Troy smiled lightly and looked up into the sky. "Well, it's still a bit early and the rain stopped. We could stay out a little longer..." He suggested, looking back at her.

Kari smiled and looked up at the sky along with Troy. "That'd be nice." she said, feeling the tickleing trickle of water run down her leg from the rain that was now at rest.
A gust of wind picked up, and hit Kari's face. She smiled again. This was her favorite weather. Rainy and damp.

He chuckled as the wind blew in his face and sat down on the steps, motioning Kari to join him. "Do you ever stop to think of what would have happened if you had never stolen from this kingdom and gotten caught?" He asked, leaning back slightly. "I guess we would have never met...you, me, Gyras, and Damien, I mean."

Kari almost flinched. THat was the first time in a long time that anyone had mentioned that day. Her past life of stealing had ended all those years ago, and Gyras, Troy, and Damien had been her clostest freinds. Her life was spared thanks to them. "Who knows. Zutakoh and I could be dead right now." She shrugged. "And if we were alive right now, we wouldn't be near as happy, because we would never had met any of you."

Troy smiled lightly. "I suppose that's true...I've never had anyone care about how much Gyras and I drank. It's always great to have you around, you know? I'm glad you're here with us, instead of somewhere else."

Kari laughed lightly and brushed her cerulean-sapphire hair behind her shoulders. "Well someone needs to take care of the two of you." She said with a slight smile.

"Well, then who is there to take care of you?" Troy asked, leaning back on the steps. He wondered himself, what he meant by that question.

Kari's smile turned into a frown. She herself didn't know the answer to that question. "I'm not sure..." She muttered as she looked to the starlit sky, deep in thought. Kari sat down next to him on the steps and sighed. For years, she had been taking care of herself, but at times, Kari wondered how it'd be like to be the one taken care of by another.
