Hane sheathed his sword in the back of a man in transition, and readied is claws. He lept about the battlefield, flinging the blood of his enemies all about. As he turned, a feeble, bird-like abberant raked a talon across his face, leaving a shallow gash. "Was that supposed to hurt?" He grabbed it, smashing its skull against the pavement.

Alex gave in to his bestial side, becoming a whirling dervish of stings and flame, shedding tears for the lives he was taking.

Calmly, ignoring the itching and pinching feeling of his skin, he whirled around his pipe, braining and smashing nearby Aberrants to a pulp as he slowly made his way towards the building.

Alex too, made slow progress toward the building, eviscerating as he went.

The swell of Aberrants never seemed to abate as the quartet carved a path toward the building. It was as though the Aberrants were being generated two-for-one to their destruction.
As they fought, the suffered wounds began taking their toll. Alex's sudden descent into savage fury was not unnoticed by his body, as his twenty human nails grew and curved, hardening into black claws. Swatches of black fur grew over his hands and feet, ending at his ankles and wrists.
Raleigh bled from the slash across his shoulder, until the blood mysteriously slowed. His body temperature fell as his blood took on the properties and sheer cold of liquid nitrogen. Somehow, his tissues continued to function normally, though his body would never be warm again and was now much more susceptible to heat.
Hane idly scratched at the scar left by the bird Aberrant. The scar faded, though within his mouth, every tooth grew longer, sharper, granting him a mouth full of shark-like fangs. His mouth spread to allow for wider opening, enabling him to use every single fang in his bite.
The slaughter continued, as they pressed closer to the building. All the while, the green haze loomed over the Zone...

Ignoring his newest transformation, Raleigh turned his destructive attentions towards getting to the building, like the others. He continued to slash, half wondering where all these Aberrants were coming from.

These mutations seem...inevitable...but I gain a piece of power with each... Hane shouted. "You guys should get to searching! I can probably hold them off from here!" He parried two strikes from what resembled a giant mantis, then removed its head. "Six...seven...this is easy! Eig-ggh!!" He thrust his sword through the stomach of a man with snakes for arms, who at the same time, bit down on Hane's neck with his 'hand.'

Calmly, with ice water running through his veins, he mowed down any aberrants that got in his way, their blows doing nothing to his hardened exoskeleton. The next few that he brained ended up smashing against the wall of the building. He grabbed the doorhandle and twisted and pulled with all his might.

"Ohhhh Goood, I'm still changing... You did this to me, you aberrant sons of bitches! I'll destroy you all!" he roared, whipping off his shoes and socks.

Szon yanked and pulled on the door with the strength he had, finding it impossible to budge. It appeared to be locked from the inside. With enough effort, he pulled the door wide open.
As the air and radiation rushed in, Szon was greeted first by the sight of one of the large male guards, and then by a blast from the shotgun in his hands. If not for his chitin exoskeleton, he would have been sent screaming into oblivion.
Alex and Raleigh caught sight of Szon's entry into the building, and heard the discharge of the firearm from within.
Hane felt a pair of venom sacks develop in his throat, enabling him to spit like certain snakes can.

Alex listened for the rack of the shotgun and roasted the guard inside, rushing to do so before he finished racking.

Alex's blast of flame engulfed the man, causing him to drop his firearm and go scurrying for something to put himself out with. He ended up dropping prone and rolling to put the fire out, screaming all the while.
From behind him, a male voice cried out. "Jimmy! Oh, s#@t! What the Hell's going on up there?!"

s**t...that could've killed me...I need to be more careful. Hane continued guarding the building, this time focusing on one abberant at a time.

Raleigh walked casually in behind Alex, spinning his knives. "Where's the girl?" He asked no one in particular.

Seeing the identity of the person he'd just set alight, Alex's heart was crushed, he went inside and cried his eyes out. "Am I any different from the rest of these aberrants? I could have killed that man... I could have killed him... I am... just a monster..."
