Nathan Clarence Garrett slipped the headgear off his round, pink head and scooted away from his computer. He was really nervous, but also -
"I am not afraid of you, Fox."
In truth, he was, but only slightly. Nathan felt more gleeful than scared, however, as he finally had a target that wasn't dead yet. With a glance at the clock, he decided to re-enter the game.
"I won't let someone in my World bully me."
He started up the program again, and, after scrolling through the Board, logged in again. To his surprise, and partial dismay, His favorite Root Town was inaccessible. He grunted uneasily and opted for Dun Loireag instead. It would probably ease his mind to keep on eye on her.
"I'll get you, Fox. Just you wait."
He slipped the headset over his eyes and logged in.

After a long silence (teehee) Sara nodded, and stood up. "Ready?" Picking up both her friend's and her trash, she walked it over to the bin and tossed it in. "Exerunt."
When they both settled in Sara's green 4-Runner, she turned on the radio to her favorite Rock station and started out of the parking lot. "You lead the way... you know where we are going."
Listening to Hana's direction, they headed out.

She lead Maru chan trought town towards Zach's place. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this, you really are a good friend Maru chan. what would I do without ya?" Smiles widely as she giggles. Just being near her old friend was boosting her morale back up. Little did she know of the drama insuing at Zach's.

Traffic was horrid on the way to Hana's friend's apartment, making it take forever to get there.
Finally, the two girls pulled into an aparment complex. Pulling up to the building, Sara put the car into park.
"I dont want to intrude. Why don't you head up and if it is alright, wave me up. Otherwise, don't worry bout it. Here." She handed her friend a peice of paper with her cell on it. "Just in case you don't have it anymore. And even if you do, give it to your friends up there for emergancies."
Sara sat back, waiting for Hana to do her thing.

"thanks for everything Maru, I'll call ya to let ya know if not just meet us online. I have a feeling Zach will be back from his meeting so see ya soon." She hurried up the into the building and up the elevator. Once back in Zachs apartment she noticed Zach in a distraut state and Missy already in. "OKay.... what did I miss and should I bring my friend Maru up. She is the crazy girl you met in the world last, she isn't like that in real life , atleast not that spastic. I'll understand if you don't, I just should call and tell her one thing or the other and then get this show on the road. I can tell things are getting somewhat heated if MIssy in on by herself?" Had her cell phone and Sara's number in hand ready to call with the answer. Itching to get back on the world.

Telmaru's house.A lone police car pulled up on the darkened house. The owner had been failing to make payments on his bills, and thus had a warrent issued on him. Seeing his car was parked outside. The officer merely turned off his car and radioed in that he was going into the place. The door of course was unlocked, so he went in, turning on his flashlight. Almost immediately an odd smell hit him, one he didn't recognize. He shined the flashlight around and called out, "Telmaru Hyran! Come out! I need to speak to you if you are in here!" Of course, he didn't expect an answer and merely continued to look through the house, eventually going upstairs. As he went up, the smell got stronger. It wasn't until he opened up the bedroom door that he was forced to cover his nose, the stench made apparent. He merely took off his radio and transmitted, "Roberts here, we have a 11-46. Unknown cause..." *Later that day on the public forum of "The World"* Dear players, We take a moment today to honor Telmaru Hyran, player Culla, who was found dead in his home today. He was a volunteer administrator for "The World" and will be missed greatly. The cause of death as reported by authorities was a short in his headgear while playing. Apparently he was shocked to death some weeks before. We hope that everyone checks their equipment regularly to keep down such incidents. Once more, we wish to express our saddness at this loss of life. Thank you for your time. "The World Administration." ((Note: Your times don't have to sync up with this.))

Ryan's House
Workshop-
Ryan sat in his chair infront of the many monitors and keybordes he had in his workshop. The Monitors reflected off of his glasses as he rapidly typed. A code was going through the computers, he was racing it trying to decode it befor it got through compleatly. His face wore a very sirious look and his typing was without flaw. all at once this all stoped as he shouted "YA!" he had got the code he wanted.... He got out of his chair and aproched the stairs, on his way up he hit a switch that shut off all the monitors and Computers in the room.....
Upstairs-
he entered the kitchen and made himself a cheese and Ham sandwitch. he turned on the tv in the kitchen and ate his meal. He was watching the News, he was laughing to himself about the head lines of "A hacker unfound" and "Hacker? or Hackers?"

"By they way you aren't talking I'm going to send Maru back home." She called down and told her sorry, she'd try to reach her in the world, then back to Zach. Was about to comfort him some when the computers went off. "what the.... " She went to hers and looked at all the alarms. She then noticed some mail for her. "huh?"
'Congratulations on becoming part of the Quantum Guard. You've been selected for your performance in the world thus far. And as much as I would like to meet you first hand, We have a situation to deal with now. You're first mission as part of this guard is to track the PC Balmung. Once a great Admin to the game now has gone off the deep end. Find and Eliminate him. Last seen in Lamba.

Worst case senerio I log off and start a new charcter ..." She then geared up. Knowing the reaction Zach had to her she was no woman to mess with. Balmung was going to need help.

Hmmm, she sounded worried... I am gonna go home and log on, just in case.
During the drive back to her dorm, Sara's mind wandered, focused and wandered again. Out loud she said, "Damn, I was hoping to meet Mirage. She was nice and more intellegent than the usual."
Finally arriving in her room, she saw a note from Dazey, Hon, I am at the gym and then Cari invited me to spend the weekend at her apt. Call if you need something. -L
Set up, log on, quick check of the boards... Hmm poor NPC... I am gonna go check it out... might be fun to pretend to be a double NPC event...

"No, I haven't had a chance to take you off the roster," Zack said as he got off the couch. "I bearly just got home. But anyway, you can bring your friend here, I'll take you and Missy off the roster while you get her. it woun't be that hard, making you invisible to her radar on the other hand will. The stars need to fall out of sight as well, at least from her."
Zack went over to one of the computers and began to type.

Hana looks to him with a comfort smile. "I already sent her back. If this esclades then she is safer on campus than in the apartment. MIrage is already in Lamba and that is where we left Balmung. According to this welcome note from your favorite women, they will be after him there as well. Hurry with that I'm going to go in and give Missy support." With that she looked back to compy screen and put on her gear. setting course to Lamba.

Rei stood looking at her computer and the accompaning game componets in front of her. She bit her lip and tentively reached over to the visor but withdrew again. She was unsure whether this was what she wanted to do. It had been quite awhile and she was sure the world had since changed. Would the same things still happening? She remembered the last time she had come back after a prolonged absence and was apprehensive.
'You like to play "The World" through, don't you?'
'Yes'
'You like that it's sometimes scary and makes you stay away for awhile...don't you?'
'I suppose'
'Don't you?'
'Yes, I do. I love "The World"'
'Then why don't you? There's no real reason'
She breathed deeply and sat in the chair, flicked a few button and after a hesitant moment, put on the equipment and was rushed into the world.

After all that had happened, Tucker had logged out and logged out his brother Jason. He, as fast as he could, began to haul him out the door as Jason attempted to limp beside him through the pain.....
