Rizen rushed passed the Miltank Ranch north of Olivine in a flash, not noticing until it was too late as he tripped over something lying on the ground. "Whoa!" he shouted as he felt his top going down and his bottom passing his head, the other way.

"Vash!?" Khite cried in alarm as he saw his friend go down. He was just far enough away to think the other male had fallen from some mysterious force. "Are you okay?" he asked as he caught up to the man.

"I'm fine..." Rizen replied as he dug his face out of the dirt. "I just tripped over...whatever this is..." he explained as he picked up a strange object, heart shaped as best he could tell and colored crimson and gold. It looked rather dusty so it must have been lying around for a while.

"It's neat..." Khite remarked as he snatched the item out of Rizen's hands. Inspecting it on his own, he seemed rather intense...sort of. He had his teeth clenched somewhat, his tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth as he poked and prodded. "It opened!" he declared as the item opened up to reveal the inside.

"It looks like a compass..." Rizen remarked as he stood up and looked at it.

"But it's pointing the wrong way." Khite pointed out, indicating the arrow, which seemed to be pointing to the southeast.

"Maybe it's just old and broken?" Rizen suggested.

"Dunno." Khite remarked as he stuck the item in his pocket and headed closer to Olivine. "Oh well, let's just go find that ship you said we were looking for."

Rizen and Khite climbed aboard the small skiff and found seats. "This thing's not like any normal ship. Most of the ones that hit this island are old fashioned sailing ships." the captain remarked as he headed to the helm. "This one's a Seagallop, a specially designed, high speed passenger ship for taking people to distant destinations in short order." he explained as he revved the motor to life.

"So that means-"

"Hold onto your hats, boys!" the young man cried as he hit full throttle within seconds.

"AAAHHHH!!!!"

"EEEEeeeee!"

"AAAHAHAHAHAA!"

Making her way from the docks, Chloe paused momentarily to admire the lighthouse that made Olivine a landmark. She had heard an Ampharos lit the tower at night, which was charming, if a bit antiquated. She had never seen it for herself, however, but perhaps one night she'd give the lighthouse a visit, she mused, making her way to the Pokecenter.

Later on, after she had wandered through town a bit, Chloe headed northward, along the route that would eventually take her on to the next town. Ecruteak.

She spent some time watching the herds of Miltank and Tauros that grazed along the many pastures, but even they lost her interest after a while. She was a bit worried about the gyms ahead, that much was true. Although she knew that her team would be able to carry her through, the reality of the two challenging gyms ahead had her a bit anxious.

But Chloe kept heart, as she made her way eastward, crossing into the city of Ecruteak.
