The bard pulled away when Shelden touched his arm, rolling onto his back and opening his eyes. "I'm fine..." he said in a surpriseing calm voice, almost ghostly. His eyes seemed glazed over like he had already died. The color of his skin was paler still but he rose from the floor anyway.

He stared at the stranger, his eyes still glazed over, but it was obvious hate was held within. Slowly anger seemed to seize him, his hands slowly lifting his flute up to his lips. A song memorized began to come forth, suddenly a shrill song flowed though the flute. The volume and pitch seemed to not effect anyone but the mystery person, who the song would affect like needles all over their body.

Envy only smiled, the roots weren't meant for their attacker at all, and he'd only been at the edge. "Presumtuous little thing aren't you?" She muttered. With that said she stood shards of Sora's ice roses evaporating as they flew near her or anyone else. Then she raised her own sword to block the attack that was sent their way.

"What is so important about our friend that you would kill for him I wonder?" She said with something of a growl.

Sora sighed, as he let his hand fall, the roses seemed to explode like thorny vines, the icey thorny ropes snaring the figures chain and ball, the metal chain seeming to shine before snapping, and seeming to crack at the pressure of the ice vines tightening, the sheer temperture alone would make any fire attack fatal to the weapon.

Though at the moment, Sora was left completely defenseless using all of his energy, skill and water to stop the monsterous weapon. His eyes were still a light blue though, his teeth clenched as he gripped his ankle, he wouldn't release the vines untill the battle was over, which meant he was stuck relying on people he hardly knew.

Envy grinned at Sora. "That was good." She said still grinning. With that she looked at the ice covered ball and chain and simply brought out her hand as a spell ran through her mind. With the spells ending she snapped her fingers and a dragon appeared, made from flames. Like the ice it wound it's way around the ball and chain, which forced it all to explode violently. Yet instead of the shards of metal flying in every possible direction, they flew toward the groups Assailant.

With that done Envy hit her knees and looked at Sora. "That worked well." She said with a smile. Then she placed her hand just above Sora's Ankle. "We need you I think, so I'll heal you up a bit." She said, but rather then do so she waited a moment to see if he would protest.

Sora only nodded, keeping his eyes on the stranger, before glancing at his ankle. His breathes comming in small gulps from the strains the roses had put on his body.

"I...theres no water...I can't fight..."

Shelden blinked, cloth still hanging out of his mouth from his previous attempts to tear it. He watched as Syaoran stood up, cringing at the shrill noise the flute produced. He frowned scrambling to his feet and spitting the cloth.

"Bleck..." He grumbled, looking and studying both the bard and the situation.

"Alright then I guess that's... good..." He replied, slightly stumped. He caught sight of the ball as it shattered, a grin beginning to form across his face before he saw something else. His pupils seemed to shrink suddenly, the grin disappearing as a look of shock crossed his face.

-

The stranger grunted and growled as the onslaught occurred somehow managing to stay on his feet through it all. He looked up, seeing Envy shatter his chain and iron ball, sending the frozen fragments in his direction. Suddenly a wicked grin broke off across his face, eyes seeming to shine brightly despite the continuing attack from the bard. It was annoying if not painful, but he could withstand it for the time being.

"What did I tell you?" He spat, a hand raising and reverting the pieces as they nearly struck him. They spiraled around his arm, the ice melting off as the shards gathered in his opened palm. In a sharp 'clank' and a bright flash the ball reformed, coming to rest soundly in his palm.

"You'll have to do better than that," he hissed, his gaze glancing from one to another. His grin twisted further. Suddenly, from what would've appeared to a person as out of no where, two chains shot up from behind Sora and Envy, rattling like snakes before wrapping themselves around the pair's necks, tightening and constricting their throats. The stranger, with the wicked expression still across his face, raised his right hand to eye level before swiftly throwing it down. The chains around Envy and Sora's throats tightening further to an almost choking situation before yanking them backwards and slamming the back of their heads forcefully into the floor. The stranger smirked, walking over to them slowly as his blade from before reappeared. He looked at Sora first as he came into range.

"Aww... did I hurt you?" He questioned, his voice dripping malice as he spoke.

"Well let me help..." With that he swiftly raised his blade and brought it down, stabbing the water bender in the same leg as his damaged ankle. He grinned, glancing at Envy as he pulled his blade out, before quickly glancing to Syaoran. His eyes narrowed as another chain shot from his sleeve, sliding across the floor before shooting upwards to knock the flute away.

"Enough of that noise..." He growled, looking back at Envy.

"Did I happen to hurt you? Care for me to help if I did?" He said, the wicked grin returning as he stabbed down at her shoulder.

Magdalena shook her head. She was rather happy in not having magic in her veins, and having to rely and obey on it in order to survive. She shapeshifted, and it had let her live this long, so she was happy with that. She looked at Sora, and pittied him. But now she was involved with the fight. The man had hurt her, and she didn't care at all for it.

"Do what you want to anyone here...if you survive..." She muttered under her breath. With that, Magdalena's eyes turned black as ash and her form changed once again. Magdalena's body became scaly and black as her eyes, with bits of red and gold and a shallow blue within them. Her form was reptilian, fangs and claws growing long and sharp as her body grew larger than the room. She became a large black dragon, glaring at the man in shadow. If she couldn't roast him, she may be able to flick him away somewhere.

With a low growl, Magdalena opened her jaws and burst out flames to just the man, flames so hot not even water nor ice could douse them out.

Syaoran slowly stepped back as the chain came flying towards him. It seemed as if he had been dulled by something.... his movements heavy and slow. Suddenly the flute was hit by the ball and slowly, almost as if time had stopped, eploded into thousands of splinters that rained into the walls and Syaoran himself. A loud crack was heard as the chain connected with the bard's jaw and sent him falling backwards with a wet 'thud'.

The bard was surpriseing on his toes seemingly before he landed, his hands grabbed the chain tight and twisted it around his hands. His sword was stabbed in the floor a few inches and his right foot was braced on it as he pulled on the chain. He doubted the figure would think he'd even try this... And so he pulled with all his might, trying to tople his foe. "That... was... my flute...." he growled, tugging even harder as he licked his lips. He then began to whistle a tune, while not nearly as strong as it could of been with his flute, he was able to make another attack unto his assailant.

Sora gasped, the pain in his leg almost unbearable, though he was able to stop the chain from choking him as he held it with one hand from his skin. Still he struggled to breath as he watched the water drip unto the floor, he glanced at the flames that would surely take his only chance away. Sucking in a single breath he let go of the chain, his arms the true source of his bending powers as the water. His head was throbbing but he had to free himself and Envy, but most of all he had to get away and heal his now freely bleeding limb.

His eyes beyond ice blue, the water came fast, rushing past the stranger, if not through him, as shards of ice seemed to pierce through the floor as they formed, releasing his breath he froze what chain he could, the shards shattering the chain about Envy's and his own neck.

A gasp of air, as he felt to weak to really concentrait, a cast of water formed about his leg, his eyes dialating as he watched the solider, unable to heal he froze the wounds in order to stop the bleeding. His lips dry as he watched in a mock horror.

His mind flashing he pulled out a rather dusty bottle and smashing the vile into the floor, cutting his palm wide open from the dusty glass a single blue rose lay in the mess of blood and glass, unable to growl he clenched glass and rose alike, and smashed both into the icey cast, the connection with water was almost instentanious as the rose burst into a small but bright blue flame, the properties with in the 'mythical' flower powerful enough for the job he needed now more then ever.

The wounds along his plams vanishing in steam as his ice cast too vanished in steam, his leg gave jerk as he bit his lower lip, blood dripping down as he rolled to his side, out of the strangers reach, his eyes flashing towards Envy.

"Come on!"

He managed as he glanced towards the hole in the wall, if he could just get near the outside, to where the snow and moisture were, to where his powers would work. Though he didn't know if he'd have enough time before the flames of the shapeshifter would cause the stranger to move again.

Envy growled watching the man move. She should have known better then to send it back at him. "Damn." She whispered as the chain wrapped around her throat. It hurt, oh it hurt, but that wasn't going to get her anywhere. She was actually giving in to the chain. It hurt less then resisting, and she wouldn't be as hurt.

Then pain shot through her head and for a moment she was out cold, however her eyes opened as the man spoke over her. "I don't need help." She said in a very raspy voice, and as he brought the blade down a blade of pure flames knocked it away. Once that was done she got up quickly. She was weak, and her head ached, but she refused to give up now. She saw sora and smiled at him.

"I'm glad you're all right water bender." She then slid between him and their Assailant. "Do what you must I'll hold him off." She said simply and quietly before facing the attacker head on.

"Forgive me, I'm being a foolish opponent." She said with a sigh. "Please, allow me to vorrect that error." She said with a smile. There were two spells in her mind, and she was mixing them. Then she added a third as roots sprang up around her enemy, he was where sora had been, within the net she'd planned to protect the water bender with., now it served a different purpose, as the roots grew out they wrapped around the mans fet and legs. thicker then what she'd used for the net. She looked at the bard then.

"I hope you can keep hold of that well, and sing all the same, because I'll need at least a few moments to finish this." She said simply.

Magdalena didn't wait for her flames to diminish and allowe the man to move again. Her flames did, however, weaken the spellcasted roots, making them less able to hold. So, Magdalena moved fast. As she felt her flames growing shorter, she quickly jolted to the man and attacked, her head moving sideways to entrap the man within her jagged teeth. She would clamp onto him like a wolf clamps onto the throat of its prey, and swng him somewhere, anywhere else. Away from the water bender, from the bard, and chase him.

(( wont be on untill the weekend...))

Sora dove for the outdoors, his body aching as he focused on calling up water, any water, to aid the battle, his arms aching from using his art so much, from being hit so many times. His leg throbbing from being healed in such an 'unnatural' way.

The stranger snickered as the chains were shattered, quickly gathering the shards back together though at what seemed to be a slower rate. He howled when the flames struck him, finding himself both trapped by the roots produced by Envy and teetering for balance because of Syaoran yanking on the chain he'd sent his way. He gritted his teeth against the pain, eyes seeming to flicker as he let out another howl.

"You'll all pay!" He shouted, once again producing a series of chains, including the ones that had been shattered previously and reformed. With a struggle he shot a hand up, placing some of the chains in the heat to cause burning when someone touched them. Once satisfied he clamped that same hand shut and batted at the oncoming Magdalena in hopes of knocking her away. At the same time, with his other hand, he yanked the chain Syaoran was pulling, engaging in what seemed like a game of tug-o-war with the bard.

The chains he'd summoned set to work on everything else, some hacking away at the roots around him while others struck out at Envy, Sora and even Shelden. The ones after Envy struck her as she spoke to the bard, managing to re-constrict around her neck and drag her down, one of the chain blades that had been heated in the flames stabbing at her. For Sora, the chains quickly began wrapping around his person in hopes of ensnaring him, slowly tugging him back into the inn as they made their attempts. And for Shelden, the chains struck at him, trying to ensnare him as well as though angered by his mere presence during the whole battle.

-

Shelden 'eeped' and dodged the chains set upon him to the best of his abilities, especially making certain to avoid the blades attached to the end of the chains. He yelped as he tripped over one of the chains, blinking and gulping down a large lump in his throat as he saw one of the chains stab down tearing through the bottom of his robes and narrowly missing going straight through his leg.

"Waaaayyy to close a call right there," he replied, hoping to his feet besides tearing his robes further. Still dodging, he frantically pulled his tome in front of him, swiftly flipping through the pages for any spell that might've been useful to him right then.

Magdalena growled at being batted away, disliking it and instantly became annoyed to it. She was a bit too big to dodge many of the chains, at least those not concerning her...so it was rather easy to avoid those. Magdalena used her size the best she could, thrashing about and stomping on the chains she could, oddly going first for those going after Shelden and attempted to keep them still. She recieved blows against her hard dragon hyde, and some of it rather hurt, and drew blood. Whenever Magdalena saw a chance, she both flew flames at the man and stepped closer and closer to him. Soon, she was face-to-face with him, and a loud, heated roar came from her. Thrashing her head to the side, and getting struck many times, Magdalena head-butted the man into the wall. She was barely involved with this fight, but already she was tired of it.

'if you do not stop this...i will eat you' Magdalena growled to the man, adding a bit of drool sliding down from the corner of her mouth to add truth to what she said. Blood dripped off of her body everywhere, creating a shallow pool beneath her, however she seemed not to care at the moment.

As the chains struck out at Sora, it was too late. Water shot forth, the water bender grinning, as the chains froze to the ground. Shattering as a water whip smashed into them, he stood now, at the hole in the wall, several rings of water about him as he spread his arms and sent the rings forth, keeping one about him encase he needed it.

The rings seemed to unravel into spurts of water, engulfing the chains that were sent after his friends and freezing them solid, the thick ice wieghing so that soon they fell to the floor with loud 'clunks'.

Sora smiling as sweat dripped down his brow from his concentration.
