Az gave a little grin, putting an arm around his waist as they walked, the mansion in sight. "At least we wont get bored, right? Nothing's worse then being bored for all eternity."

Az blushed, and then looked away. "That's... really sweet, Von."

Az scaled the steps of the mansion, and opened the door, only to be tackled by the woman she'd saved yesterday.
"Oh thank god! I don't know what's going on! I smell all these things, and I want to eat vile liquids! Help me!!" She cried, clinging to Az'Maria.
At first, she was confused, but then, with a heavy sigh, gave the woman a hug and patted her head.
"There, there, little one." she said calmly, "There is nothing to be scared up at the moment. That liquid was blood. You will need to drink it to survive."

Az felt a calm rush over her. It was almost like a wave, for she could feel it flow over her and everyone in the house. "She can't control her powers yet." she said to Von, and then looked down at the woman. "Hush, little one. You are powerful now, and you must learn to control yourself. Take a deep breath and hold it. You no longer need air, but your mind is still human. You will feel better."

The woman nodded in Az'Maria's arms, still clutching her tightly. "Little one, you have yet to tell us what to call you. What is your name?"
Pause.
"Yesterday... it was Megan..."
"Is that what we are to call you?"
"...No... not any more... Megan died, along with her baby..."
"Then what, little one, shall we call you..."
The woman looked up to Az with pleading eyes, and smiled. "You may call me after my savior, Lady Az'Maria. My name is Marie."
Az smiled, and kissed the woman's forhead. "Alright then, Marie. You need blood." She brought the woman to her feet and lead her to the kitchen, handing her a packet. She noted that the blood packets were very low, but didn't tell.
"Drink that, Marie." she said, and then turned to Von. "Show her how. I need to get to Joshua or else we'll never get to France fast enough."

Marie looked at the packet in her hands, wondering where to rip. She then saw the tube and decided it was the best place. After she sucked it dry, she folded up the scraps neatly in a square and went to the trash can to throw it away before returning to her seat at the bar area near the sink/island. "So..." she said curiously, and a wake of calm went through the kitchen, "You are Lord Von? Rumors circulate about the vampires. Most try to dismiss them as false, becuase no one wants to think they're lives are controled by vampires. But there was one that you are a half breed. People find your black feathers and Lady Az'Maria's all the time."


Az quickly gave Von a kiss before leaving the mansion, not even looking back at Marie. Swiftly, she flew to the fledgling home. It smelt of blood out the front door, but Az just shook the lust from her head and entered. She brought her hand up and opened the door, and was immediately tackled by Joshua.
"Oh thank god you're here! We need you to talk to these people! One of Augustine's men came by and is helping me out, but they're all delerious! Just talk to them!"

"Well, I mean, everyone knows Lady Az'Maria, even though they don't want to admit it, she's pretty famous. So of course, when large white feathers to big to belong to a normal bird and which give off a glowing aura, people can make the connections. And when black feathers apear under the same conditions, it just has to be yours." she said, twiddling her fingers. "So... you are a vampire now? That's good, I guess. I'll be honest, Before Lady Az'Maria changed me, I was very keen on what was going on in the vampire world. I've lived in Seattle all my life, so I've know of Lady Az'Maria for a long time. She's always been rumored to be extremely beautiful, kind, powerful, and strong. But there were always these gossips of how lonely she was, and that the only thing she cared for was her city... I'm greatful she has you."

With a sigh, Az entered the first room. It was the room of the little boy they'd rescued first.
"Hello there, little one." she said, shutting the door behind her, "How are you?"
"I'm okay." he said quietly. He was sitting on his bed, his chin resting on his knees. Az came and sat at the foot of his bed, trying to be as quiet as possible.
"I hope Joshua hasn't been to mean to you."
"He hasn't."
"How is the medicine?"
"Nasty." he scoffed.
Az laughed, reaching out to ruffle his hair. The little boy didn't laugh. Az stopped, and scooted towards him.
"I'm cold." he said quietly, and she could hear the sadness creeping into his voice. "I know, sweety..."
"You're cold too..."
"... I know."
slowly, the little boy began to cry, and she held him close to her. He let out a wale, and she petted his hair.
"sh.... sh.... It's okay... I'm here..."

"Now why would you doubt it?" she said questioningly, "I've just lost my baby and my city. And to save me from the chaos, she bleed for me." Marie looked up to Von, her once blue eyes now a chilling yellow. "Everyone knows about vampires. And Lady Az'Maria is a legend in this city. She does so many things for the city: curing kids of cancer, rescuing those in danger, sometimes killing the murderers and serial killers to make the city safer. She's done so much. And there are some of the fledglings who have fun... for lack of a better word, in the city, so of course they talk about everything. Of course, some just dismiss it as petty rumors. Like I said, no one likes the idea of someone running your life."
