Okay, so now it's time for me to go an a rant. Depending on how worked up I get, I might swear. You have been warned.
So, i'm at work today, when I get a call from the police department, asking specifically for me. This, of course, was concerning enough within itself. Luckily, they didn't want me for the 15 murders in Iowa it wasn't ABOUT me. It turns out that my BRILLIANT thief of a neighbor and his buddy had decided to rob my house. (In case you all forgot, these are the same neighbors who stole the beads for my sister's wedding and we convicted the one who did it for doing so. I know i've mentioned it here before.) So, I leave work to come home to 3 police cars and an unmarked detective car all outside my house, and a bazillion of my neighbors standing around talking with the officers. I park, and walk up to the throng of officers, and one of them introduces himself, and begins showing me some stuff outside of the house, and asking questions about things such as my broken basement window, which was quite certainly NOT broken before I had left for work that morning. I then go inside with him (Where I proceed to begin swearing a lot more than normal) and start going over all of the stuff that's missing. They ransacked my house, and broke several things. However, there is a lining to the cloud. The cops CAUGHT them in the act. One was running out of the house, and the other was upstairs when they got here. The fools had been taking stuff from my house and putting it in theirs. Therefore, i've recovered almost everything (The only thing unnacounted for so far is a gameboy, which is much better than the original list of 33 Games/DVDs, a Gamecube, PS2, DVD Player, 152 dollars + My dad's quarter collection, and, the kicker: A Magnum. That one really scared the cops until it was found. Between my mattresses. Bastards.) All in all, this might be good. After all, a messy house, and a few broken things are worth landing their sorry asses in jail for a few years.
Anyways, that's how my day has been. How's everyone else?

Asatira Kai: I'd probably do a joint with you on that. Remember, some of those need antidotes! And some of them ARE antidotes. Heheheheheh.... My only interest in this is due to the fact that I'm taking a class on how to poison people. xd Er, I mean, on the history of poisons and toxicology. But sure, teaching joint would be fun! ^_^ ..especially since I dunno how to teach. And Fen: *Hugs* And seeing as how you could still joke about it... *hugs again* heart Kingdom Hearts. heart Kingdom Hearts soundtrack. heart KH II music. OMG PIRATES~ <3 My friend got the import from Japan... and has already beaten the game. I'm sooo jealous! Cinderella wasn't in tune enough with her sixth sense, sadly. But there were talking animals. Gotta have talking animals. Always. Shang! <3 heart Only the more fairy tale stories had inhuman powers. But then again, so did other characters then. Like there was Ursula.. but there was also Triton and his trident. And I mean, they were merpeople to boot. Go tritons. (/ucsd plug) xd And the original versions of fairy tales are fun to read. Especially since they're so not like the disneyfied versions. xd Though I was reading something recently saying that the actual origins of elves were these people who had a disease of some sort. I can't find it now, but I'll find it later. After gorging themselves on a kill, lions sleep for two or three days straight. HOT DAMN. No wonder they sung about lions sleeping in the jungle. Those cats know how to sleep. I found that out because I was looking up the elf thing and stumbled across a few other... things of interest. Like this one little boy who was accidently castrated at 7, so they surgically turned him into a chick. And then when she developed as a very masculine chick and decided that she was going to turn male, they told her/him and it was all "woaaah." Learning is fun!

OMFG. Kingdom Hearts sucked so bad. No offense. I prefer games like Final Fantasy 6 (3 for the SNES), Chrono Trigger, etc. Old fashioned RPG's with their crappy graphics. Okay, okay. Kingdom Hearts didn't suck. I was actually addicted to that game for a long time. Anyways... I still prefer the old school RPG's than the new ones. Because what they lacked in graphics, they made up for in Game Play and Story.

I've come to the realization that a lot of the reason I liked older RPGs was because I wasn't bored of RPGs yet. Every single RPG is the same thing over and over. Borrrrring! I can't stand it anymore, so I don't play them now. Give me action!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OKAMI! ((not belated, I wrote this part at 11:30pm domokun ))
Fen: Aww.. how sucky. Glad you got most everything back though.
Kai and Asa: I approve of your teaching about joints or whatever. Maybe you two can give dean Fen a whole new smoking experience. 4laugh
On Disney: Older movies are the best of them. Never seen sleeping beauty. Love Beauty and the Beast, Alladin, Robin Hood, and Alice in Wonderland. No favorite person. The gypsy in hunchback was allright looking. >_>;; Also, I like Alice's dress. She shoulda been older... (*Yells at the absent cipheralex*I do not have a girl complex! scream ) And there should be Alice dresses on gaia, unless there's something I can make look like it. *goes to see.*
On candy names: 100 Grand >>; *****also: Razzles, twizzlers, whoppers, warheads, atomic fireballs, jolly rancher, goobers, nerds, smarties, gobstoppers, spree, snickers, skittles, dum dums, rolo, milk dud, kit kat, reese's peices, butterfinger, zagnut, good and plenty, mike and ike, peeps, lemonheads, whatchamacallit, pay day, jelly belly, mentos, tic tacs, tootsie roll, lik-m-aid(aka fun dip), jujubes, toblerone, and pez. Candy names are so fun to say heart blaugh
Kai again: Love is the opposite of oxygen. You need oxygen to breath, while love takes your breath away.
While I'm on love (and eg couples): Luna doesn't really think about that kinda thing. She's mostly always been concerned with not going crazy (and later living/supporting herself on her own) to stop to worry about relationships. That combined with a slight subconscious hesitation against nonmagical people (various reasons) and the fact that most non mages have kinda feared her to some level... yeah... pretty much never came up.
.-. I don't know what'll happen now that she's fixed all that. XD but in any case, the possible canidates that she would have been with are no longer part of the rp u.u so sad.
*musing time*
Hmm that's got me thinking about Luna in general... she's the daughter (and youngest child) of a blacksmith and a silversmith/moon mage. From a young age, she was taught how to make crafts, and also how to use moon magic, with an elder brother to help/practice with. .-. So she learned magic well enough and how to use it to support herself with magical items... ao she was never really a student at the tower (just there to learn some control), nor did she wonder what she would do for a job in the future...
She was also taught some blacksmithing and how to fight, though its not like her parents were master warriors or anything, but her mom had travelled a lot and thus had learned how to fight since their powers tend to be indirect, and sometimes direct damage is needed... given this, Luna's fairly strong although she has a habit of avoiding fights... She's like 5'7 or 5'8, so she's... kinda taller and strong. XD she certainly wouldn't ever be a damsel in distress, more a warrior maiden or amazon.
Powers wise, she's kinda odd because normally her powers would be indirect only, but since she's used to making things, she can construct things out of magic which allows her to not just make illusions but actual solid fake things. (that are fragile like glass though)
Personality though... .-. considering things that I've said, I wonder about that myself. I cast any changes on her mind being fluenced by magic, but hmm .-. she used to be a well adjusted, if shy girl. Though with her brothers death, I imagine her having become more introverted, though not hating the other people. More being scared that she'd do the same as her brother *coughcough* Having no one really to stand up for her in the same way as an older brother, she probably became more bold and lost her shyness... She always had that seemingly inborn concept of people bringing misfortune upon themselves (as part of her not taking responsibility for things) so she never hated anyone, not too much at least, though probably became kinda scared that they'd do the same to her when she earned it. She's basically well behaved, nice, and fairly but not overly polite.. that much probably remained. Definately not a hateful person.
hmm... in wandering, she probably became fairly distant from people, trying not to be around the when not buying or selling cause of mild fear of them killing her, and any leftover shyness, and not wanting to mess up their minds. Also having to take care of herself and support herself from her mid teens, presumably she would have become more mature than you'd expect of her, yet... I've felt that she has a kinda carefree (to an extent) kinda attitude, and now that she has nothing to worry about, she's probably not much of a plan ahead type. She can take care of herself .-. but I seriously wonder if she can take care of the tower.
Going back to the love thing, I never contemplated if she had any crushes previously to leaving her home... I assume at least a guy or two liked her and she liked some guys, but between her shyness and her brother's probably overprotectiveness I doubt she had much guy interaction. (That and the fact that she could probably beat up most of the guys in the town. .-. Although she's not particularly that way in my imagination, and really is more of a non confrontational, dress/skirt wearing, more... like feminine type, .-. it's kinda hard to not think of a girl raised as a blacksmith even in part and had some fighting ability wouldn't be semi tomboyish.) Most of her teen life was about not ending up dead/insane, so no time for guys then. She would have feared desperately for them. .-. so I suppose she's completely innocent minded. I assume she's be shyish again if any guy really expressed a like in her, for lack of knowing how to respond to that, if nothing esle. ... .-. just the same, I kinda get the impression that she's sort of flirty at times, but doesn't comprehend that she's actually flirting. XD as far as this subject goes, she's "innocent." On the subject of taking lives however >_>;
As a side note... I doubt she'd make a good mother, but she's only 18 and has time to mature her mind. Maybe teaching will help her learn to be responsible towards others. Speaking of that I assume she's sort of a general not thinking much teen, though she is very intelligent and not absent minded, but a bit daft and sometimes empty headed (not dumb, but as in whoosh, nothing at all going through it, staring into black space kinda zoning out.)
Hmm though not shy, she's probably quite introverted and distant from people, and presumably not too sympathetic of them cause of her "it's your own fault" way of thinking. Given her powers, she's highly emphathetic.. but yeah, as Asa pointed out a while ago, she's probably not symphathetic in the least. sweatdrop .-. so she's not prone to care much about anyone beyond general friendship things.
Hmm apperances too .-. I've never mentioned much of that... her skin is permanently almost pale (by which I mean it's super light even with decent sun exposure, and approaching albino if she stops going into the sun for a period of time.) now though, and the mark on her palm may or may not be permanent. Not short... hmm attractivity.. she's not "stunningly beautiful" or anything, but is hot just the same, depending on your tastes. .-. not particularly large or small busted, right kinda curves... .-. she's not exactly a thin girl, just a slim one. Has some noticible muscle form in her arms in particular, cause of blacksmithery and fighting, but nothing huge. .-. if she was very thin, she'd probably look kinda like a fit, maybe athletic type, but the stuff she does have smooths the muscles out and keeps her from looking like that. In shape basically, just not excessively in shape.
Anyway.. yes guild members, I'm still alive. No I'm not rping tonight.
Away! *whoosh*
Edit: Oh yeah, on rpgs.
Old rpgs: Fun in a retro kinda way that all old games are fun. New rpgs that use squished cute type characters have the same effect on me. All of them are kinda the same though. RANDOM GROUP OF ADVENTURERS SAVE THE WORLD BY FIGHTING RANDOM MONSTERS!
I'll admit I never really payed attention to old rpgs much, other than liking the character art I saw in stuff about them. Unless you count star tropics and shadowrun (genesis) as rpgs. The only rpgish rpg I think I played was super mario rpg I think though.
PSX era rpgs: These are the ones I like best. Technology for great music being one reason. (Not that old game music wasn't good, but rpgs work so well with the kinda music that started with the psx era systems. The vast majoritiy of rpgs I've played are psx ones. Fun innovative things. Persona, grandia, thousand arms, star ocean 2, jade cocoon, some others I forget.
PS2 Rpgs: I've been largely uninterested in them and though they are pretty, they tend to suck pretty hard. I've gone to strategy rpgs mostly.
Strategy rpgs: My favorite genre. Parties with decent amount of members engaging in mini wars. Even if they don't necessarily have the greatest of stories all the time.
MMO: Pointless levelling. While this could be good, people are doing it totally wrong. They need to focus on one of three things(of which there are games like, but everyone should be focused on as opposed to the way they are now): A: Doing a Diablo 2 kinda thing, with just a small group doing a storyline over the net. It'd keep the story part and with a way to make your own stories, make or customize maps and enemies and npc, you could keep things fresh.
B: Doing things more like what we have here but online. Give general ways to build your character(classes and skillsets that you could mix and match), and opportunitities to actually roleplay. Make a character, toss them into a world, and have them interact with others so that they can actually make their own stories, and such. You >could< do this now, but it's suck. This would need more openness, like ability to just steal whatever, take over places, cause massive effects like taking over towns and countries, player run business, economy, societies, and the like. Course, this would probably require more realism and characters to actually die forever when killed... as well as much motivation and control over the virtual world. But at the least, they could have stories that actually progressed and did stuff, and weren't just useless background. In this it'd be more an adventure/action rpg than anything. (Actually if you didn't die as easy, and it was permanent when you did (maybe some extra life system or ressurection system) it could be a good pay scheme. Buy the game, and just pay like $5 per made character. The only time you need to pay again is if you die.)
C: Give everyone a general goal to do. i.e. online pokemon. People would compete to be the best in areas and the world over. They'd raise and train, and hopefully they'd be able to die so that you could keep having to raise more and have something to do besides fight. This could also have people trying to save the world or make a name for themselves in a certain period of character life. This could even just be a constant series of general quests that all adventures did. (Kingdom of Loathing does this incredibly well. Always have something to do.)
Even mixing togetehr might make something good. As it is, it's more like "here's some background, here's some monsters, go forth and kill over and over!"
-_-; even if it was just a pretty world where you just hung out in and just so happened to be able to earn powers it'd be better. Just need more freedom of movement and minigames to entertain. The ability to hold, throw, catch, hit, and kick a ball would do wonders.
On Final fantasy: I don't like them that much. This is not square's strong point. Although I haven't played many (and I don't care to) I'll say this: FF7 is a good game. People have forgotton this. It's not a great game cause I dislike final fantasy's fight system, and this game was a graphic whorebait in it's time, but looks like s**t now. Worse than s**t. ><; so ugly. But it had fun, a semi decent story, and memorable parts, like dropping the plate on the slums below, the motorcycle part, the snowboard part, the Weapons and just the kinda modern to futuristic world in general. FF8... was a fun game. Not was in retrospect, was as in the first part of it. Gunblades, Gardens, Quistis, spider bots, triple triad, futuristic-ness... but then it got shitty with the plot twists and general mehness of the story. The part when Seifer killed the Odin summon in one hit was cool though, but meh to that. I'm not interested in the series anymore cause of that. I still think the suckiness of that went back in time and messed up memories of FF7 for people and made them hate it too. Such is the power of the suckiness of FF8. Screw the older ones too if they have the same general battle system, and they do. So screw em. FFT = Great. Along with Tactics Ogre, made me a fan of strat rpgs more than any other type of rpg.
On (formerly known as) Square: The need to give up on FF series and focus on other stuff. They do everything else SO much better. Horror creep out games: Parasite Eve 1&2; Shooters: Einhander; SRPGS: FFT, Non FF rpgs: Plenty; Fighting games: Tobal #1.
Yah.. >_>; square enix isn't exactly impressing me. They both need to move to other things.
RPGs are allright when I wanna see a pretty world and laugh at funny things and interact with characters that have personalities. I feel they need to just add that stuff to action games and be done with it though.
Edit complete.

I most definitely would have killed them if I had caught them. That's not an exaggeration in any shape, way, or form.
Happy birfday Okami!
And while FF5 was good, unless you've played the others, it might be jumping the gun to claim it's the best. You just can't say until you've done it all. FF6 was my favorite, Tactics being a close, if not equal second. FF4 comes next, followed by 7, then 5, then 9, then 10. Mystic Quest and FFL1 and FFTA hit somewhere next, as does 1 and 2. 8 is dead last. I never played any Gameboy ones beyond FFL1 and Tactics advance, so I can't comment on those. I never played X-2 or XI, either. The other offshoots... Well, tehy're so obscure and far removed that they don't count, even the ones I have played. 3nodding
