Aeife turned her head to look at him slowly, her blue eyes filled with the fiery orange glow of the fire. She didn't look happy, really, but not unhappy either. A content sort of sadness lingered about her now, though it was anyone's guess what the cause may be. Caliesil or the flowers? Her past or her future?
"Sure."

*breaks what's left in the box and puts it in two tin mugs. sets the mugs down next to the fire to melt*
What's on your mind, Aeife?

((this is getting annoying. demons always pop up where they cannot go. I'm gonna have to make a sig about that or something. read my second last post on page 13 and one of the middle ones on page 12. it basically tells you why demon's can't get withing one kilometer of this house without bursting into flames...sorry))

[[ Hmm, maybe we should make a seperate thread for this sacred tree shelter? That way it might be more obvious that the demons can't enter the barrier... ]]
Aeife rested her elbows on her knees, crossing her arms before her and resting her chin upon them. She gazed into the fire again, losing herself in it's sizzling dance.
"Home..."
It was the first thing that came to her mind as she sat before the warmth of the hearth. She remembered when she was young, how she would sit infront of the fireplace on her grandpa's knee with her grandma nearby, sewing or knitting ot just relaxing. How she missed those times...

"It's where... All my happy memories are... I don't really know if I understand the meaning of the word anymore. I wish the memories had parished in the flames with everyone else; it hurts to much to think about them..."
Aeife spoke indirectly, leaving 'the word' open to interpretation; being either 'happy' or 'home'. When he offered a mint leaf for her chocolate, she reached for one of the mugs that she could only assume was to be used by her. But when she grabbed it, it burned her. It wasn't incredibly hot, but it was warmer than she had expected. She retracted her hand a moment, narrowing her eyes slightly as she winced. However, she reached for it again anyway, now a little more used to the heat, and offered it's mouth to Gordon.
