((Played X and loved it, played X-2 and thought it was okay))
Jon smiled slightly at her last comment, "Well I am not one to deny tradition now am I." His mind shifted to his more romantic side for a moment at the thought and then after a while his thoughts shifted again. He watched her work noting he organization as she worked on unpacking. He had a thought, "It would drive you insane if someone rearranged your room while you weren't looking or did something like moving everything a small increment to the right." Yet another observation as everything seemed to have a predestined spot. He could understand slightly. Jon wasn't that way about everything but when it came to his poisons and ingredients everything had to be in the right place and in a certain order. If anything was out of place it would throw him completely off.

Pausing as she walked to her wardrobe, Mori thought about it. "Huh," she finally said, "I never thought about it." Shrugging, she added, "And no one's ever done it either." Putting her pack in place on the floor by her spare boots and hanging up her winter coat, she mused about it a little more as she sat back down on the bed, the reattachable heels and arches of her current boots in hand.
"Probably," she finally decided, "Things being out of place would drive me crazy simply because if they aren't in the same spot everytime, I'll never remember where they are." She blushed slightly as she kept her hands busy reattaching her heels. "I'm horribly scatterbrained, I'm afraid. Once I put something down, I forget about it until I need it again later. If it isn't put away the first time, I'll most likely lose it." She didn't feel like adding that wandering around like she did, she had to stay organized or she would leave something she valued behind on accident. Taking a glance at her boots, she made a face when she saw how dirty they were and immediately removed them. Walking on light feet, she set them down by her desk and reached inside her wardrobe again for the spares. She would have to polish the other pair that night before she dared wear them again. The soles needed replaced too, now that she thought of it.

Jon had figured as much. It was interesting what you could figure out just from observation. He watched her work with her small nimble hands, always seeming to be thinking of the next little job she had to do. In perspective they really had not been home very long and already things were moving along well or at least they were in Jon's mind. "I hate to say it but you have me beat in that area. I pretty much set things down wherever I can and then pick it up later when I remember it. The only thing that I keep organized are my poisons for obvious reasons." It was definitely going to be interesting to see how there living conditions turned out with the way they both were.

Pulling out her spare boots and sitting down at her desk to put them on, Mori also entertained the thought of how their living conditions would work out. She ended up shrugging and telling herself not to worry about it yet. Mori pulled on her spare boots, making checks all the while that nothing was strained, broken, or worn. Finally satisfied, she draped her arm over the back of the chair and crossed her legs, comfortable where she was sitting for the moment, the desk chair turned to the side so she could see Jon. "I'll have to avoid wherever you store your poisons," she confided as she tilted her head slightly to the side in thought, "I'm horrible at telling them apart, and the fumes make me dizzy." The half-demon wrinkled her nose at the memories she had of the last apothecary she stepped into.

Jon nodded, "Don't worry I'll find somewhere to lock them up. Even if I have to build a shed." He smiled slightly happy that they were thinking along the same lines. Unity in words was one thing but thought, that was something even more intimate. That was why psychic couples were always so close, one bad thought and they would end up fighting. The thought made Jon glad he didn't have that ability and that Mori's wasn't that fine tuned yet. Not that he ever thought maliciously of Mori it's just that there were sometimes small thoughts he would like kept to himself. Fears that he didn't want Mori to have to worry about, certain mission details, and numerous other things that Mori would be better off and happier not knowing. He loved her too much to let her worry about him and while his words would never do that he knew his thoughts could at times betray him if he wasn't careful.

Nodding in agreement, Mori stood up and walked over to her bed. She wrapped one of her arms around his shoulders, the other hand picking up one of his and squeezing it gently. "I'd better get going if I'm going to find Anlu," she said softly. Kissing his cheek gently, she said, "I'll find you once I'm done at the Port and have her measurements, alright? Now don't you have a letter to write?" Teasing him was become second nature for her, as well as a way for her to show her affection. She had picke dup bits and pieces of his last thoughts, but found nothing to worry about. He was protecting her, she could appreciate that.

Jon returned the kiss and stood up, "Yeah yeah yeah. It'll get done eventually I'm almost certain." His smile was broad as he joked back about it. "Though I guess it has to be done in order for us to not have it be uneven." He picked up his boots, "I'll probably still be up here working on the write letter. I don't know if I'll be able to find the right words right away. I mean how do you tell a man who's been like a brother to you that your getting married doubt that you'll ever see him again, don't want to accept any of his job offers and that you want him to be your best man nicely. See what I have to deal with here." He laughed slightly at the thought of Nemo's reaction.

Giggling softly, she said honestly, "Better you than me, that's all I have to say." Pausing at her door, Mori added, "And don't say you won't ever see him again. I'm sure we can manage to meet up with him sometimes." She made sure that her purse and dagger were firmly attached to her belt before she waved her hand as she walked out the door and said over her shoulder, "There's plain stationary and sealing wax all in my desk if you want to just use them, I don't mind." Making her way down the ladder to the first floor, she paused at the landing and looked up for a moment. It was hard to leave Jon's side. She didn't feel comfortable on her own any more. Forcing herself to let go of the ladder, she managed to walk out of the Living Quarters for the Port.

Jon watched her walk away with a smile, man he was such a sap. Nothing more than a fool in love sometimes. He went to his room and checked the Lotus, it was coming along quite nicely. He pulled out a couple of pieces of paper and started to write. H wrote for a little while and stopped. He reread what he had and balled it up. It just wasn't right. He started again only to have the same result. This was hard to explain. When he had left for the striders he had planed on returning after a few years but now he was having to say the opposite. He hadn't expected to find a reason for staying, not one so great that was. So he kept trying to explain over and over again.

Walking up to the Living Quarters with inward relief, Puck was pleasantly surprised to find the lower level empty. The shapeshifting demon approached the ladder leading to the upper floor and took a deep breath before climbing up. Sure enough, Jon's scent was too strong to not have a body accompanying it. "He's up here, alright," he was quick to assure his current companion. "Odds are seven to ten he's wallowing without Mori and trying to distract himself from so-mentioned wallowing. They both tend to do that when they're seperated unless you keep them busy." Puck felt his mouth quirk up into an amused grin at the idea of two assasins, admittedly one much better trained, being Jon, than the other, being his aunt, beint heartsick when they weren't together.

Upon entry into the living quarters, she felt the slightly farmiliar warmth of the room around her. For those who could see, it probably looked quite cozy, despite the weaponry hanging from the walls. Though her surroundings were blurred, she maneuvered easily around the tables, chairs and couches, going straight towars the ladder that went to the second level. Not needing her keen ears, she could hear those stirring above her. Well, looks like they beat us here. Oh well. Shruggin physically and mentally, she proceeded up the ladder and then walked down the hall towards Mori's room.

Nemo followed silently till they were at Jon's door. He then commenced to knocking. The door shook under the man's sheer force. It seemed at one point like it was about to come off of it's hinges.
Jon had made no progress with that letter, there were balls of paper all around the floor. He was slightly annoyed with not being able to explain everything. Then came the heavy pounding on the door, hard enough to scare Jon out of his concentration and cause him to fall to the floor. He stood to his feet after the pounding ceased. Jon moved to the door ready to chew out who ever was behind it but instead found the person he had least expected. "Nemo? What the hell are you doing here? I mean I'm glad you are but I wasn't expecting you to turn up so soon, I hadn't even sent you the letter. What the hell are you doing here?"
"Well I was going to come through and see how things were for you but it seems that there have been other things occurring. I ran into your lovely bride to be, thank ya for that one. I won a bet on that one." Nemo pushed his way into the room, "Although that is nice I have other things to talk to you about."
Jon nodded to Puck and sat back down, "Nemo before you start, I'm not going back to the dessert, I like it here too much. Besides I want to start family and that just isn't the place. I can't risk getting taken off by Ramses in the middle of the night, I'm not putting Mori through that." That was it, everything Jon had wanted to say in an instant. "And I need you to be the best man. If you don't mind."
Nemo stared for a moment, "Well I would be over joyed to be your best man Jon. I am not going to give up on getting you back out there though, you know that. You are my heir until I get another and I'm not going to let that be from one of those gold digging dessert hussies who are always trying to sink their teeth in me. Though it is fun to let them think I am. Just making them wait forever, dangling it just within their grasp. They make decent servants." He was going off subject again, "Anyway when is this wedding?"
Jon laughed, "Um eventually." He just realized that he had no idea when they were planning to have the ceremony. Funny really when one thought about it.

Puck stayed out of the way for the most part, leaning against the open doorway rather than letting himself in. It was interesting to see Jon interact with someone besides Mori or the captain, both of whom had strong holds on him that were relatively new, as opposed to someone like Nemo who had a hold on him for years. The news that Jon was Nemo's heir was a nice bit of news as well that Puck didn't mind storing for further exploitations. As it was now, he chuckled at his future uncle's response, deciding to toss his two cents in. "I'm going to say spring at the earliest," he said with a slight smile, "Mori has that odd passion for violets which I suspect will show up in her and Anlu's flowers, and they don't bloom till then at the earliest. It also gives the rest of us a little time to build that seperate living quarters the captain talked about." The demon couldn't help but wink suggestivelly at Jon for that. Teasing was second nature, after all.
Mori followed Anlu into the Living Quarters more carefully than she had left, afraid of dropping something. She hesitated at the ladder and instead had her packages hover in mid air, a difficult task for the still-struggling psychic, as she climbed up. The half-demon wasn't able to keep them completely in the same spot the entire time, but they didn't touch the floor either. Once sitting on the ledge, she brought them back to her hands to take the strain off her powers, stood up, and walked to her door where Anlu was waiting. She chose to ignore Jon's door further down where she could see at least part of Puck. A confrontation between him and Anlu was not welcome, and she had a feeling he was currently enjoying teasing the ever-loving daylights out of Jon at the moment anyway.
Looking at her rumbled bed in annoyance once she had the door shut, she set the packages carefully down on her desk chair while she made the simple coverings. "Men..." she muttered though there was no ill will in her tone, "Can't trust them to straighten out a few blankets if your life depended on it..." Once her bed was neat, she moved the packages over there, leaving room for her to sit and do some work if her time allowed that. Mori returned to her desk and flipped her journal open to the design and carefully scrawled out the different dimensions she would need off of Anlu. At last, she reached into one of the desk's drawers and pulled out her sewing kit. Opening it up and moving the top "shelf" that held pins, needles, and other small tools out of the way, she pulled out a simple undyed cord that had been knotted so that there about ninteteen knots to a hand, allowing her to be fairly accurate. "Alright, let's get started I suppose," Mori said as she uncoiled the cord. "Want to start at the waist?"

Anlu waited patiently for Mori to bring her thinks up to her room. She smacked herself mentally for not trying to help the hald-demon carry her materials. Anlu had just gotten a sudden burst of energy, she had no clue where from, and didn't stop to think. Entering after Mori, Anlu took a good look around. The scent of Violets and something else filled her nose. Everything around her looked blurred brown... and maybe red? She wasn't too sure. The waist? "You can start wherever you wish... just as long as you don't turn me into a walking, talking pin cushion." Anlu gave the girl a teasing smile... she was sure Mori would be careful with her needles and thread. Preparing herself, Anlu stood up straight and held her arms out. It wasn't the first time she'd been fitted for a dress... however, she hadn't worn a dress in many, many years...
