Argh. I was all "oh, I'm going to go write creepy fanfics for works I'm not actually a fan of, la-de-dah" and then it was like BOOT-TO-THE-HEAD HERE'S A PLOT AND CHARACTERS HAVE FUN WITH THAT NOW. On one hand, it's nice to have an original project to work on, but... I'm looking at it and I'm like, this is 100% manga, and guess who a) can't draw well enough to do that and b) is NEVER going to have the connections to get this published. And I'm not thrilled about how sudden it was. I really wanted to finish up "Cold Morning Light" and get some progress on the... other thing done before I got sidetracked. Again.
