"Great! The only thing I've ever worked at home on is potions, and that's because my cousin..." She trailed off, took a deep breath, and started again. "My cousin was really into potions work, and I looked up to him. I was five when I first blew up the living room and turned myself orange for three weeks." She laughed, with a hint of sadness behind it, and held out her palm. "Anyway, Star's already read mine, but do you want to try me out and see what you find? No offense, Star."

Carmen laughed at the image of her being orange, and of a blown up living room. "Sure! palm reading is one of my specialties, next to the crystal ball." she said, not completely relizing her social side had taken over her shyness.

Carmen looked at Arianna's palm an focused in on her Inner Eye.
"you will be badly wounded in potions during the finals, but you will pass; someone close to you will ask you to the next dance, I suppose that means the Halloween dance, butsomthing will go horribly wrong and end up embarassing yourself, but he won't break up with you for a while. that's all I can See in this palm, I can't exactly gaurantee((sp?)) you anything, but I find the majoraty of my predictions come true."

"Wait...won't...b-break up with me...for a...a while?" she shook her head. "No, Sky and I...he wouldn't...the ring..." She continued to mutter to herself for a few minutes, not noticing her arm had not moved from the potition it had been in when Carmen was reading it.

She shook her head to bring herself back to reality and pulled her palm gently away. "It's okay. I just figured it meant my boyfriend, since you were talking about a dance, but like you said, not all the predictions come true. Don't worry about it, I'm not sure I really want to know every detail of my life anyway. Keep things interesting. I like suprises."
