Thinking for a minute she finally said, "Well, see Kepi and Nailah's cat, Rasui, had some alone time....unsupervised, and next thing you know we have kittens." Her ears perked up along with all the kittens' ears.
Calico pounced on the gray one and they rolled around fighting each other until they rolled right into Eclipse. Upon seeing the giant dog looking thing, there pupils went large and they backed off.
The little white ball of fur shrunk back into Khenu's hands, obviously scared again.
Bastet looked to Eclipse, and spoke to the cats. "Do not worry little ones, he is just a big softie, and only plays a cat chaser."

Eclipse cracked open an eye and spied the two kittens in front of him. He snorted at them both and raised his head from the floor. "I knew something was up between those two cats..." One ear dropped. "Ugh, kittens...why kittens? That means I'll be stuck watching them...liek I am everything else here."

"Oh...cool! Kitties! I say it was worth it even though your cats will probably shun you both for each other now...cause we have kittens!" He hugged the kitten that was trying to hide in his arms. "You don't need to be scared. I thought he would eat me too but he prefers people food."

She rolled her eyes, "Oh gee, thanks Khenu. Maybe we will just shun them for there kitties." She turned to Eclipse, "And you Mr. Blah. I end up taking care of them most times. I just dump them on you occasionally. You do know that they WILL get to you right? I need to name them... at least temporarily..."
Calico jumped onto Eclipse at Bastet's reassurances, sat on top of his head and started tugging on his ear.
Gray wrestled his way under Eclipse's left wing and climbed onto Eclipse, snuggling between him and his wing.
Smiling as her predections were already coming true. She looked at the scaredy cat ((literally)). She scratched by his ear. "Why are you so scared?

"This...this is already going south. One that is not a chair nor is that a chew toy. And you, that is not a bed. If I was mean and cruel you would both be on the floor mewing in distress." He snorted again. "I guess they do need names...I can yell at them...Well, lets see this little, ow, one chewing on my ear...it's a spicy little thing isn't it. SO what about Spice?" Eclipse turned his head, kitten and all, to look at the one nestled in his feathers. "And this one..mmm...well he look like a pile of ash..." A chuckle from the wolf was then heard. "I better just stop now..." He then looked over to Khenu. "What about the one you're holding? What's it look like to you?"

Bastet raised an eyebrow at Eclipse. "Really, what is your problem? You are acting pessimistic today." She walked over to him and scratched his spot to make his leg kick up and down. "Come on hawk dog, when I was in cat form, you let me sleep on you. And when you were in miniature form and I was like this, I put you on my head and let you chew on my ear. You are being a hypocrit. Oh and Mr. Hypocrit, that is a pretty good name. What about Ashen for the gray one, it sounds cute but fits your not so wonderful interpretation." Bastet looked to the Khenu, "What do you think?"

Khenu blinked at them both not at all liking the pressure and expectancy that was being imposed upon him. "Um..." He stared at the kitten taking into consideration his markings. "You see this gray right her? It kind of looks like a lightening bolt...why don't you name him Bolt...what do you think?

"I'm not being pessimistic...I'm just brooding thank you very much, and I have all the right in the world to do so too." He looked to see his leg actually kicking. "Hey! Bad leg, stop that!" After commanding his leg to stop it's foolish dog act he let both ears drop this time. and his wings slack. "And it was different, I know you. I have no knowledge of these little fluff balls..." Eclipse licked at his muzzle and let his ears relax back up as he shifted a gaze to Khenu. "Imaginative kid isn't he?"

"That seems like a good name, he seems quite taken with you." She watched Eclipse, "You still have not told me why you are brooding. Do further try to get out of telling me, I do have my ways." She narrowed her eyes in warning.
Bolt looked up at Khenu and sniffed at the claw hanging around his neck. He wrapped his tail around Khenu's wrist and laid relaxed on him.
Spice stopped chewing on Eclipses ear to chase a fly that was buzzing around. In her pursuit of it, she fell off of Eclipses head and tumbled down to land in his feathers. Sitting up the cat sneezed.
Ashen, oblivious to the goings on around him, turned over in his sleep and started pawing lightly at the underside of Eclipses wings.
She grinned at the two dealing with the cats. "It is amazing how something so small and fluffy can melt you guys."

Khenu smiled at Bolt then stood with him still in his hold. "I would stay and play with these guys longer but I need to get back to practicing my swimming." He quite reluctantly relinquished the ball of fur to Bastet, placing it down in her lap.
"Don't worry I'll be back to play with them. Oh and I won't drown either. But if you do hear screaming and splashing you might want to come check on me. See you guys later!" Turning he jogged his way outside.

Eclipse didn't even offer the boy a goodbye, he was too busy trying to stifle his own laughter. He raised his wing and spread it out to keep the underside of the wing out of the kittens pawing range and merely shifted his other wing so that Spice fell into his fur and was off of his feathers. "No kittens, the wings are not yours to play with." Cocking his head to the side he looked at Bastet. "Aurahkah had me trying to find that portal for a few hours now...not to mention she'll be making me make a trip into town soon...and that's just so much fun."

"Ah, so you have been hunting for something for hours and have not found it. And you must go into town soon. Hm, sounds like you should stay away from Aura for a while. You know if I set you on kitty sitting duties, you can not leave. But you might have to deal lith ruffled feathers." She listened to Bolts light purring and held him securely.
Bolt shifted in her lap then got up and decided to head back to his parents, wanting to be with some more familiar fur-balls.
"And why arn't the wings for them?"

"You kidding? She's just as worn at as me, maybe more so. I may be searching but she had to go off and endure I tirade from Coban about the matter. And I can't get out of the trip either, I can fly. I can get myself out and back within an hour and not get lost. I just don't fancy the idea of having to look like a mangy mixed wolf dog while I'm there...rather degrading if you ask me." He let his wings fold in slightly, though still kept them high enough from an eager kitten's paws. "And because...they're slightly ticklish on the underside.."

Making a mental note about him being ticklish she thought for a moment, "I guess you would have to blend in then wouldn't you. Well, fine if you guys are really so tired then I will go to bed and take the fur balls with me." Spice was instantly plucked from Eclipses back and Ashen was hunted from his wing, until both were nestled in her arms. "But you ahve to admit before I leave, that you think they are cute."

Eclipse stretched his wings once, then folded them in loosely. Then he let out a snort. "Fine...they're cute. Never denied that they were. I can learn to like em...even stand em...but right now, Mr. Hawk Dog Pessimistic Hypocrite would just like to lie here on the floor, not being affectionately mauled by kittens, or you for that matter."
