Hikaru was deep in thought at the moment. She hadn't even heard Salazar enter and because of this, suddenly hearing his voice caused her to jump up a little. "Jeez! Don't sneak up on me like that!" she said in an agitated tone. She looked up at Salazar from her seat and was about to lecture him, but her face immediately went blank as she looked at him. She quickly stood up and set the book down in the chair. She looked at him for a moment with a strange look on her face. It was a look of confusion, frustration and concern all mixed together. Without thinking, she reached up and rested her palm on one of his cheeks. "Whats wrong with you?' she questioned, confused by his aura.

Salazar was not suprised she could tell he was upset. There was no use in hiding it. He slumped down into the armchair next to her. and sighed. "I went to go see my mother."

Her eyes widened for a moment. Hikaru had assumed before that his mother was dead since he never said anything about her really. Her face softened a little. She went over and sat on the arm of the chair, next to him. "I see..." she said gently as her mind pondered back to the picture she had seen. His mother had looked so beautiful and sweet. This made Hikaru wonder how seeing her could be a bad thing. She peered down to look at Salazar. "Did something happen?" she questioned carefully.

((LOL XD I put the arm of the arm in my last post!))
Hikaru couldn't hide the emotions on her face anymore. "I'm.....I'm so sorry..." she said in almost a whisper. She wanted to say something more, but she had no idea what to say. She reached over and pulled him toward her, gently putting his head on her chest, and wrapped her arms around him loosely. She could at least make him feel better this way. She closed her eyes and let her healing energy radiate from her, creating a soothing feeling for him.

(( Lol watch out for the arm of the arm! rofl )) Salazar began to felt soothed. From the hug more than anything else. He moved back to the chair. "Thank you, I needed that." He said as he took her hand and held it for a short moment. He let out a long breath and said. "I asked her about what she knew of Emilian. She gave me the name of the vampire that was his mother. Her name was Esmeralda." He said with a soft tone. He took a moment to pause and then continued. "I was going to check my father's notes to see her last locations. However I think it would be better for me to relax a little beforehand." He looked at Hikaru and smiled. He was glad to have someone to talk about this with. "Once again, I thank you."

Hikaru's saddened face turned to that of a soft smile. She nodded "Its okay. That's what friends do right?" she giggled a bit at the thought. She then turned her face to look out the window while swaying her feet slightly from her perch. Hikaru watched the leafs of the trees blow back and forth with the soft wind. The sun was starting to set and it cast a pinkish aura over the sky. Watching sunsets sorta reminded her of her ability, except she was seeing the world's aura rather than a single person.
Hikaru pondered on Salazar's words concerning Emilian. She had chased him down before, but he had only slipped from her grip once again. Even though her intentions appeared to be that of hurting him, she actually wanted him to just stop running away from her. She wanted to speak with him directly without Salazar there. Maybe there was something pure in him. Of course, in order to find out if this was true, someone would have to look for it.

Salazar smiled at her and said. "Right." He got up and said to Hikaru. "Well, The only way I'll get anymore information on Esmerelda is if I read my father's diary. Knowing him he probably kept it in the chest in his room, which now is my room. I'm having a bit of trouble with the lock though. Care to come help me?"

Hikaru smirked at him. "Leave the lock to me!" she then whipped out a knife, although this one wasn't like her other ones, it had a much thinner blade. She grinned and started to walk upstairs.

Salazar raised his eyebrow for a second and then ran upstairs with her. His room was plain and simple. A bed, a dresser and a table for things. He had a window on the right of his bed and the door on the left. At the foot of the bed was a large chest that formerly belonged to his father. "Have at!" Salazar said in a loud voice.

Hikaru walked over to the chest and knelt beside it. She looked at the heavy lock that adorned it before running her fingers over it. "Hmm...." she eyed the lock closely and then quickly swiped her finger across it, picking up small specks of dirt in the process. Hikaru examined the dirt between her fingers for a moment and then flicked it away. "no problem." She then took the knife, which was resting between her fingers, and jammed into into the keyhole. She experimented with it for a moment, as clicking noises could be heard. After a few minutes of silence and concentration, she removed the knife from the lock and then, at an outstanding speed, she dragged the blade across the lock, causing it to crack down the middle.
Hikaru smirked at this and turned to Salazar. "With your strength you should be able to pull the lock off now."

Salazar wasted no time in going to the chest and ripping away the lock. He opened the chest and shifted through the contents. Alfonso's diary layed on top of a pile of random stuff. He saved the diary for later and looked through the stuff. In in he found a couple of pictures of a woman. She looked of Romani decent. Much like Emilian. "She must be her." He thought to himself pocketing the picture.

Hikaru watched him rummage through the items in the chest with curiosity. She noticed him take out a small diary and a few pictures. She only saw the pictures for a second before he put them in his pocket, but she noticed they were of a woman. "Can I ask you something?" she questioned as her eyes darted to look at his face. "Even if you found his mother......what would you do?" Her tone was both serious and gentle.

Salazar stopped to ponder on the thought. He really didn't know what he would do. Naturally she would be hostile to him, but perhaps he could learn something from her about Emilian. "I would gather information about my brother. I don't plan on harming her. But that doesn't mean I won't if I have to." He said in almost a whisper. He got up and sat on the bed. "I don't really know what I'll do from there. In all honesty I just want to know the whole story."

Hikaru nodded at this. She didn't want to have to react with violence toward the woman and she really didn't want to see Salazar do it either. "Salazar....." she sighed and closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them once again to speak. "I understand you want speak with her, but you must remember something....things are not always what they seem... okay?" she looked at his face searching for his understanding to her words. "You need to understand the story from all directions in order to gain a true understanding."
