Porcelain Hearts Wise. I used to be an atheist when I was a kid, but I grew out of it. I couldn't deny a spiritual purpose or diety. I try not to dwell on the subject of religion and existence because.. to put it simply, you just can't win. You can't disprove faith with science - it's a belief, not a math formula. Ex.freaking.actly. Amen. That's what puzzles me about the athiest drive to disprove something that's very essence is the absence of proof. Or, on the flip side, of a religious zeal to impose abstract ideologies on government and scientific research. Faith and science can exist in harmony only if it can accepted that nothing is absolute. In a fire? I'd save a pair of underwear, because chances are I'd be needing a fresh pair having awoke to find myself enshrouded by flame.

History proves it. Current events prove it. D: Aw. whee Deimos wears tighty whiteys <33

Am I the only one here that actually handles the join requests? I keep leaving the bad ones hoping someone else will decline them so I can avoid another wave of hatred but it just doesn't happen. Apparently, though, if you leave them long enough, they don't get accepted by default, so I think that's what I'll do from now on.

Usually when I check there aren't any join requests there. If there are, they are typically the ones who recite the rules and I let them join.
They just never post. confused
Leave the bad ones for me if you want. I have no problem taking gripe. Though, turning down literates who just neglect to read the rules can be unfortunate.

Yeah, sometimes I just pretend that people who sound like they'd be a good addition read the rules, even if they haven't indicated as much. I hate turning down people who have otherwise given a good reason in their request. Although I don't mind declining the ones that simply say..."uh, I'm canadian, let me join." Or, something like, "Hey, I AM CANADIAN, and I dont like americans, let me in cause I'm super coooool." yeah, it's been done. I've probably seen 150 requests that simply quote that commercial.

That's a pretty good tactic, I'd say. They sound intelligent enough, they just happened to not read that far down the page xd

Looks like I spoke too soon. xp
I just rejected someone and was promptly addressed with a PM. Frankly, I think it's a little weird they tell the person exactly who rejected them, but that's neither here nor there. She seemed intelligent, but didn't pass the purple-monkey test so.. BZZZZZT!
I told 'em to go back, read the rules, and reapply. So she did, but it says something about having to wait two weeks?
Anyone know anything about that?
