Backing away from her kidnapper, she sat down, using her mind to change her kimono to the one she had worn in the Netherworld in autumn colors. Clearing her thoughts completely, trying to calm herself down ever though she was still crying, she connected with Kyo telepathically. 'K...Kyo....c...can you hear me?"

"Kyo...Kyo please, dont come after me...he's been hired to kill you....the reason he kidnapped me was to lure you so he could kill you. Please just leave me here...I cant let you die...." Her voice pleaded with him and she was able to make where she was visible, her cries could be heard as well.

Seeing the needle land at her feet startled her, but she kept her mind locked with Kyo, making sure she got the message across the this man was trying to kill him. She did not lose concentration and kept it locked on.

((I'm not even sure if Arrode has a heartbeat herself, being composed of electrons and photons lol whatever))

She knew that he would be her perfect dueling partner when she sensed the heartbeat rate slow down. He was able to control his body at will, unlike the other soldiers who scream and run in panic. He was the master and he knew every detail around him. Messages passing through various synapses in her body ceased to spark. She couldn't even think about the current weather, what she ate for breakfast, or how old she even was. She didn't need to. All her energy was waiting to be used.

Arrode knew that the first attack determined the entire course of the battle. Then the opponent had three options: counter, block, and dodge. If she spent her energy on a preemptive strike, Rayne was likely to do one of the three; in each case left her in a recovery state. Recovery states, no matter how short, were not all that bad to her...but they were best to be avoided by taking the most efficient form of attack. Whatever the first move was, she'd better start small.

Her Twin Swords of Lightning exploded in a flash of light, as bright as she was. The parade of sparks burst into the air and slowly settled down into the ground before being absorbed by Arrode. She was now - in dueling terms - naked. All skilled swordsmen are able to fight without a sword. She delicately walked toward Rayne, unafraid of the power this individual could potentially release, unafraid of her death, and unafraid of the serene heart that barely made a sound. She liked the sound of his heartbeat; she couldn't explain why. A part of her just...wanted to cradle it within her arms like a child...and the other part of her wanted to tear it in half. Arrode considered Rayne as a worthy rival, but never had she had a feeling like this. The nearly inaudible throbbing of his heart told her that he too had a soft side. She forgot about why she joined the Ico Rebels, why she had to kill him, and why she ever visited Earth in the first place.

She allowed Rayne to sense her innermost feelings of confusion and indescribable yearning and hoped that he too felt the same way. She stopped perambulating and halted three feet away from him: striking range. She heard the heartbeat louder, now that she was closer to him. Even his scent could be detected. The beating of his heart, of everyone elses' hearts, and everything in between washed her in a deep trance of synchronization with the world, nature, and life itself. She loved this feeling; therefore she cherished it and went into her trance at rare occasions. She allowed him to attack first.

"I...I dont know.....in a cave somewhere..." She couldnt look at her kidnapper, fearing he would hurt her only to make Kyo come more quickly. She remained in concentration with Kyo and refused to break it.

((btw, im not sure if you noticed, but im also a illusionist, but your chars dont know that))

Kyo ran gurther into the cave and he sww her sitting ther meditating. kyo lets his sword drop by his side as he knelt in fornt of her,"Rin are you alright, speak to me..!"
