The group of "inn keeper staff" go into the woods behind the inn to the crater that Shep and Scedd created when they first fought Genma. Shep uses his flute to sound the groups battle cry and to call the demons to them.
The battle begins. . .

At first there are only a few demons. Jade picks them off easily using her bow and arrows. However, the tear in the portal became larger after Shep left and so there were more demons that escaped the other realm.
The girls take out their katanas and start fighting.
"Scedd, Shep go and find the master demon Genma!"

Ichigo immediately killed the big ones that came out right away to save the other two from major hassle. She moved with her sword swiftly, as if she were dancing, killing the demons one by one.
"You girls doing okay?" Ichigo jumped back next to the girls. "an easier way to kill them is either their head of their heart."

Misty has only killed in defense or for food. She had never been part of such killing before. The sticky blood everywhere and the smell nauseated her but she kept fighting. Her family katana was dripping with blood. She naturally cut through the path of demons like she practiced so many years ago. Soon there were less and less demons to fight.
"I'm okay."

Jade had a hard time killing the demons. The katana was sharp but she did not have the practice that Ichigo and Misty had in wielding the long sword. There was blood everywhere and it made is slippery to get a footing. "I think I'm ok. This is hard!"
When they were down to the last few demons, the ground began to shake and it started to get dark around them. Jade turns to see a giant demon rising from the center of the crater. It is Genma.
Jade is momentarily frozen in awe as the demon rises out of the crater.

Ichigo stood her ground in front of Misty and Jade. Holding her katana out in front of her. "oh crap...this isn't good." She was obviously a little scared. Their necklaces started to glow brightly.
[Shep, Scedd. Can you hear me?] Ichigo tried contacting the guys, hoping they were close by.

shep jumped out of nowhere suddenly with his axe slicing a huge chunk of flesh from Genma's left arm. "eat this Genma"

Misty started throwing orbs at Genma to absorb his energy and weaken it as the boys battled the beast. "Throw the orbs!"

Jade started lobbing the orbs at the giant demon.
The demon started to loose power with each hit of the orb and blow of the axe and swords.
"It's working! Shep, Scedd keep fighting!"
The glow of the necklaces began to flicker and the glow became less intense.

At that moment, Ichigo's eyes turned blood red. She jumped at Genma attacking with all her might. Little by little he began to weaken. Ichigo had berserk and held nothing back. But still making sure she didn't hurt any of the others.

shep was fighting bitterly with scedd and the girls as genma started to fall and lose power "it's working after all these years... die genma!!!!"

Misty puts her hand in a hidden pocket on her cape. She pulls out a large silvery orb and tosses into the torn riff in the portal. It explodes into what seems like a mini nuclear bomb then implodes upon itself, sealing the portal to make sure no more demons escape. The flash from the explosion momentarily blinds her.
Ichigo and Jade finish off the last of the lesser demons. The creature genma falls. . . Shep and Scedd are standing over the demon for the final blows.
"Is it dead?"
