She rolled onto her back, taking the glass of water from her grandfather-in-law and she drank it slowly. When she finished she handed it back to him and pulled Kyo's covers over her small body and snuggled into them, wishing to feel his arms around her.

Instead of Kyos arms she would have felt his grandfathers arms tuck her in and close the tent flaps to give her privacy.

She buried her face into the pillows, pulling the thick, heavy colors over herself, only leaving her head visible. Her tears fell silently as she closed her eyes wishing to be with Kyo.

Rayne got up on his feet and dusted his clothing as dirt and other dusty particles had landed on his fall. He ignored what had just happend and was lost in between a void of hatred and confusion. He felt that too much emotion was within this combat. It was not really a combat, but a battle between emotions There...is no time...to be soft.... It is the weak that will perish....and the strong...to survive.......or is it ?....no I must...concentrate...I must...but...why does she...not kill me... or attack me....WHY.. He thought to himself as half of him wanted to kill her and the other half was trying to find the answer why he is feeling all of her emotion as he have once felt before in the beginning when he snychorized with her. Everytime he felt these strange sensations, Rayne was teared apart by his mentality and his emotion. He showed a calm appearance outside and within himself was like a battle, but he was able to maintain his thinking in combat.

He stood there holding his right arm and healed it with a spell that he have cast right after he stood up. He was able to move his right arm again and was able to feel the muscles that were loosen for him to be flexiable. He was feeling the same things Arrode was feeling, but he didn't strike her when she merely laying down on the floor, yet he glared with a manslayer glare and said in a confused voice " Why do you not attack me tell me... why?" WHY...why doesn't she strike at me....why doesn't she just try to attack me....WHY... He thought to himself as he was regather his thoughts. At last he was not in a confused state anymore and try to figure out why he was feeling a slight sympathy for the being that was in front of her, but it was the mentality that he was given have gotten the best of him and this mentality told him to kill him, yet Rayne was fighting himself mentally. It was the mentality that made Rayne cancel out the sympathy and he was now in a calm state once more.

The hitokiri stood there awaiting for Arrodes answer and was standing there as he saw his last attack had almost split the ear drums of some of the Ico rebels that stood there behind the trees. His gaze still struck fear into their hearts as he was able to sense their emotions. He was still willing to kill Arrode because it was the manslayer's blood that was within him. He knew what swordmanship was and it was to learn how to kill. This teaching was satsu-ryuu ( Killing method) and that was part of the teaching of swordsmanship, but he stood there awaiting for the next move, yet he still felt all his emotions and her emotions swarming within him . He knew that what he felt was exactly how she was feeling and they were all the same.

This is what a combat of the mind felt like and it was hard to battle with emotions, but Rayne tried to keep his mind and his emotions as one, which is to be calm. Even though he was still sensing those emotions as well as his , yet even though he have re-edited his emotions to only form one it still felt like he was being tugged between emotions of his and Arrode. He knew that emotions is weakness in combat and he knew that this would happend when he snychorized with Arrode, but he needed to know when she would attack and that is why he did this.

Kyo flew for what seemd to be miles. Toku remained subdues in the subconscious/ He finally saw it. The camp sprawled out underneath him, and he landed and transformed. He looked around and saw his grandfather. Kyo (in Tokus body ran over) Guards immediatly held him back,"GRANDFATHER!" he turned around and stared at Kyo strnagely,"Grandfather its me Kyo!" he than immediatly understood,"Than..this is the body of...i see..."he stroked his white beard. He than gestured to him,"Tell me than if you are my grandson, what was the name of your fathers least favourite war horse?" Kyo immediatly simled and siad,"Yowayowashii-chikara." Kyos grandfather smiled and beckone dhim to the chapel where Kyos body wtill lay, in state,'We will begin now."the preist began the chant and Kyo felt as if he were floating up out of Toku's body, which fell to the floor. He that felt as if he were...the best way to explin it is that it felt as if he wer eutting on his own suit. He opened his eyes and sat up on the table and smiled,"Thats more like it,"than he asked the question that had been on his mind for some time,'Gradfather where is RIn?" koy s grnadfatehr smiled and hugged him,"She is in your tent crying over you.maybe yo0u should go tlak to her." Kyo ran out of the chapel and to his tent. He pulled back the tent flap and walked in. HE gently shook rin,"Rin wake up."

Kyo smield in spite of himself,"IM dead am I wow, news to me." he shook her again,"RIn i think maybe you should open your eyes." he lay down in beside her and put his arm around her hugging er tightly.

"Hello." he said smiling at her,"SO...umm...how are you..."he almost laughed at the expression on his face. When she touched his face she held her hands there to prove he was truely alive and he smield even wider and nodded.
