Merlin paused at Kairi's questions, frowning a bit. Well, he knew the future, so he could probably tell her everything she wanted to know... but damned if he ruined the plot of the RP. Wizards can break the fourth wall, too!
"My, my," he muttered, and stroked his beard thoughtfully.
"Kairi, the mysteries of the future are not mine to reveal. This is merely something you will have to discover for yourself... We make our own destinies. It is up to you whether or not you will find Riku and Sora. But," he then winked. "Magic is a very helpful thing to learn, at any rate. You never know when it will come in handy."
He then waved his wand around the members of the party. "Higgly piggly poof!"
Kairi learned FIRE!
Namine learned BLIZZARD and THUNDER!
Zumi learned REFLECT!
"And that's all there is to it!" He finished cheerily.
A few objects of his tea set walked over to the edge of the table. The sugar bowl threw a spoon at him. Merlin twitched and looked around for the culprit. "Confound it!"
The sugar bowl crossed its handles at him, disapprovingly.
"Ah," Merlin looked back at the group of children, bewildered, but smiling politely. "You would like to have some tea and sugar before you go, yes?"

Zumi got a stupid look on her face. "...What does-oh fo'g't, ah'll'earn lat'r on." Zumi waved her hand dismissedly.

Kairi grinned a bit, glad to finally have some magic of her own. The idea ws exhillerating.
"Yes, please," she said with a smile, giggling at the angry sugar bowl.

"Sure," Namine said, even though she wasn't much of a tea person. However, she figured that since she had just been imbued with the ability to actually attack people, the least she could do for Merlin was drink his tea. She giggled along with Kairi at the discontented sugar bowl.

"Excellent! We'll have a fine party, then," Merlin invited the others to sit down, or rather, the stools did it themselves by hopping out from under the table. He himself sat down as the tea began pouring itself.

Namine sat, smoothing the skirt of her dress underneath her as she did so. She removed her pencils and sketchbook from the table and slipped them onto the floor underneath the stool. "What kind of tea is it?" she asked Merlin. Even with her limited experience, she was aware that there were varieties of tea the same way that there were different colors for pencils to come in.

Elsewhere the little tennis ball heartless was careening through the sky following the source of the heartless. It smacked right into a tower and it seemed to faulter a bit. After shaking off it's dizziness, it pressed itself against the wall and formed a portal to go though said wall. After gaining entrance, it flew across through rooms until it ran into something unexpected and fell to the ground.

Ares looks down at the tiny heartless lying oh so helplessly on the ground. Filtering out of his helmet is the sound of a hundred steel teeth gnashing together in a mirthless smile. One gauntleted hand reaches down to envelope the tiny heartless. He projects a thought into the heartless' mind. Now tiny. Where are you from! Who is your master!

The small heartless could tell that it was close to the source, but this large heartless wasn't it. It seemed to shiver at the booming voice then quickly decided on a action. It began to store electric energy and began a lighting attack akin to yellow mages, then focused the final hit with a direct lighting bolt right up at the hand then attempted to hover away.

Ares reels back at the magical attack, which bypasses his purley physical defense and strikes home. Little bugger!! He swats at the little sphere, sending it tumbling into Mortimer's throne room.
Mortimer looks down at the tiny heartless. "Now what do we have here?" He rises from his throne and points his staff at the tiny creature.

The little heartless rolled to a stop and it's singler eye opened up to see a staff pointed at itself, as well as the source of the Heartless. It than began bouncing itself around the room in hopes not to get hit by something, then careened for the exit.

Mortimer tracks the bouncing sphere with his staff and shouts, "Burn!!" The stiff of the staff pulses and sends out a small fireball which misses the sphere but cuts off it's escape. "Freeze!" This time the staff sends out a wave of icy cold towards the heartless.

With it's exit blocked the heartless began what looked like a panic. It then turned around right when it became an ice cube and fell to the ground.

Mortimer picks up the frozen heartless and peers intently at it. He holds the ball in one hand and places the other over it. "Now then, to find your master." Mortimer's paws begin to glow, his mind delves into the heartless's feeble mind and sorts through the contents. child, child, child, nobody, Limos, Merlin... Pastry? Which one is your master?
