An arrow flew right past Munalisk's cheek as it penetrated trough an apple. Munalisk was frozen there. Not in fear, but in time. While his body was motionless, his mind and his eyes were well aware of what was happening. He was standing there with apples balanced on his sholders, hands, head, and nose. Next to him was Stardust, stuck into the ground.
Ten feet away stood Vik, loading another arrow into his bow. "You going to give in yet?" He aimed the bow at the apple on his forehead and let it fly. The arrow missed the apple by a few centimeters and landed on the ground. "I'm aiming for the one right between your eyes right now. Last chance."
"Alright, alright!" Munalisk thought spoke, "It's in an icebox in the fridge. Now get me out of here!"
Vik walked over and yanked out Stardust. He twirled it above Munalisk's head, revealing a clock. Vik moved the hands of it around a bit and Munalisk fell out of paralysis.
Munalisk sprang up, rubbing his sore limbs. "Was that really necsesarry?"
"I'd have to admit. It was entertaining. Com'n."
They both walked out of the courtyard and into the kitchen.
"Hey Khenu! 'Sup Eclipes!"
"Howdy!"

Khenu relaxed at the wolf's confirmation on the manner of his attack plans and the fact that he had only bumped him and not something more dangerous.

He cast his attention to Vik and Munalisk as his fingers went to fidgeting with the claw on the string around his neck. "Hi guys."

Khenu then looked to Eclipse again. "What were you saying? It sounded like the stuff that Bastet speaking in sometimes."

"Sorry for interupting you. Do carry on."
He pulled open the fridge and grabbed a small white container. He pulled off the lid and grabbed a something golden out of it.
"Don't ever do this again!" He said, whaking Munalisk across the head with the lid.
"Jeez! Sorry. It was just a joke!"
"Well, I certainly didn't find it amusing." He shoved the object in his pocket and sat down at the table, reaching down to pet Eclipes.

Khenu gave a nervous laugh. Did every talking pet receive a smack from time to time around here? He resumed kicking his feet as he looked inquisitively towards Munalisk but kept his talking towards Eclipse. "So what's it mean?"

((Short post. Mom's getting suspicious. I have to pretend I'm doing homework))
"Wow, lucky us." He said as he sat down next to the table in his gaurdian form.

Eclipse pulled away from Vik's hand and fluffed his wings at Khenu's statement. "I am not a dog technically, and I don't gain weight from food, only from energy. It's a complicated matter...and I don't have a taste for people, that thought needs to be removed from your little head."

"Oh...that makes sense I guess. Okay so now I know that I don't' have to worry about a dragon eating me unless I deck it in the eye with a rock. But then again that would make me pretty mad too..."

Khenu poked a finger to what was written on the dragons wings. "There was stuff like this written in the mines back in my old village."

He gave Munalisk a lopsided grin and a pat on the head before sliding out of his chair. "I'll so see if I have anything with those marking on it. Maybe it's the same thing." He half walked half ran from the kitchen now that his interest was peaked.

"I never had a chance to learn it. We've forgotten how to speak it centuries ago. Most of our kind have forgotten the old ways. We left most of our traditions behind when we left the land and established our territories in the air. Imprinting the oath on our wings is just a custom that we perform in honor of our friendship with humans."
