Hey Furry Guy. YOu don't NEED to go Earth to barrier by the way. You could easily have barrier effects with Wind for example (Compression effects). Consider it. Having Wind Barriers might make you stand out a little more than the typical Gaara type randomly popping up sand piles or shooting up rocks out of the ground to give you cover.

Also rather than counterjutsuing for your monkly/priest powers... How about instead have Jutsus that give you "Seals"? Something done in Naruto at least. Could have say a few Genin level Jutsus that say something like:

Banishment: Infuse a sacred sutra with your chakra and attach it to a _______ elemental construct or item. (Like Water Clones, some of the sacred/legendary swords, etc) While the sutra is attached that item is frozen in place (things like Clones and Spirits) or cannot manifest it's special powers (Things like Kakashi's White Chakra blade powers?).

Would make more sense as a Genin level thing if you had to take one for each element that you wanted to banish rather than one utility skill that could cover any element.

Highwind: I do like the "seals" Idea, it does sounds like it could work and makes a lot more sense too. and for the wind thing, i would do that but Genbu is earth, so I had to chose earth as my prime element, once i become a jounin, I could use wind or something that would work. thanks for the idea and if you have anymore that would help me for sure.

Jaegar: I am using more of a cross between a Abbot(High level monk with priest-like talents)). and warrior Monks who actually guarded the temples and was using a Idea of Inuyasha (thank you Oramol). but I was going to focus on Taijutsu while I worked on his technics. and i was kind thinking of visiting the Hyuuga clan as a kinda family or personal mission and learn how to stop chakra. and for weapons I have his monk spade, which has excellent power speed and flexibility for a pole arm, I think from experience.

Also since it just came to me Yoshi: Would make more sense to use a "Pure" mineral rather than just random rocks considering your elemental affinity. I'm thinking you could have a ton of Jade Jutsus. Keeps in with the Budoka style theme and is Earth style.
