My friend showed me pictures of dir en grey. I thought they looked cool, though my other friends caleld them fags. Then one night i found some mp3s and started listening to them and i thought it was really cool. ^^ that was 3 years ago. 3nodding

I wish I could remember my initial reaction to seeing Deg plastered all over the internet. I remember how I got into the music, but I don't remember the period of time when I'd see Jrock bands on anime fans' sites. I'd love to know what I originally thought when I saw them.

Now that I think about it, I think I saw a deg poster while I was passing through an airport in Hong Kong...but I never saw anything about them when I was visiting Tokyo or Okinawa...I know I saw a Malice Mizer poster in Tokyo, though, along the...um...well, I can't remember what the street is called, but I know I did, because I saw GACKT and immediately pulled the friend I was visiting aside and strangled him until he told me who he was...

Actually I get into practically everything via pictures, band names, and recommendations.
If I'm just looking at random bands myself, and nobody recommended any of them to me, it's the band's look / band name that stands out and makes me want to look them up. If they suck, whatever. But if I like their visual style and they turn out to be good... cool.
