal simplicity of it is a sweet deal. It's raw adrenaline and bloodlust wrapped up into a nice burrito type edible.

So does it beat Halo 2? I recently played a system link game with Halo 2 and it was pretty damn fun. Halo 2 has smooth controls, good animation and pound for pound is a great shooter. It's also more realistic with the weapon effects and movement. The only issue? Halo is only good for multiplayer after a bit. It's that kind of one trick pony. Don't get me wrong it's a damn fine pony if you can get online or cajole friends into linked games, but it's not something most gamers can't walk away from. It has it's cult like all games. So head to head does Halo I ask again rhetorically win, hands down?

No, and this is why I have that opinion. Bots. Thats right, I don't need friends or to be online, I have computer generated competition 24/7. These are'nt lame a** tuck tail and take it like a b***h bots either, these bots want me dead as bad as Joe addiction wants to wax my a** on Xbox live. They get that wish too. A lot. So one reason is'nt enough. Ok, how about the fact that I get a sword. Not like a rapier or a galdius. Deadly as they may be , I get something sweeter. I get me a real as s**t knock off wannabe Jedi sword! No s**t, it may not bear the name but if it looks like , tastes like it, and leaves body parts all over creation like it...yeah yeah yeah. A nifty third person camera option lets you wield the weapon with some flair, and even though it's highly dodgeable in most cases; you'll forgive that the first time you run right up in some punks face and jump attack him and spray so much of his body and innards all over you only see a gory mess in the wake. If thats not your style hell from the many kills inflicted on me I note that there is a weapon that simply does a nifty beheading. whee

Better than Halo 2, maybe all in all they are even. Still it's a damn fun ride. Sometimes the controls are a bit off and switching weapons(not the melee weapon thats a one button and your a samurai bad a** thing), gets tedious, still...it's worth it...
