Ryn lifted off the ground, smirking slightly before propelling towards Arannis, his speed increasing as he drew near. Reaching his hands out, two new blades appeared, the blades as dark as the night. Hanging off the hilt was the Wing-like extensions.. now fully tainted by the Darkness.

Arannis gritted his teeth, forcing himself not to falter in his focus, and brought his hands in front of him, raising a reversing barrier between himself and Ryn, and, content with the possibility of Ryn swiping himself in half, turned to regard Kaida, eyes blazing, as was the rest of him.
"I have had enough of this, Kaida. This ends now!"
He rushed at her, phasing through and several yards behind, firing an immense set of light rays arcing her way from behind.

The Darkness that enveloped her reflected the blasts, before it revealed her true form.  Showing no emotion, she began to survey the area. A slight smile overcame her face when she saw Ryn Kuromaru, her bodyguard, in the midst of the fray, using his raw strength. Turning her head towards Arannis, her slight smile faded away. "Do you wish to die?"

Arannis, overcome by a sudden wave of sheer darkness, reverted away from the Wonder and became his now-typical Revealed being, crashing again to the ground, hardly able to breathe.
"W-who... *are* you...?!" He gasped, slowly bringing himself to his feet.

The pulsating waves of Darkness emanating from her constantly surged throughout the area, killing any life within the radius that could not withstand it's power.
"You stand before the Essence of Darkness...But you did not answer me..Do you want to die?" she said, calmly.

Taking a step towards Arannis, she vanished instantly, and reappeared infront of him, only to pass right through his very being, wisps of Darkness following her where she went. The Gold on Arannis' being instantly tarnished, as she turned around to face the weakened foe.
"You have no answer.. Then I shall give you one.." she said, still calmly, with no emotion behind her voice.
Elegantly raising a hand above her head, a blood red orb appeared in her hand, the massive energy crackling and surging with the same power that was flowing from her being.

Arannis, now entirely unable to breathe through the agony of the ever-growing nearness of absolute darkness, could only make a vain effort of holding himself up with a hand, instead falling flat, face-down.

Thrusting forward the hand that held the orb, she pushed the hand and the orb through Arannis' chest. A slight smile appeared on her face as the Orb went towards Arannis' soul, attaching to a part of it, slowly breaking it away from the main core..

Now unable to breathe, act, even think... Arannis could only watch the life that he had spent the last century restoring wither and die in sheer terror, while his very force of life beyond itself drained away from him.
Everything I had ever done... An unwilling slave to fate...

Nyx grasped the Orb once again as half of Arannis' soul was absorbed into it's core. Jerking the Orb out with a swift motion, the Soul Fragment broke free from the main core, swallowed into the Orb.
Reaching her other arm into Arannis' chest, she slowly wrapped her fingers around his heart.. her fingernails on the edge of digging into the fleshy bag of blood.
"Do you know the true meaning of pain?"

Arannis' head struck the ground beneath him, unable to keep any activity throughout his body at all.
"...fullest."

Slowly she weaves the chains of Darkness around Arannis' heart, before igniting the chains within him ablaze.
"Really now...Filthy Celestials..You can't even stand up to my faithful Bodyguard.."

Arannis, knowing full well that somehow or other, fate dictated that he would yet live through this, in a last attempt to restore hope for himself, let alone the rest of all life, brought a hand slowly to himself, weaving the slowest healing light that had ever been known around himself, barely neutralizing the agony resulting from this latest torment.
"H-h-had it not... been for an...... absolute.... I might have succeeded....."
