what really got me into j-rock was anime.. i really like the song in the shows and it just hppened to be j-rock lol 3nodding
now i think i listen to j-rock more then i watch anime lol xd

I got into it when a friend from Sweden sent me some swedish stuff by kent and some japanese stuff by rip slyme. (i think he sent me the long version of super shooter, and the video for stepper's delight)
I still like kent, but rip slyme was what impressed me, and I jumped into the pool of J-rock head-first, heh.

I almost caved and bought the Rip Slyme book at BookOff.
They're Orenji Renji-esque in their crazy, except with decent music.

My cousin got me into it. She would listen to it in the car and I'd get it stuck in my head for days. I remember it was one song by Miyavi and "the song where the dude is in the well" that really stuck out to me... (( if you ask i know everything, she will be able to tell you what I mean by "the dude in the well song" xd ))

I wouldn't know....I just dig the sound...XD The swedish friend I mentioned has been my friend since i was 8, heh. I even went and lived with him for a while and learned some swedish.

I first got into Gackt, because I liked that he was a very feminine male. Plus I loved his music.
As I get more into Gackt, I discovered that he was a member of Malice Mizer, and fell in love with them. From there I listened to more Jrock bands etc.
I know Gackt is not Jrock, so save yourself from jumping down my throat about it. The point is, I heard of him and then got into Malice Mizer which is Jrock. o.O;

My story of how I got into Jrock is really bad. XD
There was some girl in my class who liked Malice Mizer, and this provoked me to download Jrock, since I uh, liked her. XD
Anyway, I downloaded X Japan out of complete curiousity and I feel in love with their music. They're still one of my favorite bands (this was like 5-6 years ago), but I discovered new bands along the way. And yeah. ^^;

I always used to like "anime theme songs". I never really knew what J-rock or J-pop was, nor did I know the names of any artists or songs. I just had the theme songs of the anime I liked. Well when Kingdom Hearts came out, I downloaded Utada Hikaru's "Simple and Clean"(Hikari) because I liked the song so much. Then I wanted to here more of her songs, and I quickly discovered more music and bands.
