Az cocked his head, studying the ice user. One of the tendrils on his shadow stretched out to touch Rubilax's shadow experimentally. He didn't sense Rubilax there. He looked back at Tristepin and opened up five more portals, slipping his shadow's tendrils into them as five more tendrils wrapped around the ice user's own shadow, pulling his arm away from Rubilax. The tendrils that went in the other portals each split into six and successfully wrapped themselves around the companions the white-clothed man had mentioned's shadows along with the man's own. The tendrils allowed him access to their body's movements and abilities. He made the females drop to the ground, forced to their knees, he made sure that the armored one wouldn't be able to move, he was wary about that one. The white-clothed one he made pull the sword out of his shadow. The Rubilax the ice user had held shattered with a weak cackle as all the others converged into Tristepin's shadow before the demon wolf stepped out. He also made the man dismiss the scythe and sword before forcing him down to a kneeling position. He felt a strangeness from the man and it took more prodding than he had expected before the man was forced down. The strange wolf was made to sit, where it growled, unable to do much else. As for the ice user, Az added a little pressure to keep him from making another reflective surface and moved him to where the others were, making him kneel like the rest. Four tendrils branched off and went to Yugo and Adamai's shadows. The men were brought to their feet and walked to join Tristepin and Rubilax. Az cocked his head again and made the strange wolf open a viewgate which swallowed up the ones who were kneeling along with the wolf himself. He then got to his paws and calmly walked to join Tristepin, removing the tendrils from Adamai and Yugo.

Reko

Reko pouted and sat down crossing his arms. "what the hell! i had them all right where i wanted them. get me back out there!" He glanced over at Graed and rolled his eyes. "the kid should have gotten out of there before that happened, now because of him i have to set here and miss all the fun out there."

Az cocked his head curiously at Tristepin, tendrils moving to Rubilax's shadow and proceeded to cause the demon wolf to move around like marionette.

"What's your pet going on about?" Renos asked Graed, looking out at the other side of the portal. "We've been here for at most, 15 minutes, there's no way we're arriving there at the deadline in that short amount of time."

"Aarec is not my pet, and time functions differently here depending on his will. A second could be a week, a year could be a mere five minutes, he controls what goes on here," Graed replied, getting his strength back. "Personally, I'm glad we got there this fast, it means any damage done to us has also progressed that much, and I don't want to deal with that b*****d's bruises." He placed a hand on Aarec's head. "I suggest we get out, I'm getting bored and I want to find out who sent that note."
Without a second thought he jumped out of Aarec's viewgate, landing on the ground neatly.













Aarec growled at the companionothers, making it clear he expected them to outleave.
Renos rolled his eyes. "Fine, fine, don't get your fur in a knot," he said, hopping out of the viewgate and landed on the ground, taking a look at the small mountainous area in the wastelands, taking in every possible vantage point, any cover, and identified the top thirty places for an ambush, and another twenty for regular attacks. He didn't plan on letting himself be caught offguard again, especially if the one who left the note was the same person he'd fought in the city.

Graed vanished, reappearing on one of the higher protrusions of the mountain, popping his way around as he scouted the area.
"He's not wearing a hood, but I found someone," he said, popping up behind Reko. "Looks rather bored, like he's been waiting a while, Wolf from the smell of things." He pointed to the top of the mountain, the highest vantage point around and out of view from their current position.

"If the kid's wolf got the destination wrong, blame him, I'm not the one with the demon portal pet," Renos replied to Reko, bored. "But this is the wastelands, and if we aren't in the right spot, it'll be easy to find it from here. Besides, you're more than welcome to head to the south like you wanted at any time. I don't give a damn about your daddy issues, I'm here to find the guy who skipped out on my fight. If I get information on Howitz in the process that's just a bonus."
He glanced at Graed when he returned. "Wolves aren't uncommon around here. Howitz fighting ones are, that's who I'm looking for." Renos looked up the mountain to where Graed was pointing. "If it's him, he'll come down," he said, settling down against a boulder in the shade. "If not, we head out in an hour, simple as that."

"Did I forget to mention the underground monsters? My bad," Renos chuckled, pulling his sword from its holster at his side. He ran forward, swingin his sword around to cleave off the top of its right claw, causing the creature to let out a piercing screech. He slid underneath it, pulling out a knife to cut along its soft underbelly, one of the few things not covered by its thick armored shell, until he'd made his way out to behind it. He jumped aside as a second scorpion burst from the ground, jabbing the knife into its mouth all the way to his wrist, before planting his foot on its lower jaw, grabbed the upper portion and yanked hard, ripping the beast's head in half.

Graed vanished again, reappearing next to Reko on the scorpion's tail. "Didn't you learn not to go wandering around last time?" he said, grabbing the back of the wolf's shirt and vanished, reappearing several feet away with Reko at his side. He let go of him and pulled Victor's old guns from nowhere, firing at the joints in the creature's legs, it's armor was unable to protect those. The scorpion shrieked again and turned to them in anger. Graed grinned, his distraction had worked. One of Aarec's viewgates opened up in front of the stinger, closing on it as the creature charged at Graed. It screeched louder than before, green blood fountained out of the stump where the stiner had once been. He aimed the guns at its mouth, not hard to target since it was open wide, and fired three times. The bullets pierced its skull, cuttin off its screeching as it slammed to the ground, lifeless. "Where was that usefulness of yours moments ago," Graed said to Reko, mockingly.
Renos stabbed his sword through the skull of a third Mundilasion Scorpion that appeared, jerking the blade up to split the top of its skull in a verticle line through the middle.
"For your information," he said, stabbing the stinger of the third scorpion into the eyes of a fourth, "I want to finish my fight since he ran away. Secondly-." He paused, dodging the scorpion's stinger as it lashed out blindly, grabbing it as it went past and pulled as hard as he could, swinging the beast in an arc to slam into the side of the cliff face, crushin it head. "The one I fought was not Reko, so it never counted in the score. Thirdly, he ran off when Bloodlust's blade was at his neck. Fourth, he didn't manage to pull off a single scratch. And lastly," he threw his sword, the blade shootin straight forward towards the boy, burying itself into the skull of a fifth scorpion that had crawled silently down the side of the mountain, trapping its stinger against its head through the blade, which was a few centimeters from Reko's left ear. "Damn Brat was always getting his a** handed to him, and I only lost to him once. Your obsession is just to ask questions, my reason for coming is to finish my fight with the hooded b*****d and figure out what a Howitz wolf is doing here, a far cry from your abandonment issues."

"Just the queen," Renos said, flicking the blood from his blade and sheathed it, silently cursing that he hadn't sensed him earlier. Rathe would have known he was there from the moment they arrived! "And the girl knew the risks when she tagged along. State your business and clear off, I don't have the time or patience to deal with you."
"Boss, I'm getting an off vibe from this guy," Rathe's hand muttered.
Renos looked at the man with disinterest, hiding his own wariness of him.

Graed held his hand out at waist level, grabbing Aarec by the scruff of his neck as the wolf appeared from a view gate, snarling at the man. "Hold," he said, looking at the man.
