Darn it, i'm so friggin' bored...

Thankies! whee ~pets~ Me too! gonk

Estelyn : That's because the PM was sent before she changed it, probably. wink

I'm intelligent enough! well, for the art part at least. xd ~starts concept sketching her 3 dragons picture~...hmm, I might need to tape paper together to make this one. sweatdrop

Estelyn: Well... I dunno if it would still charge you. If you want to be sure, you could always just look it up and request to join, I guess. I would, of course, accept you. 3nodding

No, not many Gaians have been joining... a pity. But since there's not so many people, we all certainly get plenty of individual attention.

Chokin: Ooh, dragons. I shall look forward to seeing that one. whee

Dragons are fun to draw, I have been addicted to them for the past year. ninja
It'll take me a while, it's going to be very detailed so I just want to start concept sketches right now. There are going to be 3 dragons, the one of the right (the one to the one in the center's left) will be a purely evil looking thing, the one to the left (to its right) will be a purely good one, and the one in the center will be a murger. ninja Pretty... biggrin

I use ninja too much. xd

I wish I could draw. gonk Art is so lost on me...it's pathetic. And it really bites when your brother is an amazing comic-book-manga-ish artist.

I like to define myself as a perfectionistic-realistic-anime/manga-type artist. xd
(And i will keep adding, mind you. I had to add the realistic recently when I changed my style slightly xd )

Sounds purdy. xd

I like to define myself as "I'll try anything once, no, not just anything you little smeghead, artwise" sort of artist. 3nodding

Actually... I tend to keep it to "semi-realistic" and just leave it at that. sweatdrop

Estelyn: Believe me... up until maybe a year ago, the people I drew were no better than stick figures, and prossibly even worse. But I kept drawing them in my free time and now they're... well, filled out, at least. Fairly realistic and right-looking. xd All it takes is practice and maybe a few lessons (and almost all art lessons are fun, in my experience). Maybe you should get a few drawing books, if you really want to learn. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain is supposedly a good one. I, ah, still have to finish my copy... But there are plenty of manga and anime books out there, too. Though I'd suggest learning the real human form before into the slightly malformed world of anime. o_O

Sorry, don't mean to lecture. sweatdrop

It's alright...I need all the help I can get. sweatdrop My brother tried teaching me to draw comic-book-ish when I was seven or so. That lasted all of one night. xp

You'd probably fare better to draw the real form, first... perhaps just people standing, a simple pose. Get all the basics down. Like... the rule that the human body is eight heads high and all that. Personally I don't bother with that. But you might just look it up or something. 3nodding

Yarr, my art teacher made me learn all the proportioning of the normal body... which really does help with anime proportioning.

'Realistic-Anime' in my book is semi-realistic XD. I just enjoy making it all long and 'well thought out'.

I make softer features than most anime will show; plus... I add the upper lip and the line of the lower lip. I lurve pointy hair, and sexy bangs; long hair on guys roxorz scream xd ! My eyes are more realistic, and I avoid giving girls chests that are rediculously large rolleyes . I need to work on my guy bodies, though. Mine look too girlish. ninja

I have to put the circles and the guide lines, ect. I'm a perfectionist that way. xd

I always have to put the guide lines... it turns out really badly if I don't. gonk And even if it doesn't, there's always something not quite right with it.

I hate the huge, er, "busts" they give anime women... that's probably why all my drawings of women have practically no chest at all. xd

Lately I've been moving to a semi-cartoonish, more realistic style... I'm much better at it, which makes me kinda relieved, actually. I was getting tired of the huge eyes and the pointy hair that never looks right when I draw it. sweatdrop I've also been working on drawing men... trying to remember that they have broader jaws, shoulders, no hips, etc. It's hard. xd

I'm also trying to draw noses better... they're not as easy as you might think. Hehe.

One of my friends is going to write a story about how the Inu Yasha characters transfered to our school. XD
They lurve Inu Yasha's long hair. It's even more sezzay when he's human and it's black. ninja

ninja Atem all the way, baby! XD

I put them there for the same reasons. biggrin

I hate when they give rediculously large 'chest areas' on the girls. But I cannot say I draw no chest, because... um... okay, saying that would get WAY too personal... xd . Yes, I'm a girl... but "I cannot make all my females look like old ladies!" gonk <--Quoting my art teacher right there. whee (Yes, she actually said that)

I got really tired of the huge eyes, now mine are a more normal size. I like to draw more normal looking pointy hair. 3nodding That is the same problem I am having with my guys. domokun

I have my style noses down... for the most part. XD I mess them up ever once and a while, then the face is all proportioned wrong... ugh! It's annoying! gonk

I draw my noses rather strangely... they're sort of stylized, but I think they get the job done. xd

Yeah, I'm working on giving my female drawings more of a chest and bigger hips. Except for the naturally smaller ones, of course.

It's hard to draw good-looking eyes... especially when they're larger, though, in my opinion. When they're more normal size they're generally easier.

I need to e-mail my old art teacher, speaking of them... hrm. gonk
