You know, I didn't really realize how appropiate my paladin character's names were. At least the two girls, Marie Goodwin and Estella Alasdair
If the name meaning things I looked up are to be trusted, then Goodwin is basically God or good, and win. That would be like victory in God, or champion for good or something to that extent.
Alasdair, then, is a form of Alexander, which the things say means "Helper of mankind" or "defender of men."
