Kepi listened to the humans bablings more interested in the feather that was now out of his reach. He looked into the human's eyes and meowed at him, then returned to all four feet and ran to the other side of the room, towards the kitchen. As he got inside he ran to his master and jumped onto the table.

Bastet heard something bound into the room and saw kepi jump onto the table. "Hey now, get off of the table." She swatted at him playfully with a paw and he pounced on that as well before she picked him up and returned him to the ground. "Silly cat."

Bastet turned as she heard Khenu's voice and paniced a little. Still weary from when he has seen her so upset, she was not quite sure what to say until she processed his question. She turned to Kepi, "Do you not like him?"

Kepi looked up at his master, "He is fine, he taunted me with a feather though. Why do humans always want to taunt me? He is not hurting anything I am just curious why you all find it so amusing." Kepi walked back to Khenu sniffed around him properly, and then rubbed up against him some.

Smiling some Bastet watched Kepi, "Your reaction is funny, so essentially yo bring it upon yourself." Then she met Khenu's eyes again, "Uh, he is just curious why everyone finds it amusing to taunt him. He does not mind, but he does not understand either."

Bastet pasted a smile onto her face and watched Khenu and Kepi, "Like I said he does not mind, His name is Kepi, it means tempest in Egyptian. As you can see he is a little storm of energy with an attitude." She fidgeted some and finishing er sandwich got up to go out of the mansion, "Excuse me, I will go for a walk." She called Kepi after her and they walked out of the mansion together.

Hoshi creeps around, hoping to find something intresting. "I wonder, maybe I should go back to the Feudal Wing. Perhaps something waits for me there." Hoshi stood straighter and thought for a moment. A light breeze coming from the courtyard was inviting and she followed the invitation. She walked slowly and soon heard the familiar soft taps of the concrete and stone under her footsteps. A crisp wind whirled and Hoshi smiled since her odd dream. She let her hair down and sat on a nearby bench under a tree. Black strands whiped around her smallframe and face, but through her blue grey eyes she saw a whole world to learn about. "Hmmm...now thats the place I shall go to!" She said happily to herself.

She heard munching above her head and was surprised to find a bit of bread on her head. Looking up with curiosity, she found Khenu with relief. "Hi Khenu, tell the others I will be gone will you?," she said softly while standing up and gathering her hair," Enjoy your meal!" the waved gently in his direction. She smiled while walking away and started to hum and song she heard long, long ago.

Bastet walked back inside holding Kepi. She walked over to the couch and sat down with him in her lap gracefully purring under her skillful claws. She found every one of his spots until finally he flopped over in her lap to let her pet his belly. They both perked their ears up at the sound they heard, only Bastet had trouble discerning what it was.

Immediately Kepi got up and bounded out of the room towards the noise. As Bastet moved to follow him, he turned around and hissed and spit at her if she got too close. "No." Then he ran off further down the hallway to Nailah's room.

Puzzled, but not wanting to disturb Nailah, or face her yet. She walked around the room until she saw Khenu outside, so decided to go out there. Slinking to the tree, she climbed up the other side quietly and over to a branch above him to let her tail hang down and swish across the top of his head.

Bastet heard his comment and grinned wrapping her tail around his arm. "Has no one told you to face your fears?" She let go and looked down to him as she perched on her branch, tail still swishing playfully and her ears in a somewhat upward position indicating her slight happiness.

She then jumped to a branch next to his and leaned against the trunk of the tree, "This is an awful low branch you know."

She nodded and looked to him a moment, "I would not want you to fall out of a tree or be at the top and play lightning rod, especially if others are near the tree." She looked away again and then broached the subject she had been earlier avoiding. "Thank you for being there Khenu." She jumped down from the tree and stood by the lake, enjoying being out during the day. Then she jumped into the water and began looking for some fish.
