Katastrophy Something like that. Although thinking about it..... Just make something up. XD Anyone getting into University level physics is taking an RP too seriously. Physics are still a good thing in roleplays. Otherwise things tend to get stupid.

Some physics, but excessive amounts of calculations is just stupid. xp Not that I couldn't use the practice, but thinking about it, I'm not even sure I know how to go about calculating that.

DragonMan Ren Agreed. I mean, you COULD try to figure out how much chakra moves how much air how fast, but I'd rather roleplay than do math. I'm going with 15 feet. xd Well that is level two of my characters main jutsu... Five more to go. Thank you Fujita scale.

Start inserting fantasy elements, and you have all kinds of freedom. Go nuts. You'd have to determine exactly how much force chakra can exert on the air, find the mass of a unit of air, determine acceleration of a unit of air per unit of chakra. Then you determine how much air you need to accelerate to the speed. It's a pain in the a**. I'd never, ever bother.

It's possible, you just have to jump FAST. Like, 7-8 feet into the air in the second or two it takes to raise the sword over your head.

Nope, if he is already cutting downward then you must assume that the sword is at least over you and you definitely can't assume you're faster than your opponent. Even if you moved before the sword got over you, you couldn't move your entire body weight six feet upward against the pull of gravity faster than someone can only move a few pounds of metal downward.

What system are you using, Kell?
Well, Kell, basically what's being said there is that if someone is RIDICULOUSLY fast, strong, etc., it's feasible that someone could jump like that at the beginning of the stroke and thus avoid the blade. But it just ain't friggin likely. So many better ways to do it.

I was joking. I'm fully aware of the physics required in moving your body that fast in that short of a time frame. And that one I CAN calculate for you, in about 20 seconds.

*comes back with food and migraine medication* OK I feel better..I may need to shoot someone frustrating me right now, but that can wait.
So the discussion at hand is the physics of everything that defies physics? fun.

But it just ain't friggin likely. So many better ways to do it. Like backward, or to the side, or to block it. Hell, between their legs would be better. You mean the system for the wind? The fujita scale used to measure the severity of winds in storms, hurricanes, tornados, etc.

Err... No, Kell, I meant the RP system. You're breaking the jutsu down into levels, so I'm assuming there's a system.
