A bright grin made it to her face. "I will consider myself extremely lucky then... I already have five friends. " Anlu slipped her boots back on and stretched her back out a bit, trying to hide the fact that she seriously doubted any man in his right mind would take her... She hoped it didn't show on her face. "Love... is an extremely powerful thing. I'm lucky to have had a friend like a brother to love and return the love..." She saved her self with a soft smile. "I'm gonna get my stuff... I'll be back soon." Waving to Mori, Anlu left the room and headed down the hall, trying not to laugh at what Puck said. Maneuvering around the demon, she smiled. "I doubt Mori would do such a thing to Jon. She'd understand... Not all women are so illogical..." And don't you dare say a word about me being illogical being on my own and stuff. Then she turned to Nemo with a raised eyebrow of slight interest. And you, yes I know you're a mind reader too... Don't bug my babysitter... He's annoying enough. I don't want to get in a pissed off mood just because he is... Then with a smile she went over to the chair where her food had been left and scooped it up in her arms. Looking at Jon, she grinned. "I hope you boys are playing nice..."

Nemo smiled at the girl, "Well see that. No fear, no regret, she just lays it all out on the table Puck. Puts it all as she thinks it is." He laughed slightly, "Keep your eye on her Puck I have a feeling that she is more than capable of outsmarting you." He turned his attention back to the little blind girl, "And yes Anlu your observations are quite correct." He had to admire how well the girl picked up on these things. It was quite impressive, almost as if she were a thief.

Jon nodded agreeing with her statement, "Yeah Puck you forget that Mori is half human. I mean she has to trust me some after all. I mean after a while once I get enough put back me going away shouldn't be a problem, I'll put in for a training job or something so that I can stay close to home. There is so much more to this than you are crediting." Jon at least hoped that Anlu was correct. If not, well it was going to be bad for Jon.

Anlu smiled at him in return. He seemed friendly... and she didn't feel like he was threatening. "Please don't encourage him... I only wish the same tricks would work twice... I doubt I'll be able to cut off my scent again without being tracked even faster this time." She gave a dramatic sigh, smiling right afterwards. She couldn't help but bask in a bit of light, however... Nemo didn't underestimate her... She loved that. "I tend to be more observant than most for particular reasons... but, a good deal of me figuring you out was how load you guys talked... I could hear you all the way down the hall..." She wondered if Nemo would find that odd, or just write it off as him actually being loud.

Nemo laughed broadly, "Well I can be a bit loud." He then moved close and whispered softly in her ear, "And if you ever need to get away from that bag a bones I can give you some stuff that would through hell hounds off your trail for a year. Thief tools and ll you know." He pulled back and smiled at Puck, "You see Puck, 'she's' willing to give a thief a chance. Why aren't you? I mean isn't Jon a good enough at judging character for you. You know I'm the one who made sure he got here for safety's sake. Yeah that's right, if it weren't for good ole me, there would be no wedding to be had. I'm not worried Pucky, I have a tendency of growing on people."

She couldn't help but smile again. "I'll take all you're willing to give." I have more than just him on my tail anyways... She was atleast giving Puck an excuse that truly meant it wasn't just him... Hopefully that might make it better, but she kinda doubted it. The comment on her giving him a chance was funny too... How Nemo had said it anyways. "Puck has a strong code of honor... I don't. Not saying I don't try to be moral and stuff, but when you don't have what you need... you gotta get it by other means... " She scratched her chin lightly with one finger as she said this. "I'm not exactly new to the whole concept of thevery and conning... Of course Puck would know that about me already." After all, you did help me pull one off to get here... "It was a two for the price of one, a bargan. Can't get those anywhere else!" Her soft, and sadly feminine, laughter now filled the room.

Mori smiled slighlty when Anlu left before sitting down with the measurements. The calculations to figure out how much fabric was needed for what piece and where seams needed to be was soothing work, as long as she didn't focus on what the dress was for. Mori was alright with a needle, and tended to reach for it when she was feeling stressed or embarrassed about something. Getting married filled both those requirements. She loved Jon, it's just she never thought she'd ever find someone to be with in this way, and it had her just a little bit frightened. It was all she could do to focus on the tasks at hand rather than on what she was feeling.

Puck rolled his eyes at both Nemo and Anlu. While he was happy they were getting along, he didn't like the idea of her being around the thief king more than necessary. It wasn't his place to butt in, though, so he stayed out of it. It pleased him that Anlu knew about his honor, though he felt like taking a bit out of Nemo for calling him "Pucky," only Jon's request keeping him from doing so. His little bit of telepathy kicked in then, and he tilted his head in the direction of Mori's room. The cycle of self-destruction was going again, a habit of hers he was hoping Jon would break in a year or so. However, for now he knew she really didn't need to be left alone. Quietly, he snuck out the door, walking back down the hall to Mori's room. Once inside, he shifted into his wolf form and padded over to where she was working at her desk. Laying his head in her lap, he sent a mental pulse so she knew who it was. When her hand came down to rest on his head, he sat down on his haunches and let her keep her hand there, a source of silent comfort as they mostly exchanged feelings and vague thoughts, nothing really concrete.

Jon ignored the conversation going on behind him continuing his work. He placed the white metals to the side he would get to that once he got to a forge. He had the jewelers tools every thief had some sort of instruments such as those. He waved Puck off greeting the lessened tension in the room with pleasure. It was apparent that Nemo was not going to make friends so easily. At least he had some sort of level ground with Anlu.

Nemo waved Puck off, "See ya around Pucky, hope that honor thing of yours doesn't come around to bite ya in the a**." Honor had never appealed to Nemo, You could never gain much from it. "So a little half off sale eh. I ran into one of those earlier. I really like this place, easy to lift stuff without a conflict. So what did ya get off of this supposed sale?" He was curious to see what kind of eye this girl had or what kind of thief she was.

Anlu flinched at the name 'Pucky'. It was awful... but funny at the same time. As Puck left, she turned to look at the poisons curiously. She couldn't wait for the lotus to get finished. She wanted some of it so badly. Nemo's questions of her con brought her back to the here and now, however. "Oh, I was hired to bring Puck to the Striders, and I didn't want to pay for his ticked on the boat, so I convinced him to shape shift so I would only have to pay for myself. When I haven't had money on me, however, I just get a walking stick and wrap a bandage around my eyes to pretend I'm seriously blind so I can get free rides on wagon and ships... it's kinda easy, I almost feel bad. I've also done a bit of stealing in the past, but that was only to survive... never got caught either... except for the one I actually stole for some little kid. Got whacked for it too... still have the scars." She jabbed a thumb over her shoulder to her back where three long, thin scars would be, from her left shoulder all the way down to her right hip. She shrugged at this though... she didn't mind them anymore... She did tell herself that she'd never steal again... unless a life depended on it... "I gotta get back to Mori though... so, I'll be back in a bit." She turned to Jon. "After I finish up a bit of business, I was gonna show Mori where that cliff side was for the wedding, and she wants you to join in..." Turning back to Nemo, she smiled. "You're welcome to go as well." Picking up her bags once more, she left the room to the two boy and walked down the hall once more, entering Mori's room. She was surprised and yet not so at the same time to see Puck there. She just walked in and set her food bags on an empty chair. "Sorry for taking so long, Mori... I was having a bit of fun chatting..." She hoped she could get her clean, girly business done with soon... she was itching to see those cliffs again.

Looking up, slightly startled, Mori smiled at Anlu and cut off her psychic link with Puck. "I'll go fetch some water, I'll be right back.," indicating the pitcher and basin set up against one wall, she continued, "There's some water in the pitcher already, if you want to start bathing. The soap is right beside it." Giving Puck a strong look, she stood up and started down the hall. It was a short trip to go outside and draw a small bucket of water. It would be chilled rather than warm, but it was the best Mori could do at the moment. She walked back to her room, relieved that Puck had listened to her silent order and vacated the place. She set the bucket down and smiled at Anlu again. "I'll leave you be to bath. I'll just go downstairs for a little while." Mori left the room so the other girl could have some privacy, going back downstairs and curling up in one of the overstuffed armchairs with a sigh.

Puck rolled his eyes at his aunt's glower. He was too much of a gentleman to stay in the room while Anlu bathed. Instead, he walked outside into the hall and found a bare patch of wall and floor to curl up in, not too far away from Anlu so if trouble came he could help, but close enough he could hear Nemo and Jon if they started talking about something he wanted to know. He barely cracked an eye open when Mori walked past both times. There wasn't much he could do to help her. Her feelings of unease weren't exactly something he could entire understand, much less ease. Only in Jon's presence did those irrational fears ease, and that was the only cure his aunt had at the moment. It was best if he stayed out of it rather than meddling further. He had enough trouble from a certain partly blind girl without trying to involve himself with Mori's emotional trouble.

Anlu smiled and nodded as she waited for Mori to return with more water. She was just glad to finally get a bath. With the door closed, and Mori and Puck gone, the only real noise left would end up coming from Jon's room where Nemo still sat. Quietly she undressed herself and slipped into the basin. She hoped it wasn't too cold, however with that she wasn't so lucky. Shuddering, she took in a deep breath before, dousing herself completely with the cold water. The iciness was just enough motivation to get her to wash up quickly, but thoroughly, before drying off... She hoped once she was dry that she smelled more of mint, one of her favorite scents, more than the dirt that had once covered her. Deciding she shouldn't be too concerned as long as she knew she was clean, she redressed, noticing the tears in her tunic even more now, she got dressed and headed out with still damp hair. She looked around the hall to see the black blob of fur and wondered why he wasn't with Mori. Then she went down the ladder to she her half demon friend. "Ready to see the pretty place I found for your wedding?" Then she addressed Puck. You coming too?

Nemo smiled once he was left alone with Jon, "You know Jon, old ramses wasn't pleased that you had left town. Something I heard about him almost catching you." Nemo looked at Jon for a moment once he was greeted by silence. "You know in all the years that I have known you I have never seen you slip up. You aren't loosing any of your skill, are you?"

Jon turned and looked at Nemo, "I had other things on my mind at the time Nemo. I am not loosing my skill okay. He just got lucky with an arrow." Jon didn't want to think about that moment, luckily at that point in time Mori had been there to save his butt.

Nemo backed off of the subject sensing it was a bit of a sore one, "Jon, you know that she would like to know." So he moved on to another hard subject, Jon's mother. Nemo knew where she was and he had a feeling that Jon did too but he didn't want to force it all at once.

This time Jon shot a glare, "What that her b*****d son is getting married? Please. What in this world or the next makes you think that she gives a rats a**? Was it the childhood abandonment? The whoring herself out to half the town and not once thinking about helping me out with my life? What was it Nemo? Everything I have I have managed to earn on my own, without her help. She can go sleep with the pigs for all I care."

Nemo backed off, "Alright Jon, but you are going to have to talk to her eventually I will see to that." Nemo had processed a serious look towards Jon, "Even if I have to drag you to her by the hairs on the back of your neck."

Mori looked up and nodded. "I'll get Jon," she volunteered, standing up and walking back upstairs. She nodded at Puck as he passed her on his way downstairs, stopping when she reached Jon's door. She only heard the last sentence of Nemo's, but didn't think he was being serious. Knocking at the door frame, she said teasingly in an attempt to be nice, "Nemo, you'd best not hurt my aliluna. Jon, Anlu is ready to take us to the cliffs, if you are ready." The young half-demon was feeling distinctly unsettled, though she was trying to hide it. Just being within a few feet of Jon was helping sooth some of her tension, though.

Puck stretched out before he trotted downstairs not too far after Anlu. Mori passed him on her way to Jon, much to his relief. The human did her good, keeping her from wallowing like she was prone to. Malancholy little thing... Turning his thoughts away from his aunt, Puck smiled a wolf's smile to Anlu as he thought back, Of course. Though I may fly... I'm itching to feel the wind again, salt ladden as it is around here or not... Constantly shifting was one of Puck's bad habits. He was never really comfortable in any shape, so it left him moving to another whenever the itch to change struck him.

Anlu waited patiently for Mori and she looked down at Puck, raising an eyebrow. You shift too much... I don't even know what your real for really is? By the way... I've been wondering... how come you can copy any animal shape flawlessly and yet you don't have an exact human shape? Anly watched him quietly, hoping for an answer that she might understand.

Jon's face changed immediately when Mori entered. "Of course. I'm always ready." He walked to her and wrapped his arm yet again around her waist. He looked back at Nemo, "You can come along to if you wish but we aren't continuing this conversation."

Nemo looked away, it didn't seem right for a son to deny his mother like that but he would get Jon to work on that somehow. A smile came across his face, "I think I will." So he stood and walked not too far behind them not wanting to push Jon again.

Mori smiled and briefly wrapped one of her arms around his neck so she could softly kiss him. She lowered her arm once she stopped tilting up on the balls of her feet like she had to when she kissed Jon. She smiled friendly at Nemo, but looked up in concern at the archer beside her. "What conversation?" she asked innocently...sorta. She had picked up something about a mother from Nemo's thoughts, but it was vague. Were they talking about inviting both their set of parents, at least their mothers? Mori hadn't seen Kalina since she was young, when her powers emerged as violently as they did. She couldn't imagine seeing her now.

Puck gave Anlu a dignified glower. I am a shapeshifting demon. I must shift. And I don't have a real form, I have whatever shape I'm stuck in at the time. I was born in my human form, but my first transformation, before I could control it, had me stuck as a cross between a stag and a lion. There is never perfection. None of my forms are exactly right. And not any form either. Once we reach puberty, our fluid shifting ends and we must decide which shapes we want. I selected the dragon, the hawk, the wolf, the panther, and the human. Others chose differently. Thinking of other demons depressed Puck, and his ears drooped as a physical sign of it.
