These wings are broken, their feathers striped. Their once warm flesh hath fallen to be feast for the meek, they are now bone.
These wings of lost hope and shattered dreams are none other than my own.
Once a golden reminder of ages passed, they now stand to taunt all with the story of their failure. This failure is mine to bear and only mine.
Time passing by reveals means of repair, but a wing of broken bone cannot bear the weight of new found dreams.
Thus shall I walk my path, ever forced to waltz with disaster, this path is mine and the tracks are new.
When the time on my path has shown a newer form these wings will fill once more with the air they had forgotten. Spread once more into the sky that had rejected them. Without their feathers or their flesh these wings shall carry the true me, the one beyond the mask, unto a new path.

Iron bound and fire gagged.
The dreamer rests in a fruitless grave at the end of a meaningless quest.

Life be now neither friend nor foe.
The lover fell unto an endless slumber at the beginning of a hopeful endeavor

Broken and slit-tongued.
The healer lies forsaken on the path to shadeless love.

Blood-soaked and war-torn.
The fighter is lost to the gruesome fate of all cruel men.

Frozen and reborn, death be now neither salvation nor damnation.
The Mirrored rose to slay those once near.

This is not where I intend to die, but it is not where I may live.
These roads once held for us the innocent play of the child's breath.
The warm glow of a lover's arm.
But now there is blood in these gentle hands. The roads on which we once grew hath slain and in their mutation have grown cold and alienating.
The sparkle is gone from the night sky.
Mother Moon now shines upon another land.
Come.
Come far away with me, my paramour of lonely eyes.
Let your loneliness be forgotten by my warmth and my sorrow by your joy.
Come away with me to a place of our hearts, a place our own.
My moon, forever shall my heart beat for thee, yet I must now ask for your protection. Guide me with your light and protect me with your shroud.
My lover, come with me, by the light of Mother Moon we shall escape our hell and know a world of hope and of joy.
Run.
Run away with me, my maiden broken heart.
Let me heal the deep fractures in your heart.
Let me take from you your sorrow and your woe, let me cast it unto flame to light our way.
Together, lovers by the moon's caress, we will escape.
We no longer belong to this world, so come with me.
Come away, into the light of the moon, into the future, the peace, unto me.

There is nothing I would not do if only requested.
I want to take your hurt and forge it into a ship in which I may sail.
I want to take your sorrow and mold it into a mighty sail which shall tame the wind.
I long to acquire all your words so that it may form into a warm wind which drives the sea.
I wish to claim all your tears so I may fill the sea on which to place my ship.
With my ship of your hurt, my sail of your sorrow, my wind of your words, and my sea of your tears I will sail to you and take you from your misery.
Take you from your hell and carry you into our heaven. This ship shall become ours and in it we will conquer this world of hopeless death and dawn a new day of love.
