Because then we would just run around the halls in the house and look into everybody's bedroom.

Well, I think because talking at the top of the stairs is more dangerous than talking at the bottom of it. Mainly because if someone pushes you down the stairs you'll die more than likely unless you're god.

Mainly because if someone pushes you down the stairs you'll die more than likely unless you're god. That's a good way to look at it. What if the bottom is filled with pillows or something, and you won't die?

But wouldn't you rather sit on the pillows than run the risk or being pushed down the stairs, breaking your neck on the steps themself, and then landing on the pillows and bleeding all over the fluffiness?
