Well Fauve might have to worry since he seemed intent on making the sorceress from long ago pay for his entrapment. Jessy looks at her throwing her hands in the air. "What do you suppose we should do? We obviously don't have any way to put him back, now do we? I mean the urn was broken into a zillion pieces..."

"Hey, now don't be putting words in my mouth. I never said that I was an expert... I'm an art history major, not an archeologist..or religion-ologist..whatever. And for the record... Just because he's the God of the Dead doesn't make him all that bad. He helped guide the spirits of the dead through the underworld into the Kingdom of Osiris." Arguing of course wouldn't help them figure out how to deal with this situation. "I have no idea how to trap him, but somehow I doubt your water bottle would work. There has to be some sort of magical seal or something...not just a twist top cap."

Anubis laughed. You stupid maiden. Of course there was a reason. You had decided that the spirits did not need guidence, you decided there was no need for me. He put his hand on Fauve's shoulder and pushed her out of the way. He stepped in front of Jessy and brought his mouth next to her ear. Remember, beloved priestess. Anubis brought his hands up and gripped her shoulders.

Jess hadn't heard anything that the other girl was saying. As he places his hands upon Jessy's shoulders the familiar electrical feeling returns. Closing her eyes as the memories come rushing back, almost as if she were watching a movie in her mind.

Ancient Egypt~ Time unknown

Amarna stood outside the main entrance to the temple of Anubis between two stone pylons. A warm breeze blowing the pennants above, adorned with an image of the God of the Dead, as the sun beamed down warming her face. In the distance she could see someone hastily making their way up the path.

No one was allowed to enter unless they were of the priesthood. This stranger was not slowing as they neared, nor were they alone. Stepping inside Amarna hurries through the great court to throw open the doors to the hypostyle hall. She had to tell the others of the upcoming threat and to be prepared to protect the sacred rooms.

Moments later several footsteps thundered across the floor behind Amarna. She turns to stare down the sorceress, who had a look of destruction in her eyes. "Leave! You have no right to be here. This is sacred ground." Standing defensively using her staff she blocks the sorceress's path.

Maniacal laughter echoes off the walls of the hall, "Haahaaa! I'd like to see you try making me. Now out of my way Priestess! You are no match for me. I shall destroy this temple and your beloved God!" The sorceress attacks using a powerful spell.

The High Priestess dodges the first ball of energy easily, then counter-attacks.
"Not if I have anything to say about it. I will do what ever it takes to fulfill my duty and protect this shrine."

"Awe how sweet! Such sentiments coming from you Priestess, too bad it will cost you your life." An evil grin crosses her face as she strikes Amarna down. The Priestess falls to the floor blood dripping from her head where she had been hit. She tries to get up to stop the Sorceress from entering the sacred rooms, but to no avail. One of the Sorceress's men pushes her out of the way causing her to hit the hard stone wall just outside the golden door.

Amarna watches in horror as the Sorceress makes her way to the golden statue of Anubis. Slowly she is able to crawl to the open door. Before her eyes, the God of the Dead was defeated and trapped inside a large urn. Tears stream down her face as she watches the men destroying everything. "Nooooo!" The next thing she knows everything went pitch black...

Jessy gasps as she returns to her surroundings her cheeks wet with her own tears as she stands there in the bookstore. She looks up at Anubis, "I saw everything from that day..."

Anubis let out a breath. Good, her memories had awoken, he thought. Beloved priestess, Anubis bowed, there is a way to see if I am telling the truth. All you must do is hold her shoulders and whisper ''remember'' into her ear.

Anubis' jackle smile spread across his face. That is for me to know, young maiden, and for you to find out.

Anubis nodded. Yes. It is so that the one person who had the clearest grasp of you before you died that can return your memories. That was why I could do it with my beloved priestess. He squinted a bit, looking at the maiden's hands sparking.
