Beyond sight of everyone else, Saradin battled himself in the yard to one side of the manor. There was one sword between the two of them, planted firmly in the soil a yard away as they tousled for a chance to reach it. A couple of swift punches from one were parried and met with a charge into the attacker as a knee slammed into his chest. The follow up hammer blow came down a bit short as its target toppled backwards intentionally. From there he lurched forward again and sharply raised an elbow into the other's chin and throwing him off balance.

In that was his only chance to claim the blade planted a few feet away. The dirt skid loose under his feet as he turned away and bolted for his only chance. His foe recouped from the assault and snapped his hand around taking up the gun he carried from his back and bringing it forward against the 'real' Saradin.

The first gunshot was fired but a second after a blade was freed from the ground and used as a delfecting shield against it. The bullet ripped a small chunk from the sharp edge as it was redirected to one side of vital tissues. The second gunshot was met in a similar fashion, actually clapped out of the air by the sword in an upward stroke but further marring the sword and jolting it to one side. The final bullet met much more success as it punched through skin on Saradin's arm and sank into the bone before halting. Blood was already staining the grass as the arm slunk down from defending his chest, injured.

Bastet yawned and stretched in her cat-like manner, and sat rubbing at her eyes, still recovering from crying too much. Folding her arms over her knees she sat with her head sunk low, hating feeling vulnerable physically or emotionally. In a sluggish haze she stood and made herself presentable, then left her room and headed to the kitchen to find some of Saradin's cooking.

Kepi poked his head out of the door watching Bastet walk off. He tilted his head to the side, mewed and then bounded after her stopping in the kitchen to rub her legs for some treats. Bastet seemed despondent, so he sat back on his hind legs and leaned on her leg for support.

Bastet sat at the table with some food and absentmindedly threw some down to Kepi, as she stared at the opposite wall.

"I'm going to get you something to eat, I'll bring you back something."
Eclipse left Aurahkah to both the book and spirits and shadow walked himself from the room, padding down the hall slowly, only the sound of his claws clicking on the marble floor along with the gold bangles that clanked together, making his presence known. He entered into the kitchen, seeing Bastet for the first time in days. "Ah, Kitty...how are you feeling?"

Pheau shook her head at Taig's antics. His leaving her meant that she should get to know those around her. 'looking for company' was just his excuse. Pheaura cleared her throat, "Hello, I am Lady Pheaura."

"Paranoid cats..." Eclipse fluffed his wings slightly then turned his conversation to Bastet to 'private mode'. 'Pheaura's memories have been blocked, she can't remember who any of us are...just introduce yourself and start over...it won't be long, there's a spell that boy with her is trying to make to remove the block on her memories.'

Bastet nodded and turned back to Pheaura pasteing on a smile. "Nice to meet you Pheaura. I am Bastet. I apologize, you looked familiar for a minute there." Well then she doesn't remember the teasings they shared either. She smiled again and called Kepi over to her, she picked him up and plopped him on Eclipse's back. "He can not help it, he has had a hard life. Just be nice to him Clipsy or I wont give you a treat."

Pheuara nodded to the cat, "That is a very beautiful cat you have Bastet." Pheaura admired the cat's beauty, not quite sure what to say to this stranger.
