"I'm not a bad person!" she defended, her emerald eyes windening slightly before she narrowed them, watching the man. Yeah, looks like he'll be gone soon enough, she thought, though she was pretty sure that by leaving he didn't mean he'd be walking out of the prison any time soon.

The half demon's eyes widened once more and she took a step back. Her hand aoutomatically covered her mouth which was wide open.

Mickey took another step, slowly backing away from the old man. She was done talking to him, and she hoped that either he would keep talking to his skeleton friend or that Kaiya would say something to him.

Kiaya glanced over at Mickey and her light blue eyes were confused. Was this sort of thing so odd? Will talking to a skeletion was werid even for Kiaya, but she'd seen dead people rise from the grave and even saw her brothers arm rot away. Surely this was not as horrorfying or werid as that."Sir I'm afrian that you are mistaken on many levels."the dragon knight said specking in a ploite and formal tone."Rian has taken power, the woman of which you speck to is dead. Hari left us on his own accord."though she knew her and Claw were to blame."And none of us are ill of heart, ir atlkest more good then ill."she said and glanced over at Claw.

Kiaya sighed and pulled her shetlth(sp?) off of her waist and pulled the sword our enough for him to see it."As a Dragon Knight of the Dusis kingdom I swear to you I tell no lies before thy."she said formaly remebering the worlds that were said when a person of high power did not trust or belive a dragon knight. She doupted it would help, but she had to try before saying screw it and go bother Claw.

That may not have been the answer Kiaya was looking for, but it was good enough. She slid the sword back in to place on her wiast as she stood up stright."Well that must mean Hari's comeing back right pinky,"she said with a smile not remebering Mickeys name.

Claw's cries of protest and complaint had died down, but he was still laying on the floor. His hands covered the back of his head and his ears, trying to block out the rest of the world from his thoughts. 'I'll wake up soon' the boy thought to himself. 'I'm not in jail. I'm back at home, in bed... This dream will be over, and tomorrow it'll be like it never even existed! My pants won't be ripped... and, and I'll be clean and well fed!' Claw's eyes were tightly shut, and he was even rocking side to side slightly now, seeking any comfort her could get from it. Fear that he'd been trying so hard to mask away had burst through his limit.


The Miattu had safely made it back to camp. The trip hadn't been nearly as long as the one past Yills and back to the other city, and it hadn't been nearly as pressured. The other beasts didn't give the Warriors and Hunters a second glance when they entered; they, on the other hand, had not been informed about the news of the dragon the first day the group had set out.
Now, the group was split up, and slowly melting back into Clan life. The Hunters went back to their own dens to rest and see their mates, while the Warriors sunk down by the entrence and rested their heads on their forepaws, just in case a sudden attack would spring up.
Holt's shaky mother trotted back to her own den, where she was eagerly greeted by her two other female kits.
The lead Warrior had other plans. On two paws, he padded over the the Chief's den, and let himself in.
The young Hunter couldn't help but wonder what the report would sound like- that was, if the Warrior was giving a report to the Chief. Holt bounded up to the opening of the underground burrow, settling down. He leaned his head forward, and listened in for any signs of conversation.
"There were obvious scentings of a dragon, though no human in the group that the stench was coming from admitted it." One voice reported. "But the Human Chief- the one from the city you signed a treaty with- warded us off. The humans had come into his land (with whatever dragon smell they were carrying), and we were forced to turn back."
"We shall not tell the rest of the Clan about what happened. Nobody. The tension between us and the city shall not rise, and we shall not break our half of the treaty."
"I understand, but Sir-"
"We don't want our own Warriors or Hunters or Guards, or even kits and females to freak out about another threat from a dragon. I do not want this Camp's mood to vary from outside affairs. There is a dragon, I can confirm. Even if I hadn't seen it with my two eyes, or smelt it with my nose, there is no other reason for that Human to take interest if they weren't carrying a serpent in their party."
"But Sir, we need to be alert in case it comes into our camp! The trail we followed took to the other side of Uzx(sp?), thank goodness, but we can't be sure for next time!"
"No. It's best if we stay calm."
"But Sir-"
"That will be all. You are excused."
The Warrior didn't speak anymore. Footsteps could be heard from inside the den, and the strong male emerged, muttering to himself bitterly.
Holt shrunk back to hide, but the male didn't notice him anyways, being too consumed with his own words.

Claw had fallen asleep some point in the night, and he still didn't wake up when the morning came. The rats nibbling at him were a major set-back; they caused him to twitch and turn every five minutes. But the rodents had been attracted by the blood and cuts on his knees, and had persisted on coming back to lick through the slashes in his pants.
