So... I totally waisted gold on this month's MC. I bought it as a sealed envelope at about 14.5k. Prices dropped to 11k after the items were released. And I didn't even care for the items that much. Darnit. Now I got set back on my quest. Blargh.

So. How many of you who logged on today got tricked by the April Fools joke and how many of you knew it was a joke from the first moment you saw it?
I was one of the "knew it was a joke from the first moment I saw it" people. I remember the joke from April Fools '04 where it was a floating blue box (that was before blue boxes were an actual item) and when you opened it it automatically blew up in your face and wasn't an item you could remove and put back on at will. This year, they went a step further and made you think you had a platinum halo. I pity those who thought they'd actually received a halo. It's been a long running joke at events that a platinum halo was one of the items you could get. Ah. The good old days of Gaia. 3nodding

Raise your hand if you thought the Easter event was dumb. *raises hand*
I feel sorry for any of you who joined Gaia after Easter 2k6. You missed out on all of the cool Easters. Because of all the other little events they had this year (v-day, st. patrick's day, and april fools), they didn't have time to do anything elaborate for Easter. Easter has almost always been one of Gaia's big event holidays. This year, it takes absolutely no effort to get items. Unless you find clicking a floating egg challenging, that is. Not only that, but the items, in my opinion, suck. Oh sure. The first chick was cute. I didn't mind it when I thought there would only be one chick. But no. I open the medium egg and get a slightly bigger chick. I start to get a bit ticked off, but I still have hope for the last egg. Surely they wouldn't give me 3 chickies of varied sizes. I get my last egg, open it and what do I see? A slightly larger chicky. There were theories that this was just the first batch of items and that there would be more to the event. Fleep, a developer for Gaia, confirmed that this is all we were getting for Easter. No cool easter egg hunt, no more items. I was utterly disappointed. I have no reason to get on Gaia for the remainder of the event. I don't need a billion chickies that barely anyone likes. I'm sure I can't jack up the prices on them like I have with other events... confused
Edit: Oh and there were no bunny items this year. *pout*

yeah this event sucks a**, I was expecting something awesome, nut nooo, in my opinion all the events this year have pretty much sucked, valentines day was ok, but there was only the one item, anniversary event pretty well sucked, only fireworks, oh boy, there an ok item but not what I expected, st patricks day event was boring and the items weren't as good as I had hoped, and the easter event just totally sucked a**, I mean all they have are chicks, I wanted at least something bunnyish, the MC's better be pretty good this month to make up for the lack of good event, if the halloween and christmas events suck this much I might just stop getting mc's to show my annoyance, they usually get about 25 to 30 bucks out of me, plus I had thought about getting some gwee stuff or maybe a shirt or something, gaia really needs to get on the ball evil cry crying
