DAY 3: FAVORITE FILM SCENE

I can't completely pinpoint why, but this scene just made me really happy for some reason and was the first one that popped into my head when I read the question.

Dreamland I & II:
Alright, these episodes are fun - a lot of fun actually - but they are not that great when I step back and look at the explanation/plot given for the body swapping. A rip in the space time continuum as made by a experimental plane? OKAAAAAAAAAY. Whatever. I choose to just go with it though; for the sake of the fun.
What amuses me THE MOST out of all the amusing bits contained in this two parter is the following:

I just crack up at that every time. What is wrong with me!?

The Ghosts Who Stole Christmas:
I WROTE KIND OF A LOT ABOUT THIS EPISODE AND THEN MY SHITTY INTERNET ATE IT AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE TYPING IT OUT AGAIN BUT HERE ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS:
1.) CUUUUUUUUTE 2.) I LOVE THE CLICHE HORROR STORY MESHED WITH SEMI-EVIL-PSYCHIATRIST GHOSTS 3.) MULDER AND SCULLY CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR AT THE END, AFTER THEY HAVE "SHOT" EACH OTHER; YET NEITHER OF THEM IS REALLY THAT ANGRY ABOUT IT. SCULLY IS JUST LIKE "UGH, I DON'T CARE"
I REALLY HATE MY INTERNET. mad

If I hear "Silent Night" one more time I'm gonna take out my gun and shoot somebody. And you had to laugh at Mulder's 'left cheek sneak'.
Since I am reading some fanfic again, is it just me, or does anyone else mentally flinch whenever Mulder and Scully call each other by their first names? It just seems so odd.

I forgot about the left cheek sneak comment, it made me giggle.
AND DUDE, YES. If a fic uses "Dana" and "Fox" too much, I will just flat out stop reading it. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it, but I want to say it makes me feel uncomfortable? I just got done watching "Tithonus" and friggin' Agent Peyton Ritter keeps calling Scully Dana throughout the entire thing and it makes me kind of wince (and totally was used to show his Douchyness).

Terms of Endearment:
This episode frustrates me because it could have been SO GOOD but ends up being just mediocre instead. It could have been Rosemary's Baby terrifying - but went in some strange other direction. Why does this episode take place in well lit places and all the shots direct and head on? Bruce Campbell is a great guest star, the material isn't really lacking, it is almost entirely the execution. FRUSTRATING.
The Rain King:
This is a shitty episode in my opinion. It is highly amusing, and honestly a pretty neat idea, and even has great bits of dialogue and some genuinely funny moments - but it is too much fluff even for me. "Arcadia" is fluffy but still manages to not be this fluffy - I think a part of that is the hoky town members.
Although I totally LOL at Mulder and Scully swaying to the music in the gym and the "Blind leading the blind" comment. And the horribly awkward baton twirling girl at the start of the episode (Scully's face is just like "Oh Christ" and Mulder is so obviously amused).

DAY 6: MOST HEARTBREAKING SCENE

"Per Manum"
There are a lot of scenes that are heartbreaking, and in different ways, but I decided to pick one that really pulls on my heart strings.
Mulder: Scully? I must have dozed off. I was waiting for you to get back. It didn't take, did it? Scully: I guess it was too much to hope for... I-it was my last chance... Mulder: Never give up on a miracle.

The Magician is starting to do it, though Mulder says "Dana" significantly more than Scully says "Fox" (which has only happened once, I think). THEY HAVE NO FIRST NAMES, THEY ARE LIKE CHER, BUT COOL. It is OK once in a while; if the fic uses it like how they do in the show (sparingly, and for particular situations/feelings) then I'm all good. I read a fic once where they got married and the author wrote them as calling each other "Fox" and "Dana" - just because they were married. Which in my head was INSANELY WEIRD and way OOC. Sorce And the woman drove off in a red sports car, which annoyed me because it was like some sort of stereotype. Yes, that is what bothered me about it too! Sorce I... do not even remember this episode. I mean, I remember the conversation about Mulder donating, but not this. Same episode, just later on in it! xd

DAY 7: HAPPIEST SCENE

Again, there are plenty, but this one is intense warm fuzzies.
Scully: So, uh... I get this message marked 'urgent' on my answering service from one "Fox Mantle", telling me to come down to the park for a very special, very early or very late birthday present. And, Mulder... I don't see any nicely wrapped presents lying around so, what gives? Mulder: You've never hit a baseball, have you, Scully? Scully: No, I guess I have, uh... found more necessary things to do with my time than... slap a piece of horsehide with a stick. Mulder: Get over here, Scully. Scully: This my birthday present, Mulder? You shouldn't have. Mulder: This ain't cheap. I'm paying that kid ten bucks an hour to shag balls. That's not a bad piece of ash, huh? The bat - talking about the bat. Now, don't strangle it. You just want to shake hands with it. 'Hello, Mr Bat. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.' 'Oh, no, no, Miss Scully. The pleasure's all mine.' Okay, now, we want to... we want to go hips before hands, okay? We want to stride forward and turn. That's all we're thinking about. So, we go hips... before hands, all right? Scully: Okay. Mulder: One more time. Hips... before hands, all right? Scully: Yeah. Mulder: What is it? Scully: Hips before hands. Mulder: Right. We're going to wait on the pitch. We're going to keep our eye on the ball. Then, we're just going to make contact. We're not going to think. We're just going to let it fly, Scully, okay? Scully: Mm-hmm. Mulder: Ready? Scully: I'm in the middle! Mulder: All right, fire away, Poorboy. Ooh! That's good. All right, what you may find is you concentrate on hitting that little ball... The rest of the world just fades away — all your everyday, nagging concerns. The ticking of your biological clock. How you probably couldn't afford that nice, new suede coat on a G-Woman's salary. How you threw away a promising career in medicine to hunt aliens with a crackpot, albeit brilliant, partner. Getting into the heart of a global conspiracy... Your obscenely overdue triple-X bill. Oh, I... I'm sorry, Scully. Those last two problems are mine, not yours. Scully: Shut up, Mulder. I'm playing baseball.

S.R. 819:
AUG this episode nearly KILLED ME when it first aired. I was like "SKINNER, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" And then, even though he lives, at the end I was still like "SKINNER, NOOOOOOOOOO!" That Rat Boy. He is a rat.
Tithonus:
This is probably on my list of top 20 personal favorite episodes. I genuinely like the story, and in particular I really like the feel and look of the episode. This is a very pretty episode, even in all of its gloom - and I really like getting to compare and contrast the work dynamic of Scully and Mulder to Scully and Ritter. Ritter is a little career climbing self preservationist, which is what Scully could have become if she didn't have the resolve to actually solve crimes and help people (remember way back when with "Tooms"?). I also like the tiny, possible, tie in of what Clyde Bruckman meant when he told her she doesn't die.
