Inspiration ::: I have to wonder if I didn't unconsciously take inspiration from Song of Ice and Fire's Jon Snow. The way Adil behaves just reminds me of Jon. When I began work on Adil, I had been almost halfway through the fifth book.
Personality ::: It is not every day that Adil cracks a smile. Less so when he laughs. He comes off as cold as his eyes, as distant as the moon. If asked if this bothers him he would say no. If a family member he likes happened to ask he might be convinced to give a larger reply. That is because Adil is more a closed book than an open one. He picks his friendships like his battles: Carefully. He prefers a close knit group over a large gathering of friends he's unsure would have his back. Once in that group, however, you would find yourself with a very steady and loyal friend. A strict feeling of always doing what he thinks is right fuels his behavior. Some may call it stubborn. Some dedicated. But whatever you do one thing is for sure: If he feels something is right he won't budge. No matter how much someone may complain or try to push him away. Adil always tries to do what he thinks is right no matter the sacrifices to himself or others. Fortunately he tends to have a good head on his shoulders, trying to endanger others as little as possible.
