Wolfkit looked at Tawny. "Hello. Earth to Tawny. Hey. I was going to ask you to come play with me. Tawny?" Wolfkit mewed.

Silverhawk walked away from Sparrowfeather and out of camp. She was going to go and patroll the boarders and bring back some fresh kill since she was fully rested.

"Hmmm. Hey, what about cat and mouse. I'll be the mouse first. You get to cover your eyes and count to 20. Bet you can't find me." Wolfkit mewed as he started off.

Wolfkit tried to stay queit as he was hiding in the brambles of the camp entrance, but he saw something that scared him. A set of evil yellow eyes from the side of the clearing that Tawny was coming from. He looked around to see if any of the warriors were out. None were. "Tawny, behind you!" Wolfkit screeched.

Wolfkit snarled in anger. He jumped on the cats back only to be flung against a stump. He leaped to his feet and charged the cat, then trew himself at its feet and knocked it down. The cat then slashed at Wolf, making a cut down his side. Wolfkit yowled in pain and anger. If this cat hurt Tawny he would never forgive it.

"Tawny!" Wolfkit yowled. He rushed at the cat, sidestepping its attack and tearing a gash in its side and shoulder that was deep. The cat staggered. Wolfkit pounced on it and bit it hard on the shoulder. It shook him off and he landed next to Tawny. He looked up as it came closer. He snarled and bit its paw as it tried to kill Tawny. Wolfkit held on with all his might. He noticed an oppertunity and took it. He leaped off the cat and into the air. Wolf came crashing down on its back and started scrabbling his hind claws against it. The cat spun around and rolled over, knocking the breath out of Wolf. He leaped back to his feet and hissed at the cat. The cat snarled, "Why do you fight kit? Only because you cannot win? Humph you are not as tough to exterminate as I thought." The cat leaped and him and bit down on his shoulder and tore at his back with its long claws. He screamed in pain.

Wolfkit staggered to his feet and charged the cat. It spun around and hit him hard over the head. He fell then got back up. He would not let Tawny die. Never in a million years. He yowled and leaped at it scratching and biting like a madcat. The cat slashed him down his right thigh and bit down on his left forepaw. He leaped back, fur matted with blood and dirt. The cat charged Wolf and knocked him to the ground. He struggled to get up but the cat put a paw on his neck. "GO AHEAD KILL ME. I DARE YOU. BUT I WILL HAUNT YOU WHILE I'M IN STARCLAN!!" The cat then froze for a second. "Your Starclan can't help you here kit," it spat.

Wolfkit struggled to stand and collapsed, the breath knocked out of him. He was also weak from loss of blood. He looked at Tawny. "Well, that turned out to be some game didn't it." he tried to joke. He looked at her one more time before passing out.

Silverhawk padded towards the camp entrance. Suddenly she smelled blood and strang cat. She dashed in, dropping the prey she had. She saw Tawny and Wolf in the clearing. "What happened?!" she mrowed when she reached them.

"Attacked by who?" Silverhawk asked.

Wolfkit opened his eyes a crack. "Hi Tawny. Are you alright? I was worried about you while we were fighting. I didn't want anything to happen to you." he mewed. He closed his eyes and said, "Tawny, that was the cat that tried to poison us. It probably thought it had finished the first time with me and didn't expect me to see it catch and kill you like prey. I would never have let that happen."
