Saro hid a smile, glad that she had the two to help.
"I'd get it for you, but you konw what happened last time...." she said, blushing. Other than accidentally making the water boiling and killing any fish in the stream, they'd had to find another stream, about a days walk away for water.
Karik left the room and saw Skeith bringing Ako inside. "What happened? Nevermind, I don't think I want to know... I'm going to find your priest, can you manage to stay out of trouble until we get back?" he asked, to Ako as much as the person holding her.

Sirako Syanthe hid a smirk before bounding off into the woods. When she reached the stream she realized that the water was polluted with some black substance. She sprinted back and gasped, "Something's in the water, and I don't know what it is."Ako's eyes grew wide. "No this guy beat me up and so I-I..." Ako's voice trailed away because she didn't remember what she had done. That's when the voice entered her mind again. You killed him... It whispered."Skeith nodded, not knowing what Ako was taling about, but he said to Karik, "I don't know who you are, but I guess I can say thank you. You might want to hurry though because I think she's in shock." He looked down to Ako and then to him as he realized that she didn't know what he had just said.Innis opened the door to Ako's room and realized that it was still unlocked. She held it opened for Skeith before she whispered under her breathe imaptiently, "I'm not going to wait all day you know..." At hearing this mumbling Skeith turned, "What now?" He wore a simpering smile as he truly did not know what she had said. "I'm sure you heard..." She said. He merely cocked his head to one side and carried Ako in, the smile turning into a questioning frown.

"Whatever. But, could you make sure nothing else happens to her? He'll want her in one piece when he gets here..." he said before running off, taking a wolf form before racing into the forest.
Saro turned to her, hiding the fear from her features. "What? Was is a, a black smoke almost? That seemed like it was trying to get out of the water?" she asked, speaking quickly.
"How would you know about it?" Zyriaut asked, uneasy about how the elf new about the water.
"Long story. I'm not going into it now." Saro spat back, ignoring her.

Sirako "Alrightie then!" Skeith called back after Karik. He walked over to the bed and dumped Ako onto the bed. She seemed to start from a trance when she hit the plushie bed. "Awake now?" Skeith said laughing heartily.Ako looked up and shook her head in confusion. Then nodded almost as if it were an afterthought. She brought her hand up to her forehead to feel that even her was bruised from with the guy had slammed her into a crate. She cringed at that memory, but after that everything seemed like a blur. "I'm going to get some sleep now..." She said, rolling over.Skeith walked over to the couch and plopped down on it as if he owned the place. "Yep, that's a good idea." He said loudly and pompously."Skeith why don't we get some rooms ourselves, you know we have money," Innis glared at him like an angry mother. Skeith cringed at Innis' motherly words and started to wriggle in the couch. "But, but... I..." He stammered and then said in finality, "I don't wanna!" He rolled over to escape Innis' glare. Innis looked over to see Ako was already asleep, her back towards them. With a sigh Innis went to the corner and unroled a bedroll to sleep on the floor.Father Michael shifted nervously, and then said aloud."Wonderful."Syanthe looked from Father Michael to Saro before saying, "Yes, that's exactly what it looked like. What are you thinking?" She glanced at Zyriaut hoping that her little sister wouldn't be too mad at her.

"Not again..." she moaned softly, sighing. "We have to leave, now. He's sent it again, we don't want to be near when it's able to get out of the water." she said, hurridly rolling up one of the bedrolls that had been laid out the night before. She paused when they heard a wolf howl, and a puzzled look flickered across her face. "Karik?" she whispered before going back to packing up.

Sirako Syanthe allowed herself a suspicous glance at Saro before she continued to pick things up. She hurridly stuffed them into the bag, and although it was quick it was neat as Syanthe would die of an ucky-messy-ness-attack.Father Michael grabbed his own bedroll and continued to pack quietly. When he heard Saro whisper Karik he looked around. The wolf howl had startled him and it sent his nerves tingling, not only did that freak him, but the fact that Syanthe didn't seem to care also bothered him. Was he hearing things? He decided otherwise because Saro had mentioned Karik's name so he brushed off the idea and continued to pack.

Zyriaut extinguished the fire, making sure the ashes were cold and couldn't be reheated.
Saro finished, and grabbed her bow from where it was by the tree, pausing to string it. Slinging the bag over her shoulder, she waited for the others to finishe packing, as she'd only get in the way if she tried to help.

Syanthe finished putting stuff into the bag and stood up helping Father Michael to his feet, looking to Saro. "Are we ready to go?"
Father Michael grabbed Syanthe's hand and pulled himself up to his feet. He wobbled a bit, but was able to make it to his feet. He nodded in agreement with Syanthe before starting to walk forward.

Zyriaut followed them, grabbing the bag as she passed it. "So what exactly is it that we're running from? And what did you mean by "not again"?" she asked, knowing she was walking on a knife's edge by asking.
Saro sighed as she fell into step near them, and paused a moment before replying. "It's, I don't know what it is. It's this thing that obeys the command of whoever summoned it, and it's probably after me, again. I'm wanted back on the ship, my leaving wasn't appreciated. If he wasn't at the point of a blade, he never would have let me go. About a year ago, he summoned it and sent it after me. It takes the form of a black smoke, and has to manage to group itself enough to rise from the water. Once out though, it can travel extreamly quickly. It's poisonous, and can take a physical form, I don't know what it is though. Last time, it was trapped in a bottle, I forget how it ended up in there...." she explained quietly, keeping her eyes down.

Syanthe stopped walking and glared at the ground, her hand gripped tighter around the scabbard of the rapier that was at her side. She then said, "Who is the one that sent this thing after you?" Her voice was tight and thick with anger she was trying to supress but to no avail.
Father Michael looked back at Syanthe and stopped as he saw the anger that seemed to cloud her face. "What's troubling you?" He looked back and forth between Syanthe and Zyriaut, confused as to what was happening.

Zyriaut slipped around Syanthe and ushered Father Michael foreward. "Leave them, wait till they, mainly Syanthe, calms down. You don't want to be around her when she's like this..." she whispered, leading him away from the two.
"The captain of the ship I grew up on, Akarni." she said quietly, then added so quietly it was barely audible, "my father...." She stopped, keeping her eyes downcast and continued. "Was leaving even worth it? I was accused of murder, which was one of the few I didn't commit, and he took to the slave trade, kidnapping anyone who I knew and left. I only gained my freedom because I caught him off-guard and my sword was at his throat, there is no other reason. Anyone who actually looks can find the ship's brand on me, I can't escape being part of his crew... He controls the only person who can control me, he might as well have direct control over me..." she finished, her voice barely over a whisper.

Father Michael gladly followed Zyriaut gladly, but once out of earshot asked, "What's wrong with Syanthe?"
"That is your explanation? That? Do you know, my parents are dead because of creature like the one you explain? Don't you realize that I had all that I loved stolen? Do you understand that I had thought my sister was dead for years only to find that some creature that was after YOU was the one that was responsible for my worry, my pain!?" Syanthe screamed, the air around her rising up in a fury. She undid her gauntlet to show a scar that wrapped around her wrist. It looked as it had been burnt by a slitering snake. "I got this from that thing in the water, didn't I? That same thing that is after you!" With that Syanthed turned. When she spoke again her voice was quieter. "I don't think you understand... " Syanthe began to remember the creature vividly, it wrapping around her arm and she shrieked as the memories from its kills entered her head.
After hearing the screaming lecture tha Syanthe gave Saro he turned to Zyriaut, "Well, I think it was a good idea that we got away... I feel sorry for Saro though..."

"You think I can control it? I've been running for the last few years, never staying anywhere for more than a week. My father is a murderer and wanted in every port, and I'm hated by any who know this simply because I sailed under him and was born by him. I grew up trying to stay out of the grasps of all the other men, do you know how many times I only got away only because Akarni saw me pinned against the wall? I stay away from people so they don't get hurt because of me, but that doesn't even work! I was killing before I was 10, do you know how much guilt I've felt since then? All the people who's lives I've destroyed, yours included? Could you stand knowing that so many people are dead because you were born? My mother and her daughter, born to another man. All the innocents I tricked and slaughtered in their sleep as a child. Could you stand the guilt?" she cried, tears slipping down her cheeks. "No I don't understand, but neither do you." she whispered, turning and darting off, her tread as silent as if she were walking.
Zyriaut smiled faintly after hearing Saro's response. "And I for Syanthe... If they see each other again, I'd like to hear what happens. We should probably get further away, we don't want them to know we stayed close enough to listen." she said, pulling him farther down the path.

Syanthe merely stood there when she heard something above her. Reacting quickly she jumped backwards into a tree and formed herself into a hawk. She looked back only to see nothing. Realizing her paranoia she flew up into the air above the forest, not even calling to let Zyriaut know she flew to the border of the forest.
Father Michael nodded after Saro gave her part of the speech. He turned trying to walk away from the scene.

Zyriaut sighed, then pulled one of the orbs from the pouch at her hip. It raised from her hand shakly, then flew in the direction Saro had gone. "I don't trust to leave her alone, she'll end up doing something we'll all regret." she explained. "Keep going, they'll catch up to us when they do."
Saro sat in a tree from where she could see the stream, watching the thing within curling around, gathering itself together enough to come out of the water. She let her head rest on her knees, then looked to the dagger balanced on the branch in front of her, wondering who would care if she did...
