*Dorn brings his hand together as if in prayer, a position that he has found helps him focus... it prevents him from fiddling with things in his fingers, like small pieces of paper, and getting distracted. The runes of power which are the key to the spell bubble to the surface of his mind. He understands them, what they represent, or at least what sounds they are, and he whispers them under his breath. When he began using this spell, over a month ago, he didn't know what those runes were or why it felt right to chant them... now he knows that they are 'incantation'. The white energy flows through his body and mind, forming a silvery-white shield around the front of his body. It looks strangely solid, but also watery... 'colloidal' was the correct term, but Dorn had never heard of that word. The shield is not very thick, because Dorn doesn't like to waste energy needlessly... and he doesn't have enough to use it constantly, with the seal on his powers in effect.*
I changed your version a little so it would work with angelic energy... what do you think? 3nodding
